It was oily and had a strange taste and was overwhelmingly sweet. (You'll find that burnt is a common theme.) My Cajun burger was good but the buns were burned. The meat was juicy and had a nice flavour. The fries were seasoned well and were crispy while being soft on the inside. The pork ribs were decent. The sauce was nice. They weren't fall of the bone tender, but still tender enough. The coleslaw on the side was very sour and spicy. It was more like spicy sauerkraut rather than coleslaw. The seafood boil was underwhelming small especially for the price. The shrimp were overcooked. The clams were very small. The muscles still had beards. The potatoes and corn were cooked nicely. It needed more salt and sauce. The sweet teas came unsweetened and while it did came with sugar on the side - the grains were too big to actually stir in. And I would like the mentioned that my cup of water had black specks floating around in it. All in all - I wouldn't return.

Service was slow. Incredibly slow. They also messed up the dinner of one person in our party. The manager did remove the dinner for that guest, which was the right thing to do. With that, the manager was condescending when he came to our table when we were giving him feedback on our evening. I would rate the customer service recovery at a 1 out of 5. Other than the one plate that wasn't cooked to what was specified, the other food we had was actually quite good. It was the slow service and condescending attitude from the manager than had a negative impact on our evening. Sadly, I won't be back to Clinkerdagger when I'm in the area. The 3.8/5 rating they currently have is a little bit more than they deserve.
