Tried stopping by again today for the first time after about 8-9 months hoping things would be better. They are worse. I started my order in the drive through at 7:47am. The lady taking my order stopped mid-sentence and said "just a sec" and then never came back. About 2 minutes later, the next lady (different) that came on the speaker asked me what I wanted to order and I said I already started my order with the other person. She seemed confused and said "ok then pull forward." When I got up to the window they asked what my order was, and when I told the person, they seemed bewildered and then started entering my order (apparently it didn't get taken at the drive through speaker). I then proceeded to wait for the 5 cars parked in the turn-about in front of me while each of their orders was fulfilled ***slowly*** ahead of mine. I finally got my order and drove away at 8:03am. I really don't understand why it takes so long to sling some eggs and hash browns into a tortilla and throw it in a bag (and yes, I understand they claim it's "fresh" but come on, it's still supposedly 'fast food'. This location really needs to look at drive through speed especially in the morning hours (and also should figure out a way to get the staff to seem less confused about everything) -- it seems like it's not really managed at all in the mornings. I keep trying to give this location a shot and hope it will get better because I support the values Chick-Fil-A stands for, but I'm done. Updated review 4/27: I returned to Chick-fil-a this evening with both of my kids. We ordered the grilled cheese kids meal. Let's just say it's not a grilled cheese...it's a semi toasted bun with 2 slices of cheese slapped on in hopes it'll warm up. I love this place, I have been coming to your restaurant over 5 years at this Thousand oak, CA location. but Today 07/31/2020 after 5 pm I placed an order on drive trough. For 30 count grilled chicken nugget ( they did not have on the menu they were going to make 30. Used to sell 30 ct for $17) person who orders taking spoke with inside with headset to confirm..and 3 lemonade 3 fries.. I drive up for payment my order person who charged my card and did not read back to me my order she told me $26.i told myself yes it is right about there and they deliver the order on a busy parking lot..(COVID19) so i did not check the bag. I drive home when I got home I find out.. I received 12 and 8 grilled nuggets... I called the store's first staff on the phone he was kind and he told me they can make up on my next order... I asked him how are you going to know me? then he said my manager will take your name and transferring his manager... Her name is Kayla Sanders.. I explain to her what happened Her first response "sir unfortunately your order correct. I can not do anything." This restaurant has been here for a while so I had hoped the rush of it being new would have worn off but when I stopped in on a Wednesday late in to the lunch hour, I was surprised by the horrendous crowd. I had to park in some other businesses parking lot because the Chick-fil-A lot was 100% full and when I got into the restaurant I had to wait in a rather long line. Then I had to wait quite a while for my to-go order. I noticed they added customer descriptions to the receipts of to-go orders so the staff could locate them. I got something like tall, tan long-sleeve sweater, glasses". Food was typical - I like Chick-fil-A and find their chicken very tasty. This was no exception. 4 stars for the chicken/fries (love the fries) but 2 stars for the fact that this was not "fast" food for me at all. Unless this restaurant becomes a bit less popular I don't see myself returning, even though it's super convenient for me in terms of location. Place was clean and tidy, staff was polite and professional. My cashier was cheerful and friendly and I appreciated that. read more

It's fast food. It's a chain. Neither are my usual go-to. I prefer to support a small business owner or a restaurateur, but sometimes life calls for fast food. This Chick-fil-A location is clean. The employees are especially nice and courteous. There is an employee welcoming people when they enter and thanking them when they leave. That same employee is cleaning tables. Talking to customers at their tables. Offering to get patrons free refills. Pre-bussing tables. Tidying up the condiment bar which was spotless and well-stocked. The food was fresh and hot. It didn't disappoint. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the bud vases of fresh flowers on the table and in the bathroom. A nice touch. All of these details add up. We try to stay away from fast food, in general. The other night, I was craving a chicken sandwich, inexplicably. Chick-fil-A does make a great one. We detoured on the way home to stop at this location. The service is extremely friendly. We were greeted upon entering, and the phrase, "my pleasure" was used freely by the staff, especially the manager. When you thank them for taking care of you, they respond with that magical phrase. How refreshing! I ordered a peach shake to capture the last flavors of summer. It was packed with real bits of peach, and lots of them! DH chose the wrap, knowing he would take half home. I ended up having it for lunch the next day. Quite tasty. The main dining room features a soaring ceiling, a warm color scheme, and a variety of seating options. Every other fast-food chain (Wendys, McD's, Jack, etc) will cook their chicken well done at your request, but at Chick-fil-a, they refuse, saying "we don't do that here"!! Seriously?? Second, you want a refill of soda or ice tea? You gotta wait in line to ASK for a refill, 'cause there's NO refill soda or ice tea station anywhere in the lobby like all the other fast-food chains! Why are they so sloooooowww at this location compared to Westlake? The drive-thru lines are long and slow moving. Then when you finally get to the window they have you pull aside in this confusing waiting area where cars are all over the place. As long as it takes to get to the window, the food should be ready when you get there! If you try to avoid the drive-thru line by going inside, orders take just as long even though it's empty inside! I went to lunch there today after my Dr.'s appointment in T.O. The service was warm and friendly. The first employee met at the entrance and took my order. He knew all about the new salads that Chick-fil-A had been advertising. He promptly took my order and told me who I would talk to next. Another employee was in the drive-thru line for the money. A third employee was in the drive through line at the window where you get your food. She handed me my foods d checked to ensure I got the correct order. When one's biggest issue is that the wedge fries were too large to dip into the ketchup, hey, that's pretty good. In this category, it's certainly one of the best around. It's fast / proficient. After you order, the staff brings out your order, brings you more ketchup or sauces, refills your drinks -- that's more than a fast food experience. Military discount honored if in uniform and during veterans day ( that's what we been told anyways) Busy place... even though it's busy, and the drive thru seems ridiculous busy, they do their best to keep people calm and organized. I've seen the employees at the Oxnard location stop drivers in the parking lot to allow someone backup. At the thousand oaks location they also did a great job to keep courteous to fellow drivers, I was asked to follow another driver, while merging, pretty cool. I also like how the order taker is outside to get a jump on the food order, so it's ready when I pull up. My favorites here: the tangy lemonade, its refreshing with a sour puck. The South West spicy chicken salad is my all time favorite. I love the romaine lettuce, spicy sunflower seeds (pepitas) are flavored with chili lime, Monterey jack cheese, poblano chili's, roasted corn and tortillas chips, such a great combination! And we enjoy the chicken sandwich because you get to change it up to what kind of mood your in, such as tangy Asian, spicy buffalo and my favorite their chick fil A sauce is bomb. I like their potato waffle fries, because their large and thick. As for dessert, I don't usually order dessert at a fast food joint, but this is one place that I get upset at my self if I forget to order the warm gooey chocolate chip cookie. They always serve it warm in individual wrapper and the chocolate melts in your mouth and sometimes in your hand. Paid for the meal at 9:52am. Didn't received the meal up until 10:19am. Upon on arriving the guy helping me out was super rude and surprisingly very unwelcoming. Chick fil a used to be the most consistent in food quality and service of all fast food around. Now I get better service at the gas station down the street. This location is particularly awful. Every time I order in the drive through, there are multiple issues, from missing sauce, forgetting my juice completely, and wrong items. Today, the person taking my order didn't ask whether I wanted a breakfast bowl or burrito (#4), just assumed burrito. I didn't realize both options were under #4, so you would think he would ask right, not just assume? On top of that, he shorted me change when I paid cash, I had to ask him for the dollar he forgot. At the window, the woman handed me our order with the burrito, I looked in (always have to look to see what is missing or wrong), saw the burrito and told her this wasn't ours. She repacked with a bowl (which was barely warm), no apology, I was nice and said thank you so much. The issue was I felt that they turned their backs on their loyal customer base during Lent by not having fish available. This is a portion copied and pasted of his email response. "The fact of the matter is, this sandwich, because it is fish, requires per Chick-fil-A recipe that a fryer be dedicated to producing this sandwich the entire 6 weeks it is sold. Unfortunately, we don't have an extra fryer to dedicate to it! Some areas of the country, as well as some lower sales volume Chick-fil-As do have more ability to dedicate equipment for this limited time item however, no one in our immediate area had the ability to do so." So they are unable to cook fish and chicken in the same fryer. I agree! Who wants fishy chicken? He also stated that they will consider getting a dedicated fryer to offer the Lentan Fish Sandwich for next year (2020). I hope they do. I would never question the chicken. This location of Chick-Fil-A is the busiest! They need to remedy all the jackasses that bypass going around to get into the drive thru. I've almost gotten hit by a driver who was trying to beat me into the drive through, but I stared a b*tch down! The staff here is pretty cool. Generally, they provide a good service. I've only had a couple of issues here & considering the frequency of how often I pick good up for my husband here, that's not too bad. I do have to point out that on our way to an event in the Valley, we picked up food & my sister who is a serious vegetarian ordered a veggie wrap & there were bits of chicken in it, which later made her sick. They failed to provide us with the extra fries my husband ordered, & instead gave us 2 of the same kind of sandwiches... Yeah, that was weird. I've loved Chick Fil A since high school and was really glad when they started expanding. I always get the regular sandwich combo and a few packets of the chick fil a sauce. I like this restaurant because it has plenty of parking and the indoor play area for the kids. Not to mention the changing tables that are in the bathrooms. The food here is as good as you would expect from Chick-fil-A. Always fresh and always delicious. However....they have forgotten to put my chicken sandwich in the bag at least 7 or 8 times. No exaggeration, it's actually a joke with the family now. Every time we go through the drive through, we say "Any chance the sandwich is in there?", and usually it isn't. The drink and the fries are there, and it's on the receipt, but not in the bag. I'm starting to think it's personal!
