Fancy Nancy on toasted wheat w/ broccoli salad
    Nicole H.

First timers getting CSC! My husband got the Fancy Nancy BLT sandwich on toasted wheat (very good & filling) he choose the broccoli salad as a side & we highly recommend! I got the dixie chick on classic salad with ranch & it was delish!

We heard that Chicken Salad Chick is opening two restaurants in Richmond, Virginia, so we decided to eat here for lunch since it was founded in Auburn. The food is amazing. The atmosphere feels very much like eating in your family room or kitchen. I didn't think I would like chicken salad, but I can't wait to go back.

Can never go wrong grabbing this for lunch or dinner, a go to in my book! The grape salad is by far the greatest side item I've ever had.

I will never eat here again. I got food poisoning from the sassy scotty chicken salad and was sick as a dog all day.

Point-of-Sale Tipping: Yes Price for Two: Approximately $40, including a point-of-sale tip Delivery: Food is brought to your table when ready. Condiment Bar: No Food: Really good overall. We had two three-piece chicken plates--one OG and one Spicy. The OG chicken was noticeably crispier. Our sides included rice, fries, pickles, and coleslaw. Everything was good, but the fresh pickles provided an especially nice contrast to the chicken, rice, and fries. The coleslaw had a pleasant sesame oil flavor, though, as with any creamy coleslaw, it's a bit of a roll of the dice, so I didn't eat much of it. The ranch served with the chicken seemed to be homemade--the thinner, more flavorful style rather than a thick bottled dressing. I was also curious to try some of the other sauces and dressings on the menu. Beverages: Coke products, plus some of the best proprietary teas I've had at a counter-service restaurant. The Sweet Almond Peach Tea was outstanding. Special Touches: Pickles served as a garnish and chopsticks available on the table. Portions: What you'd expect from a higher-end counter-service restaurant--filling enough to leave you satisfied, but not overly stuffed. Spice Level: The Spicy chicken had a noticeable kick but was still on the milder side in terms of heat. Service: Friendly, approachable, and efficient. Clean-Up: Leave dishes on the table for staff to clear. Parking: Shared with neighboring restaurants but plentiful. It can be a little convoluted to access from the main road.

It was the perfect consistency to add flavor, while not making it soggy or covered in a thick sauce. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good this delivered meal.

Also came with a huge wedge of cake. The chicken was very flavorful and fried well. The green beans were tasty as well. I wasn't a fan of the cake..a bit dry. A quintessential…read moremeat-and-three in the Auburn area, Pannie-George's definitely gives patrons a truly southern experience. I've been to hundreds of these local eateries all over the Southeast and will offer my honest opinion. In true Lower Alabama fashion, the fried chicken batter is thin and crispy (not thick and crunchy), the mac 'n' cheese is runny but cheesy, and the pork chops are soaked in gravy. It's delicious comfort food for the after-church crowd pouring in on a Sunday, or customers looking for an affordable bite to eat on a weekday. There are some downsides that prevented my rating from mirroring the stratospheric and glowing reviews on user-driven platforms like Yelp. While the batter is wonderful, the chicken is dry. The rice is uneventful. And the mac 'n' cheese was a little runnier than I prefer but wonderfully flavorful nonetheless. The choices for bread were stale Hawaiian rolls or homemade cornbread. For dessert, the lemon pie is quite delicious. And the experience is authentic and enjoyable. I recommend Pannie-George's for a simple, hearty meal.
