Had to ask for cracker for the chicken salad I did purchase and got 5 packages and had to ask for more. No condiments for the turkey club. Just fork and salt and pepper. Really? Cook/prep staff had to be asked multiple times for what chicken salad was available and didn't seem pleased to be asked to prepare ours. While this was a good stop in the past it is now on the "never stop" list that I keep. There was no ambiance, only a need for me to leave so they could close. I just went back for another quick meal and decided to dine in this time. I ordered the Maui sandwich after being told it was a sweet and spicy combination, which is right up my alley! I definitely tasted more spicy than sweet, but wow... it was absolutely DELICIOUS. No exaggeration, it may be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and that croissant was buttery, flaky perfection. My budget is probably not going to appreciate how often I may be coming back. read more

I stopped by this location recently to redeem my free birthday scoop. As a rewards club member, you earn points to later redeem for free items and on your birthday, you receive a free scoop or sandwich with a side of your choice. On this warm winter Saturday, the restaurant was not crowded. The staff greeted me upon entering and explained the redemption process. I like the ambiance of CSC's restaurants as they remind me of a cute little quaint cafe you may see in Paris or New York. I ordered the Dixie Chick which is a regular chicken salad with onions. It reminds me of the closest thing to my mom's chicken salad recipe. My side was the pasta salad. I also redeemed a free side from my point balance. I chose the fresh fruit cup. I purchased a small container of the Dixie Chick chicken salad to eat on another day as well. I took my meal to go and enjoyed it later that afternoon for an early dinner. I don't come here enough. It is definitely a better choice than other fast food places that's full of greasy, fried food. Making better choices is definitely the way to go in 2026 and CSC helps in this area. I leave very few reviews but even though I will never be back here I thought maybe I could keep someone else from making a terrible mistake by going here. To start off the girl at the register was not friendly but I could overlook that if the rest of the experience was not so bad. I ordered a turkey club sandwich. There was NO turkey on it. AT ALL. It was supposed to be toasted but tasted more stale than toasted. It had a small, thin piece of cheese, a small amount of very undercooked bacon, some small tomato slices that were anemic looking and that was it. No mayo or dressing of any kind and the NO TURKEY was the kicker. On a turkey club. Oh yeah, it did have a LARGE amount of curly lettuce on it. I started to take it back up there but I make it a rule not to do that as I'm not eating food once it's gone back. I didn't look around much but I did notice as I was leaving that the door was absolutely filthy, like it had not been cleaned in years. A disappointing experience to say the least. read more

I have eaten at Chicken Salad Chick since it opened. The selection is amazing, I can never make up my mind even though I think Fancy Nancy is my favorite. Their staff in the drive thru and inside are always friendly and courteous. They are fast so if I'm in a hurry they have things out quickly. Since I'm mainly a drive-thru customer it's hard to say how it is inside all the time, but every time it's been clean and conducive to a pleasant meal! My hubs and I love CSC. The point system is great to earn rewards. 9/10 we always have a great experience. They always accommodate my nut allergy with the grape salad which is so nice. I don't recommend going before closing. It's not always the freshest but overall it's great! I recommend the sassy Scotty on wheat toasted. read more

I have gone to Chicken Salad Chick since it began. I enjoy their chicken salads. However, I am done with them after today. Actually, I was done with them after our last few incidents where the catering we ordered at work was not delivered on time. That was about 8 months ago. When we called about it, they didn't really seem to care. When they finally brought it to us late, it was missing alot of what we ordered. So I had to call back. Their staff is very lacking in decorum. I did speak with a manager later that apologized and delivered the food to us. However, it was brought about 1 hour and half after the initial order was supposed to have arrived and didn't. Our meeting had been over already and everyone had to eat what they could from the first delivery. Even though that happened, I still went to the store and ordered personally until I got tired of dealing with their staff that just doesn't seem to care about you and act bothered to see you. The Homewood restaurant is as slow as Christmas. Their prices also went sky high. So I voiced my issues to them directly. So after 8 months I decided to give it another try today. Places can change and fix their issues. Today the same thing happens and the line takes a while because only one person is taking orders. On the menu, I noticed a photo displayed of a special showing the strawberry pecan salad (in what appears to be a 7 inch round bowl) with a dilly-icious chicken salad scoop , crackers and a pickle. It also shows strawberry lemonade in a glass in the photo. No price listed. I asked if that was a combo deal and was told yes. I ordered it and was asked what dressing i wanted (not IF I wanted dressing). I chose lemon poppyseed. Then she asked IF I wanted a drink. So. it apparently does not come with a drink. Ok, fine... misleading but whatever. I also ordered a slice of pie as well. When I receive my order, I am given a tiny side salad that is about the size of the palm of my hand. I go back and ask the girl about it, pointing at the photo and explaining that I ordered the combo and she said "yes, sorry that is the size." You could tell by her face that she must get asked that often because it's no where near the size shown in the photo they advertise with. I checked back at the photo and it does not say "side salad" in the photo anywhere. I leave and get back to my office only to realize that there is no pie in the box. I check my receipt and thankfully wasn't charged for it. But I do learn that I was charged for the dressing! They charge you an extra $1 for dressing that goes on your salad because it apparently also doesn't come with dressing!!! I know every restaurant is sizing down their food containers and charging us more. But this is a whole other level of small and charging for dressing. I think it's tacky. And it seems they have not fixed any of their issues either. Thankfully, God has blessed me and I can spend whatever I need to for food. And I don't mind paying a reasonable amount for good food. But with CSC, we have passed that point. So I will respond as needed and I won't be going back. read more

As a person who went to Auburn before certain franchises became franchises, I am pretty critical. Chicken Salad Chick is one of those. The first time I ate it outside of the small space on Opelika road back in 2004, I was not very impressed. Maybe it's nostalgia. Maybe it wasn't a great experience. Maybe it is to hype of expectation. But any of those reasons aren't fair. So since I was a couple of years removed from that first out of the loveliest village on the plains experience, I was ready to go in with an open mind. On this Wednesday, we were looking for an early dinner that was quick, in Homewood and good for our twin two year olds. CSC fit the bill for us. My wife and I got the two scoop meal and we got our kids each the kids scoop meal. Theirs came with one scoop and a side. And ours came with more crackers than you could hope for. Everyone's came with a CSC cookie. I went with the Dixie Chick and the Buffalo Barclay. Very different scoops. But both were delicious. The Dixie Chick boasted onions. But as an onion fan, it didn't have a ton until I smelled my breath later (sorry if that is TMI). They were both fantastic. As for everyone else: All plates were cleaned beside the packaged crackers and cookies. Including previously mentioned twin two-year-olds. Great meal in my opinion. And even if it isn't the original decade+ experience I remember, it was a perfect meal for us on this night. read more

Chicken Salad Chick in Soho Square is just the perfect place for lunch in Homewood. It's not fast food, but it's one of the few places in this area where you can get good food in a casual environment. No wait staff and you can get a good meal for about $10-12. It's still some of the best chicken salad I've ever had, and they have so many flavors to choose from. I like the spicier ones with bacon with my favorite being the Sassy Scotty. They also have fruity and nutty versions of chicken salad too. You are almost guaranteed to find one you like! Unless you're maybe a vegetarian.....they have great sides! read more

Arrived @4:00. Waited on a computer to start up. Ordered a small chicken salad and pimento cheese. About 7-10 minutes later I finally get my order. I went @11:30 and line was almost to the door. Can't imagine how long it takes at lunch. Plenty of workers so no short staffing excuse. Even told the manager I had Been waiting awhile. He didn't say a thing. I really love the jalapeño holly so I will order ahead next time. And I did see them taking dukes boxes to dumpster at lunch. I love Dukes! read more

I love the traditional flavor with pickles and eggs. Another favorite is the chicken salad with bacon and cheese in it. Sounds weird, but I promise it is so good! If you are iffy about chicken salad, I recommend coming here and trying out the different flavors. They usually allow samples to try but I am not sure if they are still doing that with COVID. The chicken salad is filling and you will always get a pickle and cookie with any plate! If you sign up with their rewards program you will get a free plate for your birthday month and also points add up fast to redeem for different menu items. As far as COVID protocols, employees are wearing gloves and mask. They have a table in front of the counter to allow for social distancing through employees and customers. Well the food isn't bad but the way the food is served strongly resembles airplane food. The cashier was super nice, and the story behind the chicken salad based restaurant was definitely intriguing. When you first walk in, there is a strong mayonnaise waft that washes over you. Not necessarily a bad thing, if you're into that. Dining in, I couldn't really see anyone under 30. I also wished that the plastic silverware they gave me included a knife. Factoring in the food presentation, the plastic fork, the atmosphere, and the smell, it wasn't spectacular.
