Tried this place today at the Boogie Fest in Campbell. Although they had a table filled with the samples of their dishes, they were deceptive in their pricing. I had read while waiting in the slow moving line to order the yelp reviews and thought people were silly talking abojt being decepted into paying higher prices. I was sadly mistaken when I got to the counter to order after over half an hour and saw the tiniest sign saying they automatically charge an 18% service charge. I feel they were INCREDIBLY MISLEADING and agree with others that it's deceptive. Food was nothing to write home about. The wings were probably the best thing. Ordered the salad. It came undressed and without dressing and had to go back to ask them for a side of dressing which took a little of time too since I was ignored when I approached the people working. Salad sucked. They also advertise homemade ranch but I think the only homemade thing about it is blending a hidden ranch valley packet. Wings were not too bad and were crispy and served hot. We were at Berry Fest in Woodland and crossed paths with this business. I ordered six of their signature Dirty Bird Wings, but only got five wings as the sixth was actually a tender. Not sure how that happened, but no biggie. The wings had a nice flavor blending both sweet and savory. If anything, I wish the wings would have been a bit more crisp to them. But they were still good. And the tender they snuck in place for the sixth wing was pretty decent. read more

Went to this stand at the Campbell boogie event and it was super disappointing. Took an hour to order + receive our food. Service was slow and unhelpful. They have an 18% service charge fee in small writing you have to look for when you get to the front. Got the waffle fries, wings, and salad. Everything was fine, not great but not inedible. Early warning 2/5, details below. The are a Walnut Creek Food truck. They set up a booth at a street fair in Manteca. Couple of issues with these guys but I'll start out with the good. Good: -Perfectly crisp seasoned waffle fries. -good portion size. -Flavorful "farm" and BBQ Sauces Bad: -deceptive pricing -terribly dry and tough pulled pork -inconsistent cook on the chicken tenders. -messed up my order Their menu showed a specific price for their Full Farm Fries which comes with their pork, chicken tenders, fries, farm and bbq sauce. I had added the crispy onions. When my order came there were no crispy onions. In regards to the deceptive pricing, the menu listed the fries at $18. I realized just as I paid that the charge was for over $23. Considering tax that's still WAY over what the cost listed was. I don't know if they do an automatic tip or service charge or something but that's ridiculous and deceptive. I didn't look into their reviews as to why they are a 2 but that would be a good reason to me. As for the fries, as I said they were perfect. Where they fall short is the cook of their proteins. The chicken was inconsistent. Like part of the tender was extremely dry and over cooked. As for the pork it was so dry and tough. Visited the stand at the Lafayette Art & Wine festival. Amazing!! We tried last year but after finally getting up to order they were sold out of most things. Not this year! We arrived early to beat the heat and the food smells were drawing us closer. We shared Lobster rolls and fried Brussels sprouts. Very good all around! The lobster was simply dressed on a buttered bun. The Brussels were great with a garlic aioli sauce on top that I would buy by the bottle. This place is great! The meat was cold and didn't have much flavor, all you could taste was the coleslaw. 1/5 Lucky Lad Loaded Fries (Special around $21-23 + 18% automatic gratuity) - This was fries with corned beef and Parmesan garlic. It was sooo disgusting. The corned beef was in long thin strands like spaghetti that made it hard to eat and not taste good. The garlic was so strong that it felt like it burned my tongue and was all I could taste. 1 day later and my whole mouth still tastes like garlic I can't get rid of it even after brushing my teeth multiple times. 0/5 read more

Anytime I see this place is going to be somewhere I go out of my way to eat there. I've had the lobster roll and the fried chicken sandwich multiple times over and it's always crazy good. The owners are great people too. My elderly Mom tripped outside their booth at the Lafayette Arts and Wine festival and Lindsay came out and got her a chair in the shade. Brought her a water and she expedited our food and brought it out herself. True act of kindness that I'll never forget. The food speaks for itself though. It's the longest line at the festival every year it's been there hands down. read more

On my way out of the festival I looked at the menu and the posted price for this item was $14. So double?! That's ridiculous. 48 hour seasoned buttermilk marinade- doesn't that sound like the chicken would be so flavorful and juicy? Reading that and seeing their display of choices made us decide to take a leap of faith and try them instead of roaming to see what other food vendors were at the Los Altos Arts & Wine Festival this weekend. We ordered the 2 piece farmhouse tenders with ranch, plain waffle fries, hot hen sandwich and 6 piece wings (dirty birdy). The total came out to be over $100 because taxes AND 18% automatic service fees. I don't know why 18% when it's literally like take out, there's no waiting on tables or cleaning up that they need to do. But we chalked it up to it being an experience at the festival and hoped the chicken would be good. Our number was called fairly quickly. I cut up the tenders for the kiddos but they took a bite and spit it out. It was soooo dry and bland!!! No wonder. They also forgot our ranch so my husband went to ask and they gave him attitude because there's a charge for extra sauce but he just wanted the sauce we already paid for but didn't receive! Even with the ranch, this was such a disappointment. I tried the hot hen and the buns weren't even toasted, it was cold to the touch. I hate when buns aren't warmed... The chicken was slathered in a tangy hot sauce but it was still so dry and bland inside. The wings were at least edible but I would've wanted it crispier bc the skin was soggy in some areas. The fries were the only things my kids would eat, they're truly plain and unseasoned despite the orange color. Just a bad experience overall- service, food and the vibe of the two taking orders. Ordered a lobster roll at the Petaluma fair today. prices are not posted anywhere and my guy reached for his wallet and paid for it before we realized that it was $42. For a sandwich. It's fine we're enjoying the fair, it's a full meal that comes with coleslaw, potato chips, and brown butter sauce on the lobster roll. We asked for a side of their "special sauce" which is like 1000 island without the relish. We wait a good 20 minutes . As we are waiting I watch a man walk away With his chicken strips order he says I paid $22 and I got one strip. I watched the chef with his hand bring over another chicken strip and toss it on the top of his fries. .....when the lobster roll appears it is a couple pieces of lobster on a piece of bread with a small cup of sauce on the side. When I said "hey it says on the menu that this comes with coleslaw and chips" the person who served it to me says "it doesn't come with that if you get sauce". So I just paid $42 for a piece of bread with a couple pieces of lobster on it? They threw me a small bag of chips. I started to walk away and realized there was no butter sauce on the roll as well. I go back to the girl at the register and she explains to me that because I asked for sauce on the side that they didn't put the butter on it and because I got the "sauce" version it doesn't come with anything that it states on the menu. They give me two sauce cups full of cole slaw. It's about two tablespoons in each cup. I started to explain that $42 is an insane amount of money to charge for a piece of bread with a couple of pieces of lobster on it, at this point my guy is telling me that we should be asking for our money back. She explains to me the reason that it's so high is that they charge 18% gratuity (without telling you) as you are paying for your food that they haven't even served you yet. I let them know in not so nice words that this was unacceptable. This is really shady way to get money out of customers and to run a business. Everything looked so enticing. I tried the Tuscan Hen sandwich. The chicken was a small flat piece, overcooked and dry. The sandwich was to come with a number of ingredients but only had arugula. The bread was thick and dry. The sandwich was very bready and bland. A family member tried the chicken and waffle fries. It was only 3pm and they had run out of waffle fries. They substituted with regular fries. The chicken was a small piece, overcooked and dry. The wait was way too long. The cooks appeared overwhelmed and disorganized. A buzzer is given to customers but were not working. The cooks were yelling out check #'s from the receipts. Not only did they have an amazing set up, but the staff and who I assumed were the owners, were so friendly! We wanted to try everything because it looked and smelled so good. Underwhelming and Overpriced. We ordered a lobster roll at the festival last weekend, in Ripon and was expecting for it to be amazing for the $32 price and on top of that they added 18% gratuity. I had already promised my son the sandwich so it is what it is. Not only did I pay close to $42 for a lobster roll with a bag of chips but I waited almost 25 minutes when she said 10 minutes. Yes, you have a beautiful set up but the 18% is insane, your prices are already high for the food quality, everyone has overhead and your prices reflect that. THEN you look at the cooks fixing the food and they are eating self serve ice cream while trying to make a salad with bare hands. They put the salad down and put on gloves. After putting something on the salad they start to eat that off someone's salad. Then he takes off his glove and eats more ice cream and starts licking his fingers. Several are eating ice cream, even the cashier. The cashier not eating has a drink on the counter. People start taking photos and naming off health code violations!!! I ask for my money back and the cashier is still eating. Only one food worker is actually getting food orders ready. He's obviously the only one not on drugs. Brett(?) is running the show for lunch today by himself, who is truly passionate and takes great pride in his ingredients and quality, which I really admire. I appreciate him taking time to explain his fresh & best ingredients used as he manages in the kitchen as well. It's this attention to detail--like the sesame seeds and scallion garnish sprinkles, or the quality napkins provided--that elevates the food to a high-end restaurant quality while keeping it reasonably priced. I would definitely return and support this local small business. The Hot Hen sandwich is deliciously messy in the best way, and I really enjoyed the truffle oil and aioli wings, rather than dirty lemon--the batter and seasoning are spot on! Perhaps simplifying the menu & sauce choices a bit could help maintain consistency? Ordered a bucket of wings and the pulled pork fries for dinner tonight. Everything was absolutely delicious! We had the food delivered and it arrived quickly and hot. Plus, the wings were still crispy! Honestly, I did not have high expectations for this place, but my husband was craving fried chicken so we gave it a try. I'm really glad that we did! My son said that the waffle fries were the best he's ever eaten. I think the wings were the best I've ever had. They were meaty and not at all oily. We got the buffalo and blue cheese wings. I was straved and in a hurry and looking for a market. I saw the food truck with 3 people sitting outside, and no line. I thought I would make a quick order and pickup and get on to some fairly urgent business. I waited ten minutes to place my order, then after I paid the server told me that it would be 15 minutes. So I said ok, I'll go to ACE Hardward and come back. I came back 15 minutes later and waited enought 20 minutes and my order was still not ready. I thought the server called my number so went to the window, and she said no, that she was still working on my order. I told the server that if she had told me that orders would take 30+ minutes then I would have not placed order and moved on. I was bummed, late for meeting, and starved with no food at home. The server did offer to refund me which I accepted. As I drove home I found myself very irritated about my time being wasted. Time is our most important commodity. The yelp site states that meals are $20-$30$, mine was $32 for sandwich, fries and drink. I rarely go out to eat, this was to be a treat...I won't go back.
