I've been going to Chicken Kitchen for years (even back when it was Star Kitchen in South Miami by Sunset Place). Most Chicken Kitchen's are quick and efficient but this one is absolutely the worst one. Every single time you call to place an order for delivery, they say its going to take an hour and a half. What is that!? Today I decided to give them another shot. It was 2 pm and before I gave them my order I asked how long delivery will take. The guy on the phone said "Well we're inbetween delivery shifts. The next delivery man will be here at 5." That's 3 hours from now!?!? Thats totally absurd. Worst customer service ever! My family and I frequent this location simply because it is so close to home. Tonight was the last time I'll be spending my hard earned money at this location...& ironically, I didn't even get to eat here! At 8:17, my husband and I approached the door and were shocked when we discovered it was locked. The store hours read 11-9pm on the door. There were 2 other customers inside and 2 employees who rudely brushed us off as we waved and motioned for an explanation. The woman employee glared and then simply smirked while she continued to assist the other customers who were ordering at the counter. The gentleman looked at us and then quickly turned away. Great costumer service! Easy to call and place an order for delivery. Chicken kitchen in Miracle Mile has never disappointed, their cashier are respectful and professionals. I have experience some mistakes in the past, but I remain silent, and within 20 min or so I had received my delivery they showed up again to my step door. With the right order! I just ordered pick up from this location for the first time and I'm incredibly disappointed. I ordered a Cuban chop chop and another chop chop with chicken and steamed broccoli. I should've known better because when I asked about the steamed broccoli the guy said they had one serving left (which already made me skeptical). I ordered it anyhow and I'm now home with the food after a five minute drive and the food is already cold. When I looked at the broccoli I noticed that it was brown and 100% raw-it is not cooked at all. Also one of our sauces was open when they put it in the bag and therefore spilled all over everything. I immediately called to ask for a credit, and the person on the phone just kept telling me they didn't know what they could do. I asked to speak to a manager and they said that they were the closing manager and I said, "OK if you're the manager then can you please just give me a store credit." Finally after some wait they were able to refund a portion of that meal back onto my card although I feel they should have refunded me my entire meal. The guy on the phone also insinuated that I was lying and said he was looking at the broccoli and that it was cooked-I find this hard to believe since he told me that my broccoli was the last serving. I told him I could send him a picture but the broccoli I had in my hand which I had also tasted was completely raw. To top it off they didn't even give me my pita bread (my favorite part). After learning of our 8 hour flight delay, we made the trip from the airport to the Miracle Mile in Miami. Starving, hot, and tired with kids we ended up walking into the Chicken Kitchen. The worker there was really helpful and friendly. He gave us generous portions of food. The food was excellent and the kids were more than happy to eat here especially when they really wanted to go to the Panera down the street. The worst part is when I take my first spoonful, the tomatoe smells spoiled and the chicken is still pink and cold. the worst chicken kitchen & / or restaurant in the world! i think i've said it all. i've owned a business in the gables for 18 years. i order from here often. although i order the exact same thing everytime, its never the same. there seems to be an issue with the amount of chicken you order. its like if you we're ordering gold. i always order "extra" chicken so that i know that at least i will get a decent amount of chicken everytime and even with that at times is only a few cubes of chicken. the same goes with the curry sauce. they serve it to you in a really big plastic container but its only filled 1/4 of the size so you have to order 4 to really get one. let me not even talk about the pita bread, i'll skip this for the sake that yelp doesnt think im making this up. finally my bigest peeve is with the delivery service... horrrreeennnddouuuus! the delivery times differ every day depending if the driver is not lost, quit, is sick or they have any that came into work that day. what i mean by delivery time is not the amount of time they take to deliver (this has been ok) but the time of day you call to request your food delivered. you may call one day at noon and they deliver and the next day you may call at the same time and they say delivery is either not available today or delivery has already been cut off (when theres not even that many people that go to the restaurant). i really hope chicken kitchen the corporation would look into this and try to correct these issues for the sake of their name brand. i apologize and i never write any complaints but this is ridiculous and people should know about it and hopefully something will get done. thank you. read more
