I was informed that that was the meal arrangement and staff couldn't make substitutions and none were available. Why should I have to pay for something I can't eat. Thus, we were disappointed. The staff were knowledgeable and patient and made suggestions but nothing we could benefit from. We knew what we wanted. It seemed everything else was separate and though seemingly not expensive quickly added up. Again, having wanted to spend no more than about $30 for two people, to get what we wanted- no substitutions were available- ended up costing us about $63 with tax, double what our expectations were. Having returned home, we ate our packages and side orders. The chicken and sides were tasty but nothing that would set aside Popeye's as a cut above other local fast food chicken establishments nearby. We're aware of current global economics and the consequences upon fast food franchises competing to stay solvent.
