We went to the Chicken and the Farm kiosk at the Campbell Oktoberfest event. We got the waffle fries with pork which were really good. The service, however, took a long time to deliver the food and the price was a bit high for just fries and a bit of pork. It was just a food stand so no ambiance to complain about :)

Early warning 2/5, details below. The are a Walnut Creek Food truck. They set up a booth at a street fair in Manteca. Couple of issues with these guys but I'll start out with the good. Good: -Perfectly crisp seasoned waffle fries. -good portion size. -Flavorful "farm" and BBQ Sauces Bad: -deceptive pricing -terribly dry and tough pulled pork -inconsistent cook on the chicken tenders. -messed up my order Their menu showed a specific price for their Full Farm Fries which comes with their pork, chicken tenders, fries, farm and bbq sauce. I had added the crispy onions. When my order came there were no crispy onions. In regards to the deceptive pricing, the menu listed the fries at $18. I realized just as I paid that the charge was for over $23. Considering tax that's still WAY over what the cost listed was. I don't know if they do an automatic tip or service charge or something but that's ridiculous and deceptive. I didn't look into their reviews as to why they are a 2 but that would be a good reason to me. As for the fries, as I said they were perfect. Where they fall short is the cook of their proteins. The chicken was inconsistent. Like part of the tender was extremely dry and over cooked. As for the pork it was so dry and tough. Factoring all of these things in this makes them a 2/5 for me.

Visited the stand at the Lafayette Art & Wine festival. Amazing!! We tried last year but after finally getting up to order they were sold out of most things. Not this year! We arrived early to beat the heat and the food smells were drawing us closer. We shared Lobster rolls and fried Brussels sprouts. Very good all around! The lobster was simply dressed on a buttered bun. The Brussels were great with a garlic aioli sauce on top that I would buy by the bottle. This place is great! If you see em at the next event don't miss it!

I was excited to try them out at the oktoberfest in Walnut Creek. The set up and display of all the items was very impressive. Ordered a chicken sandwhich and the chicken was soo dry and I could not chew through it. Chicken tenders had the same problem. The only decent tasting item was the ranch. No kids menu here. If you see their food truck and get tempted like I did, please save your money and try something else.

They hide an 18% (yes you read that right) fee. It was not published anywhere in view. Or easily seen, told , etc They hide it well. This place is unethical. Chicken sand which was half burnt but could tell it was a good flavor on in burnt half Loaded fries were good - had three chicken stripes I get "fair food" and trucks are pricey but to hide an 18% fee is being a crook!

Overpriced terrible food. We ate at their food truck at the Dublin St Patricks Day festival. Hog ($21 + 18% automatic gratuity = $24.78) - Pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, aioli, and onions. The meat was cold and didn't have much flavor, all you could taste was the coleslaw. 1/5 Lucky Lad Loaded Fries (Special around $21-23 + 18% automatic gratuity) - This was fries with corned beef and Parmesan garlic. It was sooo disgusting. The corned beef was in long thin strands like spaghetti that made it hard to eat and not taste good. The garlic was so strong that it felt like it burned my tongue and was all I could taste. 1 day later and my whole mouth still tastes like garlic I can't get rid of it even after brushing my teeth multiple times. 0/5

Did not get the food I ordered. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Rip off. I should've looked at the other reviews first because people don't like this company.

Anytime I see this place is going to be somewhere I go out of my way to eat there. I've had the lobster roll and the fried chicken sandwich multiple times over and it's always crazy good. The owners are great people too. My elderly Mom tripped outside their booth at the Lafayette Arts and Wine festival and Lindsay came out and got her a chair in the shade. Brought her a water and she expedited our food and brought it out herself. True act of kindness that I'll never forget. The food speaks for itself though. It's the longest line at the festival every year it's been there hands down.

Cold fries, the oil was clearly old and burned. Long line. Real bad. $50 wasted. Don't recommend.

Love to have a new local spot available. However, it's quite simply overpriced and underwhelming.

It is definitely on the pricier side, which is really the only thing that held it back for me. Don't get me wrong, the Genova's in the big (little) Dub Cee does what it can to keep up and turns out some pretty decent sandwiches. It has all the trademark imported knickknacks (biscotti, multicolored taffy in well-worn bins, boxed panettone, etc.) as well as traditional staples like wine, fresh pasta and the famed Genova's brand boxed frozen ravioli for you to take home and spoil your family with in a variety of flavors like artichoke, mushroom and even pumpkin. But it lacks soul. It lacks spirit. It doesn't have any of the flavor that the Genova's in Oakland had and each sandwich churned out is indicative of that. It's just not that good. And for a sandwich you have to wait a mighty long time for, it better be good. Real good. So, I've come to terms with the fact that I don't have a Genova's left to go to and that's okay. Sometimes it's better to have loved and lost (a sandwich) than never to have loved at all.

Fortunately, the food inside lives up to the '80's music. This place is a little Eastern-European treasure chest. The meat selection alone is worth the trip: excellent veal sausages, proper kabanosy (both American-made and the legit European imports), and enough smoked and cured options to make you reconsider every bland sandwich you've ever eaten. Then there's the sweets. Not just a few shelves: an impressively deep lineup of Eastern European treats, both loose and packaged. The kind where you walk in thinking you'll grab one thing and leave with three mysterious chocolates and something wrapped in gold foil. It's also my most reliable solution for a sudden Żywiec beer craving. And if that's not the mood, there's always a jar of pickled mushrooms waiting patiently. In short: a small, charming deli that punches way above its size... and yes, I still sing the Kate Bush song every single time I go.

This time, though, I wanted to try something different, so I went with the chicken and mushroom filling. It was also very tasty. One thing I really like is that they focus more on the filling, and the bread is not too thick. It always has that slightly greasy goodness in the best way. So yummy. As much as I enjoyed the food, my interaction with the woman working there this time was not great. When I arrived, she was unpacking a box. She saw me but did not greet me or ask if I was ready to order. I stood there awkwardly for a few minutes before she finally asked. It would have been nice to be acknowledged right away. I ordered two different fillings, and when she was packing them, I asked if she could please label them so I would know which one was which. She responded by saying, "I wasn't going to make you guess." I did not find that very friendly. In fact, I thought it was borderline rude. I still really enjoyed the food, but that interaction took away from the overall experience a little bit. I wish the customer service had been a bit warmer.
