My experience honestly wasn't the best. I understand this isn't a corporate-owned Chick-fil-A, but it was still frustrating that they didn't offer much of the standard menu. It was also disappointing that the customer service didn't have the friendly, welcoming attitude Chick-fil-A is known for. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food, and unfortunately none of it tasted fresh. Parking was also very limited, which made the visit even more inconvenient. I've been here before, and it was a very similar experience then as well. Even though my experiences here haven't been great, it's the only Chick-fil-A on the island, so it's hard to pass up when you're craving it. Alan took our order. Seemed tired but hey, he's trying. Out of all the CFAs I've been to, not a single soul said "my pleasure." It's like a backsliding, black sheep of CFAs. I tried to use my points but Alan said they are privately owned so they don't do that. It's the only CFA on the island so it's crazy busy. No Drive Through. They spit the food out quickly though. At first, I was surprised at the low rating for a Chick-fil-A. I've never seen such a low rating in the years of visiting a Chick-fil-A. But here's why this Chick-fil-A needs some improvements. The young man who took my order was very inattentive, and that was no surprise when my order came back wrong. After I addressed it, he turned to speak with some team members who all stood with their backs turned to me confused, trying to figure out what happened. So the location sorta sucks there's not that much parking there's homeless people and no drive thru or mobile ordering which would be very helpful to have more parking a drive thru and less homeless people. Also at this location they don't have any salads or wraps available but they do weirdly have a dippin dots and pretzels available. This Chick-fil-A location already deserves a low rating for not offering a full menu. You'd think that would be the only con about this location but it's not. I went one day a few minutes after they opened and it felt so awkward walking up to the counter. All of the employees were looking at me annoyed and as if they already worked a full shift and were ready to go. Anyway, I ordered grilled nuggets, fries and a frosted coffee. It took a few minutes for my food to come out but I noticed when an employee handed me my bag, it was lighter than it should have been so I knew something was missing. I went back up to the counter and told someone that I didn't get my fries. A lady who looked like she may have been a manager apologized to me and gave me the fries. Staying nearby and wanted a quick lunch so I drove over here. The parking lot is extremely tight for spaces as this location as situated directly across the street from the pier with the rides and ocean. Once inside as you would expect long lines but rest assured your meal is made fresh. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich with a Diet Dr. Pepper and my colleague had a chicken wrap. We searched for a clean spot to sit and eat. They lose a star as the place unfortunately due to the heavy crowds didn't seem as clean as it could be and what I am used to by the locations near me in South Florida. Typical busy Chick Fil A located across from the Galveston Pleasure Pier. It was also conveniently next to where we were staying so we were able to walk to it easily. There is not a drive thru at this location and there is also a Dippin Dots inside. The line inside moved quickly and we were in and out in no time. We ordered a chicken sandwich and chicken nuggets. About 10min after i ate the chicken sandwich and no salt fries i got very painful stomach cramps and diarrhea.

Usually eat my fries first but they tasted a little funny. I went to eat my sandwich and on my second or third bite, I felt something weird in my mouth. Pulled it out and it's a freaking nail tip! Almost immediately threw up. Eat here at your own risk! They did refund my money but you can't refund having that experience. Okaaaaay, so I love CFA, but was this really the best location for customers who choose to drive in. Sheeeesh! Getting to it was difficult, as the street does a cut off and the building is oddly shaped and is shared by a Dip N Dots. Although I was only 2.7 miles away, it took 14 minutes to get there. I entered into the side door and there is appropriate signage telling you where the line starts. That's great! I was one person away from standing outside, but in true CFA fashion, the line moved quickly. The prices seem to be a bit higher. It could just be me and I didn't do a cost analysis or gap assessment... lol. They just look higher. This is an Express CFA, similar to the airport I guess, so they do not sell kids meals, etc. I was so overwhelmed that by the time I ordered, I only ordered fries. I didn't want anything else after the chaotic adventure. You can tell all employees attended the same training, which is great. The service was as expected. Perhaps I should not have chosen to go to this CFA on a Saturday afternoon, but unfortunately I will not be back to this location. Too overwhelming and a bit of a madhouse for me. read more

This location is no different, but I have to remove a star because they don't participate in Chick-Fil-A's rewards program. I removed another star because they had a very long & very slow line. I know this is a five-star review for a Chick-Fil-A, on the seawall, and owner by Landry's no less, but they earned it. We were there on a busy Summer late afternoon/early evening. Just ordered a lemonade because, believe it or not, we had a hard time finding a fresh-ish lemonade anywhere else. My family of three was able to set up on the bar and gaze at Pleasure Pier and the beach. Even though we could've been seen as loiterers, just sitting there sharing a large lemonade between us, we were cheerfully engaged and offered refills by a couple different attendants. We ended up feeling so comfortable we decided to give our wallets a break and save our fancy seafood dinner for another night and got Chick-Fil-A instead. Attendants were also attentive enough to grab our tray of trash and throw it out for us. Before we left, we decided to brave the restrooms. I braced myself knowing how busy they were and the prime location they had to the beach. I was pleasantly surprised by a very clean restroom and an attendant walking in right before me to make sure everything was in order. Thank You for having the standards you have, Chick Fil A. Love this express! The fams and I came here just before we left Galveston. It was nice because it faced the beach area. I've never enjoyed Chick-fil-A, while staring at the ocean... or in this case, the Gulf of Mexico. My favorite part of this location (other than the beach views) was that there was a Dippin Dots in the same space. So, we got our chicken sandwich, waffle fries and drink, then got some of the famous Dippin Dots ice cream. The space was small, but customer service impressed in such a big way! Way to go staff! Everyone was so nice and kept the cleaning up as well. Parking was even easy, too. So, going to Galveston for a quick getaway? Chick-fil-A is an easy way to fill your belly and get some gnarly boardwalk views, too. It's close to many local hotels and Moody Gardens, too! read more
