Never heard of this eatery until Sunday 4/26/26! Our hungry stomachs saw the signage of this store and we were curious. This location is the first on Long Island and they have been here a little over a year. Mark, the gentleman behind the counter was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions about the chicken seasonings and other Korean dishes on the menu. We ordered Korean wings and drumsticks with soy garlic and Korean BBQ sauce. The meals come with crunchy Coleslaw or Pickled Radish. We opted to get both! We also got an order of seasoned fries on the side. We raced home and sat down to have our meal. This food did not disappoint!! We were throughly satisfied with each fresh, flavorful bite after another. Now that I've been awoken from my slumber...apparently this chain has gone viral, I am looking forward to returning and trying more signature dishes. If you're still sleeping on this place...you need to WAKE UP! And give them a visit. Thank me later....

Subject: Customer Driven Away by Unhinged and Aggressive Management…read more I never thought I'd write this about one of my favorite chicken spots, but after tonight, I will never return. What began as poor service has escalated into a serious safety concern due to a specific female manager's extreme unprofessionalism. For two Fridays in a row, I've dealt with her blatant disrespect and bad attitude. Tonight, after she caught yet another attitude during my phone order she also cut me off and slammed the phone down before i finished talking, I attempted to address the issue in person. Instead of a professional apology, I was met with verbal abuse. She didn't just provide bad service--she became unhinged. She told me i should know how to order food... she cursed at me, multiple times and told me my "life is miserable," and physically chased me to the door while screaming at me. I was already at my car door and she was still screaming at me. As a frequent customer, I have never felt so disrespected or unsafe. No one should be subjected to this level of aggression getting take-out. This individual is a massive liability to the business and has no place in a management role. I'm done with Pudgies.

Besides not having several menu items and being told we'd have to call a day early the food we DID receive was bland and overcooked. But all of that would have been fine, I mean it is just a small fast food style chicken place, if not for what happened next. They have several items and things on the menu which are pretty straightforward named "Mac and cheese bites", ect. So she ordered the "cheddar and broccoli" bites. Something one would assume, like everything else listed, it's name implies what it is. Unfortunately when my vegetarian wife bit in she was upset to find bacon. It was disappointing but not the end of the world of not a little frustrating that they didn't list it. So we called back to request a refund or some kind of remedy as this is the kind of mess up that can REALLY get someone sick or hurt someone. But instead of apologies and remedies? She was told "we don't do refunds... You should have told us beforehand that you can't eat bacon"... On an item that shouldn't have bacon if not listed?!? So after she refused to give any refunds or do anything she also refused to give us any numbers or speak to a manager or anything. So I conclusion the food is horrible, the place is dirty, the employees are sitting around on their phones and then the attitude and lack of ANY attempt at customer service is beyond unacceptable. As someone who's been in the culinary industry for over 20 years this is unacceptable food, practices and service... To say I won't be coming back after my overwhelming excitement I had BEFORE walking in would be a gross understatement....

Everything tasted pretty good but in my opinion the star of the meal was the chicken marsala. If something was running out on the table the staff would ask if we wanted more and readily replenish. I was very impressed with the service. I believe the cake was brought by a family member. This restaurant has a giant bar in between the cafe and pizzeria. It is decorated nicely and very clean. They did a great job and help make Margie's 50th birthday a very nice occasion. Thank you. I would recommend this restaurant for future parties.

(Colonel Sanders never obtained a military rank, just his honorary title) I'm sure you've seen the television commercials, that KFC sandwich looks like fire! What was served to me today is good but nowhere near battle ready for deployment to the troops. Let's break down the successful formula for any chicken sandwich. Chicken - of course. But you'll need a plump, juicy breast to decimate any enemies. KFC does have a nice breast, very juicy. Where's the KFC crunch? Is that still in development? My sandwich did not have any crunchy skin to smote thy enemies. Bun - meh. They need to send the bakers to basic training. The competition is using better buns, this wasn't anything special. My sandwich did have pickles and Mayo to Jazz it up but this Scud chicken missile isn't up to doing serious damage. Here's my chicken list: PDQ (honey butter wins every time) Shake Shack Tie for 3rd Popeyes & Chick-fil-A Then all the remaining fast food places with their version of a chicken sandwich. KFC - put some crunch on your sandwich and you'll have a chicken sandwich capable of putting serious hurt on the sandwich playing field.

Prior to arrival, we went on-line to preview their menu and saw many packaged meal arrangements. We parked and entered Popeye's with an idea of what we wanted. We expected to spend about $25-$30 for two people. The staff were friendly, polite and greeted us. The menu was diverse and offered the main entries with combo or side dishes. All seemed to come with a soft drink and I explained that I can't drink soda and inquired if they could substitute the soft drink for another item of equal value - I wasn't looking for something for free. I was informed that that was the meal arrangement and staff couldn't make substitutions and none were available. Why should I have to pay for something I can't eat. Thus, we were disappointed. The staff were knowledgeable and patient and made suggestions but nothing we could benefit from. We knew what we wanted. It seemed everything else was separate and though seemingly not expensive quickly added up. Again, having wanted to spend no more than about $30 for two people, to get what we wanted- no substitutions were available- ended up costing us about $63 with tax, double what our expectations were. Having returned home, we ate our packages and side orders. The chicken and sides were tasty but nothing that would set aside Popeye's as a cut above other local fast food chicken establishments nearby. We're aware of current global economics and the consequences upon fast food franchises competing to stay solvent. In short, we were dissatisfied with our order based upon the higher unexpected price and that we had to pay for soda that we don't consume. We won't be returning and will return to pizza or hamburger establishments or other fast cuisine take-out places. Suggestions: 1. where customers are unable to eat certain items, offer or substitute. Customers shouldn't be penalized because they don't like or can't eat something. This may not be allowable pursuant to corporate policy- nonetheless. 2. Consider questioning corporate and seeking alternatives and pricing more compatible with other local establishments, some of which offer the same food (chicken) and are reasonably priced.
