I love this place but I am getting tired of the inconsistency with their chicken salad. I ordered a fruity Fran sandwich which has apple, pineapple and grapes. I got 1 grape and 1 piece of pineapple-no apples in the entire sandwich. My friend ordered the same thing and had the same results, but she at least had one piece of apple. They really need some quality control on their chicken salad to ensure customers get what the ordered. If I wanted plain chicken salad I would order it. It's okay, really it is! Looking for a quick lunch this is the place. The dining area is cute and the staff was friendly. I order TAKEOUT: Chicken Salad BLT on wheatberry toast and a extra dessert, chocolate chip rice crispy treat. The meal comes with a soft buttercream cookie that should satisfy the average sweet tooth. Love the chicken salad, and especially Lauren's Lemon Basil! I also love the online order app. I am happy this place exists and enjoy lunch there. The only reason for the 3 stars is the size of the scoop of chicken salad varies. Sometimes I would need to order 3 scoops to equal one, and I don't usually eat much for lunch. Other times it is great. Standardizing this would be helpful so someone knows what they are going to get. Also, I'd love to have the option of adding an extra pickle on the app. The past 3 times I have politely requested one in the comment box (there are 2) they have failed to include it. I offered to pay extra at the counter, and they said it should be fine, yet I can't seem to get it with my order. I don't think anyone reads the comment boxes on the online orders. And at my last visit, the scan code was missing from the receipt on my bag so I couldn't scan it with my app to get credit for points. Others had the scan code visible so I know they are still doing them. And in addition, my butter cookie which I also look forward to was missing from this order. We wasn't offered any samples nor did we see any signage indicating to try it 1st.For sides I had the Mac and Cheese Diana had potato soup. Soft drinks come at extra charge 2 bucks each for Regular size Basically 25% of the total charge that kinda stung a little. The Chicken salad was ok but too smooth and with little taste to speak of I prefer mine chunky with a little more Mayo some celery to add some crunch served with pickle so that help some it was light and refreshing to have something not from a grill, mac and cheese was good but such a little portion, the cheese blended well with the elbows and tasted good. I had tried their alliance location a couple of times before at the urging of some co workers. I liked the chicken salads that I had picked, but I wasn't THRILLED about them. I just didn't see the big deal. Which sounds sad. I tried several kinds and i thought they were ok. Chicken Salad Chick wasn't a place I thought about going often after the 2 times I went and wasn't wow'd. I did LOVE LOVE the grape salad. OMG. That grape salad was so good. Fast forward a few months, a new location in Hurst opens up by my house. A friend of mine told me to try a diff. sandwich and see what i thought. I got the Chicken Salad BLT. i have changed my mind. I ordered the Fancy Nancy on wheat with a cup of their Artichoke Florentine with Chicken soup. The soup was DELICIOUS! I'd return for that soup alone. I've been here a handful of times, I've tried the bacon , saracha, and the basil. The saracha and basil wer very good, my husband and I order both and split the sandwiches so we both get one half of the other flavor. This place gets rather busy but we have always been able to find a table, being chicken salad and in Hurst of all places they definitely have an older population that goes, I would say their main demographic is senior citizen women. Of course this varies but I actually like it better because I know when I bring my young children in no one will care of I have to nurse the baby or if my tot needs to go for a little walk around the restaurant the women have all "been there, done that" and it's really nice to know I'm not bothering anyone. Dropped in for an early lunch today and really liked this new restaurant. Casual counter service but very quick & friendly - they deliver the food to your table. I had The Chick $7.90 with the Classic Carol chicken salad on Wheatberry bread. I had a side of the broccoli salad and added on another scoop of Cranberry Kelli for $2. I took half home because the quantity for $10 was enough for 2 meals if you're a moderate eater. The classic Carol was great if you prefer a finely shredded chicken salad. I prefer a chunkier salad and will try another next time that might have a bigger chopped vegetable in it. But the bread was good and nicely grilled. Veggies on sandwich fresh. Pickle on the side. The broccoli salad was great, lightly dressed & crisp. The extra scoop of the Cranberrry Kelli was tasty too, I liked the addition of the crunchy elements. They provided crackers on the side. I'll definitely be back to try other things. Good variety of chicken salads along with egg salad, pimento salad, soups, fruit, salads, and sandwiches. They also have a deli case of takeout containers of their salads. So glad to have an alternative to the fried chicken and burger places in the area. My first and final experience with the Hurst, TX location was sub-par. I did an online/pickup order and when I got home, realized they left off one of my side items. When I called to request a refund for that missing item, the manager said they could make a note in the system so I could get a free side on my next visit. I informed the manager that I wouldn't be back and was simply requesting a refund. I have not received a refund as of yet. I was disappointed in my BLT, as it turned out they were out of tomatoes and there was only one thin slice of see through bacon that didn't come close to covering the entire sandwich. BTW... they don't charge you less when they use less bacon and no tomatoes. I'm also disappointed that the menu isn't as easy as it should be to read and the staff isn't trained well on how to answer questions about it. Sandwich menu comes with "choice of sides, soup or a scoop..". Tried to ask multiple times what a "scoop" was, and by the time we were leaving we were still not sure. She simply pointed to a picture, rolled her eyes at me and was irritated that I couldn't infer their menu as well as someone who worked there. So we drive all the way back (had made it home with the wrong order) and they gave us a TINY tub of what we wanted. This is not what we paid for! And they couldn't even make it right!!!!! We love to go to chicken salad chick. We love the chicken salads that they have to offer. They make a great snack or even a great dinner. The menu has several different flavors. We love to get the Olivia's old South, the Barbecue, the Kickin Kaylynn, and the Sassy Scotty. There is not a location near me in Arlington, so we drive to Hurst area to pick this up. We were driving way out to West Fort Worth, however once they opened this location in Hurst we've been coming here ever since. Its very well worth the drive at least once or twice a month because we really love the chicken salad. I have a friend whose family loves it as well and we take turns picking up some for each. The lobby is very nice and clean it seats quite a few people. The staff is very nice if you have not been to this establishment, I do recommend that you go! read more

It was my first time to try this place and it wasn't too bad, but I don't think I'll visit again. We had a small "Barbie-Q" and "Jalapeño Holly", both were okay. I'm not a fan of spicy foods, but I did taste a bit of the Holly. It did have a kick, but I felt it was a bit bland. Actually, let me change that, the Q was very good. I couldn't help feeling as if I was eating a regular chicken salad w/ a hint of liquid smoke and a few other spices. If you have ever cooked anything with liquid smoke, the taste would step up and slap you in the face. Ha! When looking at the ingredients it did have some things that give it a taste of Q, but the liquid smoke gave it that "kickin' it up a notch" taste. It would be a bit of a letdown if liquid smoke is their "secret seasoning", I'd love something that is a bit more authentic. We also picked up a slice of their blueberry cheesecake, it was very good, but the slice was very small. Since we only paid two dollars for it, it wasn't a bother. Overall, I don't think I'd visit again, but I am happy I gave them a try. If in that area I may think about stopping by, other than that, I'm not really interested. read more

I LOVE this place! Lauryn's Lemon Basil is definitely my favorite selection of chicken salad here, always accompanied by a side of fruit, pickle and crackers. I am thrilled to finally have a lunch selection that isn't loaded with 5lbs of meat, overrun with cheese or served as a ton of food that mostly goes to waste because I can't eat it all. This place offers a wonderful selection of chicken salad flavors. If you are hungry you can always order more than one scoop or a sandwich accompanied by mac and cheese, a cup of soup, fruit, etc. Sometimes the place gets pretty busy and it's hard to find table. Most of the time I get mine to go because there is a location only a few blocks from where I work. The only thing I would probably change is the logo. Chicken salad isn't gender specific! I was only able to eat half and decided to bring the other half to my mom and ordered her some potato soup l. The food here is really good. Some of the best chicken salad I've ever had. I got a Chicken Salad BLT on a smallish croissant and that was one delicious sandwich! And the pickle on the side was the best-tasting pickle I have ever had at any restaurant. For a side, I got a fresh fruit cup and it was ACTUALLY FRESH - though almost entirely grapes with one or two strawberries. The decor and ambiance, down to froufrou names of dishes on the menu, is unabashedly, joyously feminine. I got a chuckle at how out of place and uncomfortable a few of the husbands in the place looked. Like, "What am I doing here?" Ordering at the counter is a little complex. We waited more than 5 minutes to order, with just one person ahead of us in line - the person puzzling her way through the menu options. Basically, all or most of the menu items include chicken salad - but you have to choose which kind of chicken salad from a rather extensive list. It's an impressive variety. In the minus column, there were a lot of dirty tables while we were there, despite the place not being particularly busy - someone was falling down on the job. Also, this restaurant is a bit spendy. For just three people ordering two sandwiches, a salad, three drinks and two sides (a fruit cup is the cheapest side at almost $3), we paid just under $40. And the sandwiches, though excellent, were on the small side - mine didn't fill me up, though my younger daughter's was enough for her.
