Sandwich sampler, I forgot to take picture of the egg salad. It comes with 1/2 egg salad, pimento cheese, and chicken salad.

We loved all the food, we tried the sandwich sampler, hot chicken sandwich, and salad. It was great getting to see Jamie there. The service was quick and so friendly. There was ample seating out side and great ambiance. I would highly recommend trying it for a quick lunch stop.

Stopped in here after the St Patrick's day parade. The service was fast and friendly. I did not have to wait for our food. It was ready immediately. The chicken was delicious, but I especially loved the mashed potatoes.

Thanks Jamie and nice girl (sorry I can't remember your name) at the register. You're a cool dude man. The chicken box you came up with is a huge hit man. Your family is awesome bro. I've never had collard greens as good as the Deens'. Peace and blessings

Really friendly service and great food at a reasonable price! Really loved the honey mustard too.

The most amazing chicken tender box with cheesy garlic biscuits that melt in your mouth and hot honey sauce

Great food service, very helpful when ordering my friends and I stumbled upon this place after a hangover morning and it was exactly what we needed! Also groovy chill music outside and fun area to people watch. Outside not to crowded at all!

Sitting along the river while watching massive cargo ships slowly make their way toward the Atlantic creates one of those uniquely Savannah experiences you simply can't find anywhere else. Our server, Matthew, was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made the evening even more enjoyable. Service like his is a big part of what turns a great meal into an unforgettable one. Now, the food... The crab cake was one of the best I've ever had--easily 95% lump crab with barely any filler. Just fresh, sweet crab prepared perfectly. The beef carpaccio was elegant, incredibly flavorful, and disappeared far too quickly. Then came the French onion soup. There's a reason the National Onion Association recognized it as the best. Rich, deeply caramelized, perfectly balanced, and topped with a blanket of bubbling cheese. Without question, the best French onion soup I've ever had. The black truffle scallops were buttery, tender, and absolutely decadent. The evening's special--a blackened filet paired with shrimp linguine--was phenomenal. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp linguine brought bold Cajun flavors that made us feel like we had been transported straight to Louisiana. To finish it all off, watching enormous cargo ships leave the Port of Savannah bound for destinations around the world while enjoying an incredible meal is an experience all its own. Vic's on the River delivered on every level: exceptional food, first-class service, and an atmosphere that's impossible to duplicate. This wasn't just another dinner--it was one of the highlights of our trip to Savannah. Don't leave without ordering the French onion soup. And if you're lucky enough to have Matthew as your server, you're in for a memorable evening.

We were seated in a corner near the bathrooms, and when I asked if we could have a table with a river view, I was told they had all been requested already. Nothing on the menu really stood out to me, so I ordered a wedge salad and a glass of wine. My husband had the French onion soup and a Caesar salad. The complimentary biscuits were definitely the highlight of the meal. They were warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The food itself was good, and the service was perfectly fine, but nothing about the experience felt memorable or special. Overall, it was just a middle-of-the-road dining experience. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it or return.

And it was the chicken was cooked to order, came out super hot, and was both crispy and juicy. The greens were super flavorful and needed no added spices. I'm not a big cornbread guy but took a couple bites anyway. The jalapeños weren't over powering and offset the sweetness a little. My server was amazing!!! She greeted me as soon as I walked with lively smile and great attitude. At first I was confused if it was fast casual or full service as they takeout section is in the center of the restaurant. She explained that you can do both, so opted to stay for lunch. I wish I could recall name, because she is worth requesting.

Looking back, we probably should've kept right on walking. We ordered the fried chicken, potato wedges, red rice, New Orleans rice, and cabbage, jalapeno cornbread and pecan cornbread. Unfortunately, the only things we actually enjoyed were the fried chicken and the potato wedges. Once again, it was an epic fail. The cabbage tasted like it had been boiled in plain water with absolutely no seasoning. Both the red rice and the New Orleans rice reminded us of Minute Rice or Uncle Ben's microwavable rice--bland, lacking flavor, and nothing like the rich, seasoned rice dishes we were expecting. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the potato wedges were cooked perfectly, but those two items weren't enough to save the meal. We came hoping for authentic Southern comfort food, but left disappointed. Sadly, this is one restaurant we won't be adding to our list of places to revisit.

While we found almost everything delicious, I felt the Pasta Jambalaya was just okay, not bad, but it didn't quite reach the high standard of the other dishes. During our visit, we ordered: - Fried Chicken Benedict (poached eggs, buttermilk-soaked chicken tenders, English muffin, black pepper bacon hollandaise) - Cheryl's Fried Green Tomatoes (golden fried and remoulade) - Pasta Jambalaya (shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage, linguini and creole sauce - Shrimp and Grits (shrimp and savory Cajun sauce served over Parmesan grits) - Parmesan Garlic Grits ( These were so delicious I could have enjoyed them as a standalone dish) - Bacon - Beignets (French Style Doughnuts with Praline Sauce) these were some of the best beignets I have tasted)

The Barbecue Shrimp came in a spicy sauce loaded with flavor. It came with a piece of bread that was perfect for dipping into the sauce to sop it up. There were a good number of shrimp in the serving. The Crab Cake Sandwich was good. It was not as full of lump crab meat as other crab cakes that we've had elsewhere. The Catfish Fingers were large pieces of catfish that were lightly fried. The Shrimp Poboy was satisfying. The Parmesan Garlic Grits were disappointing. There was no hint of garlic or parmesan flavor. Our server tried to rectify the situation by adding cheddar cheese to it. Fortunately, the Beignets were as good as we expected. Huey's is the only place outside of New Orleans where we have found authentic New Orleans beignets. Our server Jenelle was very friendly. At some point, something frazzled her because she seemed flustered and rattled by the time we were ready to leave. We had asked her for silverware for our beignets. It took her so long that my partner got up to get some from another table themselves because we were tired of waiting. When I asked for the check, she gave me the wrong check. She went in the back to fix it and had my debit card. She came back without the card to ask me for my zip code to finish the transaction. We asked her to bring the POS terminal to our table so that we could finish the payment.
