The roast beef has drastically changed at Golden Corral. I have always enjoyed the roast beef there. It was so juicy and so tender that it fell apart with a touch of the fork. There was no need for gravy because of the natural juices. The taste was just like my mom's (50 years ago). The roast beef is now very different. Twice now: --the roast beef was sliced and held its shape when placed on my plate--no longer tenderly falling apart. The roast is tough. --the roast beef was very, very dry, no longer juicy, no longer having natural juices. --The taste was bland--no longer perfect. The meat is very lean and apparently not roasted with any fat cuts of roast beef meat. In addition, the larger cut pieces of red potatoes were very hard--not done. To Golden Corral, please bring back the roast beef that so many of us have long enjoyed. read more

We went on Saturday May 2 for dinner. They had lobster tails for an additional price. Everyone in our party got one. The food was amazing. The steaks were tender. The lobster tails were cooked to order and they were seasoned and tender. They served them with melted butter. All the other food we tried was outstanding. I highly recommend this Golden Corral. Alicia was awesome!!!! Buffets are up and running in full force! Breakfast was delicious!!! Omelette bar, salad bar and dessert bar!!! Deep fried bacon dipped in country gravy was superb!! French toast, pancakes all made to order ! Unlimited refills and the best waitress I have ever had at a Golden Corral and even most restaurants!!! Haha sooooo, I never really thought about posting pics here since we come so often, but it was my grandmother idea. Food: ALWAYS HOT AND READY Fresh. Omg I love the candy yams. The desert options seem so unreal. From bread pudding to peach cobbler, to chocolate covered strawberries all the way down to cheese cake and key lime pie, they got it! Germs? : Never seen hair or anything on the areas where food are. Not sure when they clean, but clearly they do lol Friendliness: Worked are always kind and patient. Always nice. Seems like High turnover but it could be a million reasons like low pay, so with that being said, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO TIP YOUR SERVER! They work for tips, clean after you, refill your sinks and many other things. Without them it'll be hard to enjoy this place. Vegan options: A ton of them. The salad bar alone is to liveeeee for! Would highly recommend. I use to make sure to get a salad with pickles everytime- before I leave until o realized that I would eat healthy after I ate all the bad stuff lol All the dressings like a Salata. Togo: If you don't have time to dine in, you can but food to go and they weight it! Pretty cool if you ask me. Side note, my grandma always complain about eating too much. I had never been to a Golden Corral before because honestly I can be kind of uppity about food. I was very pleasantly surprised though. Nothing mind-blowing, but this was definitely the best quality of any buffet in this price range I've been to. The fried chicken was super crispy, and everything was tasty. On top of that, the service was really amazing. Our server checked in regularly, filled waters, and gave us everything we needed. Gave 1 star for the salad bar. But I don't even know where to begin with the dissatisfaction. First off, there is no indication that they don't start serving steak till 4 pm. We got there at 2 and paid full price for absolute trash. How anyone could enjoy this disgusting food is beyond comprehension. Cafeteria hospital food is better than this debauchery. The pizza was some salt sauce and pepperoni with plastic cheese on cardboard. They had BS popcorn shrimp and the fried fish was chunks of salty batter bits. Front cashier named Holly was extremely rude and unprofessional. She should not work at this establishment and management needs to review her employment. Holly needs an attitude adjustment or not work in customer service. She told us to back up in line even though we weren't close to the person in front of us, demanded we tell the drink maker what we wanted before checking us out, had no patience, and then when asking about the price, she told us just to look on the receipt. It was the manner in which we were treated that was not okay. The food was actually very good. And other employees were courteous and treated us kindly. I work in healthcare so I understand some people are slower than we prefer but everyone should be treated with respect and kindness and that wasn't what we received on our initial impression with the cashier. read more

Can you ever go wrong with Golden Corral? You get an endless feast of fresh food. I am on a medically induced specific food diet, and Golden Corral makes it so easy! Workers even helped accommodate giving me fresh strawberries that had not been dipped in chocolate yet. My kids love it too and found all their favorites. Tables were kept clean and turned over quickly for the next guests. As this is in a vacation town, they were quite busy, but they kept good service and cleared the table of dirty plates often. The food was hot, seasonal and plentiful. The wait staff seemed a little annoyed by the sheer volume of people in the restaurant. Honestly, I can't blame them for that though. My steak was cooked great so there aren't any real complaints. Our displeasure was more with the other patrons than with the staff or the restaurant itself. We got our money's worth and everyone got to pick what they wanted to their liking so overall it wasn't bad. They COVID protocols are not enforced so some guest use gloved to get their food while others don't. Some people wear masks and others don't so just be prepared to see that. read more

As always this place never disappoints. There is a wide variety and the bonus now is take out. You can choose whatever you want and you are charged by weight. All the food is fresh due to the turnover. And you can see exactly what you are getting. If you've been to the Golden Corral, there's no surprise. Desserts were average. Overall probably one of the better food qualities of a Golden Corral that We have experienced and would go back simply for the variety and short wait for seating. I had bought a mask from an approved CDC and FDA regulated website and they came up to me and proceeded to harass me about what I needed to wear for their face covering "safety" I tried to explain to them that I had all regulations met that and they proceeded to argue with me...Needless to say I got my meal refunded and didn't even bother to sit down at the table they chose to argue with me from beginning to end and I left. We're in town on vacation and ate lunch at Golden Corral. We were very satisfied with lots of tasty food and so much to choose from. We had a very nice, attentive lady take care of us at our table. Before we finished we saw her leave most likely at the end of her shift. Right away another nice lady checked on us. We were impressed because we've had other dining experiences that didn't go like that. This location seems to be well managed and everyone we encountered gave great service.
