I can't think of anything more boring than writing a review about a basket of fried fish, or fried shrimp or even fried okra, unless it is French fries. French fries are especially boring. Well, anything battered and deep fried is actually pretty boring. Greasy, tasty but actually boring. But I still eat it. And I still regret eating it. Somehow when you put gravy on something deep fried, we have a different discussion. Boring goes to delightful! What was the topic again? Oh! Chick O' Fish A large restaurant chain scattered across the south. Never heard of it until I ran across reviews for the Tulsa location. The restaurant is favored by gourmands. The servings enormous and greasy. The three-piece fish / three-piece shrimp meal exceeded the count of three. No one should complain about the amount of food. A pile of battered and deep-fried aquatic creatures, heaped atop a fair amount of fried okra. I ordered the slaw, to accomplish my goal of eating a serving of vegetables every week. The slaw is very good. Nothing was exceptional. The fish filets, more like fish cigars were fair. The shrimp. There was something about the shrimp. Maybe not fresh, maybe the seasoning. Something... I just don't know. I was hoping that I would not have to deal with gastronomical distress tomorrow. Not a problem, I have a digestive system that a buzzard would envy. An uneventful passage. The restaurant is clean the service is friendly. Order at the counter, pay for a numbered card. Fill your drink cup, attach the number to the top of the paper towel holder and wait. The food arrives soon with a basket of sauces. I couldn't find one out of the bunch that I liked. The restaurant has good reviews and I respect the rating reviewers have given. It just didn't tickle my taste buds.

Sunday 7/6/2025. Went thru drive thru. A bit slow, but it was lunchtime and they were busy. Got 3 fish and 6 shrimp with 2 oyster add-ons. Total just over $20. OMG.... very good. I WILL BE BACK! There is a reason they were so busy

This place is kicking ass and taking names. Had been wanting to try it and was glad I stopped in. I had the Friday special three fish three chicken strips for 1450 with two sides. Very generous portions (actually gave me four pieces of fish instead of three). contrary to another reviewer, I thought the frying was done well and not too greasy. There's a sign outside that says all food cooked to order, and you can tell. My chicken and fish were hot and scrumptious. The basket of dipping sauces, including a spicy tartar and comeback sauce are complimented by malt vinegar and Louisiana hot sauce on the table, which is perfect on the catfish along with a squeeze of lemon in my opinion. Another thing that surprise me was the hush puppies. They were more like a mix of corn poppers, and hush puppies as kernels of sweet corn could be found a traditional hush puppy. The service is great and no nonsense. I'll be back!

Chick O' Fish is similar to Angie's Fish and Wings except better and newer. You won't be able to find whole fried catfish at many places, Chick O' Fish is one of them. This bone-in item is one irresistible delicious treat that you will have to put in some work (lots of fish bones). It was really fresh, probably the most fresh piece of fried catfish you'll be able to find at a fast food diner. I also loved the fried shrimp. Again, jumbo size and very fresh. Wishing the fried okra were whole okra but they were okra slices. They were good. Green beans were okay as a side. I would recommend something else instead. The worker at the counter was very pleasant. She looked like she wanted to be there and not someone who was forced to be there against their will. I initially wanted to give 4 stars because 2 whole catfish entree + drink + tips was around $20, which was more than my expected budget. BUT 4 lives (2 young catfish and 2 old shrimps) were lost for the life of one (me dying from starvation). SO you can't put a price on that.

After all the hype I just HAD to try Chick o' Fish! The place is pretty nice, clean, and well lit. There are two main dining areas. One has a music theme with 45s on the wall. The other is a local sports theme. Staff was courteous, friendly, and attentive. My order was ready in about 10-15 minutes. I got the #14, grilled tilapia with red beans n' rice and hush puppies. The grilled tilapia was nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. Red beans n' rice were good and the hush puppies were warm and crispy. My order came with two bonus grilled shrimp which were also pretty tasty. Overall, a good experience for a reasonable price.

Stopped in with my daughter and it was a wonderful dining experience! They specialize in fish, chicken, and shrimp, which you can get grilled for a little more, if you're in the mood for something lighter or healthier. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the fish was fresh and flavorful. The sides were also worth mentioning--classic red beans and rice, crispy fried okra, and creamy coleslaw. Each side paired really well with the seafood, giving a well-rounded, satisfying meal. The service was excellent, even though it's a serve-at-the-counter establishment. The staff behind the counter were quick, friendly, and eager to help with recommendations. They offer different sauces, so you can customize your meal just the way you like it. For a casual spot with top-tier service and food, this place is a gem! If you're craving seafood with great sides and the flexibility to add your own sauce, this is the spot to visit.

Chick O' Fish has amazing fried fish, shrimp everything else. We don't mind to drive half an hour just to grab a bite! Fish are fresh, crunchy on the outside, batter not too thick, juicy on the inside. I tried other eateries where the batter of the shrimp was so thick that it reduced the balance of the taste of the shrimp. Often overcooked. Not here. Very tasty shrimp. The hardest part is to know when to stop eating. It's pretty addicted. Their crab cakes are one of my favorites, balanced seasonings, great texture and generous portions. I like than better than most of the "hi-end" restaurants'. The place is well maintained, clean, even the washrooms. Folks who work there are very nice and really care. A lot of people would do take out as well, so there might be 20+ minutes of wait time. We've been here a couple of times already and we couldn't think of any other southern fried food joint better than them. Highly recommended!

This is a pretty okay spot to stop for a quick meal. I tried the Philly cheesesteak and it was pretty cheesy and had a decent amount of meat. They have seasoned fries as well. They have a drive through in which it did not take long to get my food.

The spring rolls were tasty too, though a little on the smaller side. The star of the visit, though, was the Saigon coffee. It's Vietnamese-style coffee made with espresso and sugar, and wow! It was STRONG. Highly recommend if you're a coffee lover. Service was great. The cashier was super sweet. I also ordered 3 homemade spring rolls ($2.50 each) and really enjoyed how fresh they were. The peanut sauce isn't creamy like I'm used to, but with the chili sauce on top, I was satisfied. Bread is made fresh each day, and, even each hour as I waited 15 minutes for a baguette (worth it!) Thrilled to have this location close and want to try one of every drink on the menu. If they add avocado smoothies to the mix, I may just go every day. Enjoy!

I was deciding between MisFits & another location so I texted a friend to make the final decision. Long story short, she chose MisFits & we met around 1pm. From what I've been recommended, my/our experience was pretty aligned with what I had heard. Random summer Thursday. Perfect for a good lunch. I was familiar with where MisFits was but never walked inside. Considering that other downtown locations either are on a one-way street, are in busier areas or have less parking availability, the location is relatively convenient. I parked right in front of the restaurant & entered an enamoring space. The entrance leads into a hallway with the host toward the end. Once past the "host hall," the interior is 80% modern, 20% retro. Filled with booths, clear lanes and a good mix of seating options. The lighting is perfectly balanced with large windows for natural light to be let in with other fixtures filling the gaps. We sat in the large "L" shaped booth & our server was with us almost immediately (there were only 2 other tables sat at the time). Of all the menus I've observed, MisFits may have the most efficient offerings ever. There's not tons of variety but it didn't feel limited either. Classic American Favorites, Only. While our server was wrapping up with the other 2 tables, I reluctantly decided on the 1/2 Sandwich (The Wifey) 1/2 Soup (Rotisserie Chicken Tortilla Soup) with Sweet Potato Fries while my friend ordered the B.B. Burger & normal fries. The food came out relatively quickly, less than 10mins after placing the order. The chicken sandwich was good but I was more surprised at how hearty & flavorful the soup was! It made me want to order a full order of nachos. My friend stated that her burger was good except the bacon was thicker & chewier than she would have liked (but she's picky). We conversed for another 20-30mins afterwards but I think we were both satisfied with our meals. Overall, I believe that MisFits has almost the perfect name: it's located downtown but still seems to be one of the more underrated restaurants in the district. If you want above-average American food & don't want to pay above average prices, this is the place to go. I'd be happy to revisit in the evening to see the full luminary experience.

The food quality was excellent, and the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. One of the most unique parts of the visit was learning that the person seated at the table next to us was the previous owner.
