Came here for the first time. Had to pick up my Target order and this is located in the same plaza so decided to go through drive through and give it a try. They have new salads called Zensibles and includes 4 types of salads. I opted for the Cobb salad with fried chicken and ranch. Decided to park in the lot and eat since I had some time on my lunch hour and since the chicken was nice and hot. The salad overall was good. The chicken had a nice crisp on it. Wasn't aware the salad had some sort of chips on it so if I do ever order again I'll get without. It kept me satisfied for hours and was happy with my decision for lunch. This updated review is based solely on customer service. We went here to pick up food. Went inside because the drive thru lane was wrapped around the building. My husband was inside for 20 mins before I called to ask him what was taking so long, then another 10 mins before I went inside to find out for myself. Once I got inside, I asked for the manager, and the 4 girls standing around didn't respond, then one finally decided to answer and called the manager. It took her about 5 mins to come from wherever she was to address the issue. When she asked the girl in the kitchen, she responded "Telling me that ain't gonna make me move any faster". The disrespect was ridiculous and the amount of not care they all gave further told me they don't care about the customers. Having to wait 30 mins for 10 wings and a chicken sandwich is absolutely absurd, especially when there are 3 others in the kitchen working, and other restaurants would never. So glad I don't need to eat here and because of the nasty attitude these kids are giving, they will never get my money again. Whomever is the owner or manager of this location needs to address the issue and maybe do some training on how to treat your customers. read more

It took almost 5 minutes for me to order two meals because the girl couldn't comprehend what I was trying to order. She probably could have if she wasn't messing around and giggling the entire time that I was trying to order. As much as I love Zaxby's, unfortunately this location is not very consistent. It's usually a hit or miss with the food. My go to meal is usually the kickin chicken sandwich meal. Sometimes the chicken is cooked to perfection and other times it can be overcooked with small tenders. The service has been great in spite of the current pandemic going on in the world. First time at Zaxby's so didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality. As with any new restaurant there are mishaps, however I had none on this visit. We dined in so can't remark on the drive thru, but if you've ever been at the other chicken chain on Waters, the wait is just as bad. The interior was nice and clean since it's very new. Ordering was easy and food came out shortly after. My nibblerz came with three bite size chicken sandwiches, but I was full after two of them. The chicken was crisp and crunchy with just the right amount of seasoning. The manager walked around in the dining area greeting guests which is always a good thing. Went to Zaxby's to get a late dinner and luckily it wasn't packed like it normally is. I ordered a nibbler meal which is like mini slider sandwiches with fries and a coke. I was told I had to wait for fresh chicken. Which I totally get being that it was later. I asked if I could get fresh fries since I had to wait. No problem was the response. I waited about 10 minutes in the well lit parking lot and they brought my food out. I could smell the chicken. It was heavenly. Drove home which is about five minutes away. And chowed down. Having heard for years about Zaxby's, I knew I needed to try this place when it opened near my home. Having done so, I don't understand the appeal. I ordered a Cajun Club meal, from a very friendly guy at the counter. I happily got my soda from the Coke Freestyle machine and grabbed a seat. A few minutes later, the friendly guy brought me my food. I enjoyed the decor just fine, it was clean and nice. The country music (which I'm not sure I understand) was playing fairly loudly, but it didn't offend me or anything. So, the food. Eh.....It was all just so...bland. There was a seasoning of some kind on my chicken, but it couldn't even remotely be called spicy or cajun in nature. The cheese on the sandwich was sliced American (REALLY?) and hadn't even melted. I made my first visit to Zaxby's tonight. Coworkers said good things. The drive thru was ridiculous so I went inside. After ordering there was a very long wait. And I must've seen over 10 people working. Two members of the staff were very attentive and apologetic towards one customer who ordered after I ordered. They said nothing to me. After that other customer was taken care of, someone asked about my order, then walked away. Eventually someone asked if I wanted to change my order, if not I'd have to wait another 5 minutes. I waited. I've never seen so many people work with their backs to customers. After 5 minutes, I tried to get someone's attention. One staff member was busy talking to his friend across the counter, but I was close enough to hear him talk about his hospital visit, his broken finger and how he was "so mad." Even though I walked to the counter and stood close enough to eavesdrop, he never thought to ask if he could help me with anything. At that point I asked to cancel my order. That was also a charade. I eventually got my refund. No apology though. The cold beer had been sitting in my car for approximately half an hour. And I missed a bit more of the playoff game that was on than I planned. I tried this Zaxby's because I drive by it often, and heard it was really good. I went the drive thru route, and tried a chicken tender meal with fries, Zaxby's sauce and honey mustard. They were courteous and fast enough. When I arrived home everything was still hot. I wasn't expecting coleslaw or Texas toast. The tenders were PERFECT. Much better than PDQ. Didn't give me the greasy regrets. They were quite filling too, so I skipped the slaw and bread. The fries were big and crinkle cut. I'm usually not a fan of that style because they tend to be dry. Pretty much the case here though the Zaxby's sauce really saved them. The tomato-based sauce makes for a unique ketchup. Impressive first visit. read more

Used to eat here all the time when it first opened because it was right next to our house. It was always so yummy and I completely forgot about them when we moved away but we went the other day and it's been a year since we went and it's still just as good. They have a ton of options. I love that they have different sauce varieties and heats. The sides are unique and not just your typical boring drive through sides such as fried mushrooms etc. The chicken is always tender and perfectly fried, and the fries are soo tasty. Perfectly seasoned and salted and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are the nice thick cut crinkle fries too. I was never a big fan of Zaxby's until I tried this location as it was recently opened. I am so glad I did. I was missing out on some delish food because the other location I ate was not the greatest. First, the place is super clean, the staff is always cleaning and restocking napkins etc. The food is always fresh, it takes a few minutes but that's how I know it's not just sitting out and I always get my meal served fresh at this location. Lastly, but most importantly, the staff here is AWESOME. They work really hard, are very friendly, and truly seem to enjoy working here. Even though many of them are young, I never notice them just staring at their phones like you see at other places. I love zaxby but the closest one to me is the one in town n country and their food isn't worth that distance. But Not anymore. This zaxby just opened up last monthand has been crazy crowded every time I drove past. Friday night, I noticed the line wasn't wrapped around the building as usual and decided to give it a try. I ordered the chicken finger sandwich, fries and a lemonade. I'm not a big fry person. I usually eat a few and discard/give away the rest but I ate every single fry lol. They were hot, crispy and soft on the inside just like I like em. My chicken finger sandwich was equally as delicious and I liked how they didn't just throw my sandwich together like fast food restaurants tend to do. Service was quick as well. This is one of the poorer examples of a Zaxby's I've seen, and I've been to at least 50 of them in my work travels over the last 19 years. It's one of the cleaner ones, and the staff are among the friendliest, but the most important feature of a restaurant is the food, and theirs is NEVER fresh. I've been to this location three times, and each time I ordered the same meal (boneless wings and things). All three times I got food that looked, felt and tasted like it was cooked 30 minutes before I walked in. Every other Zaxby's takes at least 10 minutes to get you your food, mine always magically appears before me within 5 minutes at this location. Speed is not a good thing unless you consider yourselves fast food. As I sit here typing this I am leaving a plate full of almost all of the cold, brown fries I received, half of the hard, chewy chicken fingers, and half the piece of cold toast. The only thing fully eaten was the boneless wings, which had about 1 teaspoon of wing sauce on them. So it's not they they were the best thing I received, they were just the least-awful. First of all, I think this might be my first Yelp review about "fast food." It's not a genre I ever eat unless I'm forced to on a road trip. However, I am from Buffalo, NY, and am a chicken-finger connoisseur, so I decided to give this place a chance. Additionally, it was on a road trip of sorts. We had been at the beach all day and were halfway back home to central Tampa. The service is amazing! I have never seen fast-food workers who take so much pride in their jobs. These people were drinking the Zaxby's cool-aid! They seemed more like Disney employees than fast-food workers. Both a female counter gal and a male (possible the manager/franchisee) went out of their way to make sure we liked everything. The food was a solid 4 stars, but my review overall is rounded up for the above mentioned points. We had the chicken finger sandwiches on Texas toast. While the chicken fingers themselves were super juicy and moist, the Texas toast was too greasy to eat them on. I love sauce and enjoyed the variety. We tried the Zax, hot honey mustard, insane hot and ranch. What is missing from the sauce variety, for me, is a spicy bbq and blue cheese. Serving ranch with hot sauce is an insult to the folks in Buffalo that created the cuisine. Aside from the bread and sauce small issues, I really enjoyed our meal. Additionally, it was so cheap!! $12 and change for 2 meals with drinks. I am a fan!
