Just came through the drive-thru one night for a quick dinner. The place looks very nice and they have a large sit down area inside unlike the other Chick-fil-A in Thousand Oaks. The drive-thru went quickly and they were very friendly. They got our order right and did not forget the sauces. Our food was good as is always the case with Chick-fil-A. I went there a few days ago and was so disappointed. I had a free coupon for a chicken sandwich , fries and a drink( total was $7.19). Chick-fil-A has the delicious spicy sauces to go with their juicy chicken. They offer chicken biscuits for breakfast that you don't find at other fast food places and their sausage, egg and cheese biscuits are just as good. Besides the food, the Chick-fil-A on Moorpark is a pleasant place, it is clean, all the staff are friendly. I learned that the owner treats their employees well, that is why the staff enjoy working there and thus are always pleasant toward the customers. The owner is quick to respond to the tragic event in Thousand Oaks, the restaurant delivered sandwiches to the 1st respondents involved with the mass shooting. He also gives away free food to firefighters and police who ate at the restaurant. The restaurant is always busy and I hope that it will continue to prosper for what it offers to the community. read more

I love this place, I have been coming to your restaurant over 5 years at this Thousand oak, CA location. but Today 07/31/2020 after 5 pm I placed an order on drive trough. For 30 count grilled chicken nugget ( they did not have on the menu they were going to make 30. Used to sell 30 ct for $17) person who orders taking spoke with inside with headset to confirm..and 3 lemonade 3 fries.. I drive up for payment my order person who charged my card and did not read back to me my order she told me $26.i told myself yes it is right about there and they deliver the order on a busy parking lot..(COVID19) so i did not check the bag. I drive home when I got home I find out.. I received 12 and 8 grilled nuggets... I called the store's first staff on the phone he was kind and he told me they can make up on my next order... I asked him how are you going to know me? then he said my manager will take your name and transferring his manager... Her name is Kayla Sanders.. I explain to her what happened Her first response "sir unfortunately your order correct. I can not do anything." I was shocked she meant I am laying..i said "you guys are not giving receipt upon my payment and did not read back to me my order when you are taking my payment" unfortunately i lost my tamper and I got angry grab the food back from the front of my kids..and drive back to store to return the food...She was so unfriendly and rude refused to refund my money and never corrected her attitude.she did not take the food back.I left all my purchase..on your entrance trash.. please refund my money and hire professional people that really can manage your restaurant..so your customers do not have to dive back to your store with that type of person.. Great food but customer service could use a little help. Came here on my lunch break about 10 mins before closing, went up to the drive thru and ordered. While ordering the girl on the other end kept laughing and would have to turn off the mic for a few seconds while ordering my food it didn't bother me but what did was she clearly did not pay attention to what I ordered and 2 items were missing. At first I didn't catch it but when I was told it would be a few mins until my order was ready she had me pull up and wait. When she brought the food out I noticed that she forgot my Mac and cheese, she brought that out, then at that point I needed to get back to work so as I left I realized she didn't get my drink either. Very frustrating because I wasn't able to go back. When I looked at my receipt only my salad was on there nothing else. At least I didn't pay for it but still upsetting! That being said, I ordered a chicken wrap meal and although Ali brain farted and charged me for just the wrap it was completely alright due to 1. Her bright, adorable personality and B. Brad swooped in and saved the day. Let me tell you about Brad... I have no idea how to pronounce his Scandinavian last name but he's a calm, cool cucumber, and knows exactly what he's doing. He not only informed me the next couple of steps he was going to take to not only fix my order and give me a refund for the wrong order but he did it swiftly and confidently which created the perfect learning experience for Ali. That's a heck of a manager if you ask me. Next, there's Jackie. OMG, I'm literally going to adopt her as my new grandmother. She made the already great experience skyrocket. Beaming personality, incredible laugh, sweet disposition... I could go on for days. I walked into this place today and ordered a 12 piece chicken nugget meal (#3). Upon paying, the staff informed me that they are out of the medium-size cups that come with the combo. So I have to either just take a small cup for the same price or pay more for a large cup. I was just thinking to myself how ridiculous of statement that was. So you want your customers to pay for your mistakes? You would charge them more for a bigger cup, yet you won't give customers a discount for a smaller cup because of your own mistakes for not being prepared? How is that even fair to the customers? I know this sounds very trivial, but it's about the principle of fairness. A more proper way of handling the situation would be a statement like "since we are out of the medium cups that come with the combo meals, we will just give you a large cup free of charge instead." Come on, management this is the first thing you guys need to learn about customer service. You wouldn't expect you paying for a business class flight ticket, and being informed at the gate since the airliner oversold the business class tickets, you have either just take an economy for the same price you paid or pay additional $1000 for a first class tickets, would you? The menu at Chick-fil-A is super simple but the fried chicken is sooo good they don't need a large menu. It's almost like the In-n-Out for chicken sandwiches. Both the friend chicken breast and the grilled chicken are extremely juicy. I suspect they brine the chicken in order to make it that good. Continuing the theme of simplicity, the sandwiches themselves are really simple. It's just the chicken, pickle and bun. If you go for the "deluxe" you get lettuce and tomato. I really like this since you don't get a lot of other things detracting from the simple goodness of the chicken. And then throw in some waffle fries and a lemonade on the side and it doesn't get much better than that. read more

I have enjoyed eating regularly at this location for a long time. Recently, though, to save a few pennies, they instituted a disgusting policy of recovering and reusing sauce containers that were issued to customers. They have a collection container on top of the filthy trash cans in which they ask customers to fish their sauces out of the used tray of food and put it in the container, so they can be re-issued to new customers. How can this make sense to anyone? This is disgusting for multiple reasons, not the least of which is that the store is giving food to customers that have already been in the hands of previous customers. They lost custody of the sauce containers and have no idea what might have happened to them during that time. Then they're storing them on top of trash containers before handing them back out to new customers. If you get a BBQ sauce container, you literally have no idea of where it's been, what non-employee customers have handled it, or what they might have done to it. If that's even legal, I would be aghast. I expressed my concern about this to the manager and he said it saves them money, and they "clean the containers" before handing them back out again.
