My favorite chicken sandwich place!! With everything being so expensive lately, I feel like it's so worth it. The waffle fries are so good and crispy and hot. The house sauce is perfect as a dip for the fries and the burger too. Their macaroni salad also is so good. I love how there are two choices of meat which can be chicken breast or thighs. I went to Chicken Bun Bun at potentially their most challenging time, which as 12:30pm on Sunday (also the day of the nearby Alhambra Farmers Market). I got the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and a drink, and it must have taken 30 minutes for them to get the food out. However, there were only 3 guys in the store and they were working as fast as they could, I so definitely am willing to cut them a break on that. Walked in here on a Friday afternoon, just in search of a quick bite. I didn't know what to expect as I've mostly eaten spicy chicken sandwiches from Popeye's which I enjoy. Ordered #1 Chicken sandwich, dark meat, fries, and a coke. Ranch was $0.50 extra but totally worth it. The bread on the sandwich was like a Hawaiian bread, very fluffy. Best fried chicken place in Alhambra. I've tried Howlin ray, Dave's hot chicken, Bonchon, Running chicks etc. and none compares to Chicken bun bun's quality. Their chicken is evenly fried that the skin is crispy and flaky. Their spicy chicken sandwich is the best. The bun isn't too soft or soggy. The sauce is spicy but it's just the right amount for me (if you can't take spicy, I recommend you try the none spicy one). This place is also clean and cozy. A nice place to hang out with family or friends. They open until 10pm... ugh losing weight is going to be tough v-v Almost forgot one thing, I'm picky with fries but their fries deserve 10 out of 10. And the slaw that comes is creamy instead of a vinaigrette type of slaw. It all comes together greatly. The Jasmine Milk Green Tea, I was craving boba so I order this. I love when management clearly takes customer feedback into consideration and it doesn't just go in one ear and out the other. The sandwiches are really good, but the customer service sucks! The lady at he counter has limited communication skills and got my order wrong and not only was it wrong it was undercooked. I walked there that day and didn't realize the mistake until I returned to work. The young lady was apologetic and told me to return the next day then called back stating no should bring the food back today. Well I was already back at work.
