I love chicken salad, so what's not to like about a place that offers 15 varieties of the classic lunch staple? You can choose to have it atop a leaf salad or in a sandwich. I tend to want to stick to basics with chicken salad, but I went slightly more exciting with "Olivia's Old South". It adds a barely noticeable touch of pickles and eggs to the classic base. It was excellent. Maybe next time I will venture a little further away from the norm. I also tried the chicken tortilla soup. It was good, but not great. I am, self-admittedly, a harsh critic of soups. Another thing I am a harsh critic of is cookies, and I loved the sugar cookie with butter cream frosting. A small sample size cookie was thrown in with our to-go order, a nice touch for sure. They also sell a larger option at the registers. It's soft and sweet, which surprises you because at first glance, in its individually wrapped state, you would expect it to be more hard and bland. Also a nice surprise is the creaminess of the frosting. It was smart, on their part, to offer the free sample size because I'll definitely order one next time. All in all, this is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and I highly recommend trying it. read more

First time strolling in and I was starving. Great time to try it. Loved that they had samples cause I wanted one of everything in this hungry state. I settled with the platter where you could pick two, and a cup of soup. Yummy. I went with loaded potato soup and it did not disappoint, it had lots of cheese and bacon and was delicious. I also tried the egg salad, and it was great. They had a curry chicken salad and I love flavor and spice so gave it a try. What a great change to an already great salad. I'm not a huge chicken fan, period. I reluctantly went here with my wife, and all I can say is WOW! We are planning on lunch here again this week while we are in town! I love this restaurant. I go there all the time and enjoy sampling the freshest chicken salad before I make my selection for the day. They also have a super delicious pimento cheese spread which can be in along with the chicken salad or brought home to enjoy and sandwiches. I have a refrigerator with to go items so you can quickly pick up what you need. The only comment I have is that it's very difficult to find parking at peak times. Of the six staff zero are wearing masks no one prepping food even has a mask around their neck etc not wearing gloves either. Won't be back take health serious and this is very disappointing to see. I tried to ask for a refund and was refused, I live with a high risk person. Won't ever return and recommend no one do until they take the pandemic seriously. Called to place a take out was put on hold. I could hear everything going on in store. After 14 minutes I got to store expecting it to be busy. Walked in young girl was only one at counter wiping trays and no one in line. Asked to speak to manager. Waited he finally came out. Showed him I was still on hold and that their phone was off the hook somewhere in the store. He then yelled at me am I serious that I'm mad at him bc I'm on hold and no one came back. First off didn't realize it's ok for a manager to yell at a customer bc they aren't doing their job. Got district manager number called and while talking to her the young girl at register thought it was funny laughing and rolling her eyes. That shows how much this business has respect for their customers. I go there at least 2-3 times a month not anymore. Horrible service! read more

Food is good but don't waste your time with mobile or pick up orders as they are obviously not able to figure it out even with no line inside. All 5 people waiting in their cars came inside and still waited for 10 minutes while one of the employees just stood by the window behind the counter talking to his buddies in the back. Just plain great. The menu is a tad confusing but great food. Simply put, they have about 12 different chicken salad flavors. You can have any of them just plain or on bread(regular or toasted) (white or whole wheat) or a croissant. Different soups on different days. Sides are really good too. The best real brewed iced tea around. It's the best, every time. Service is great and quick. Great for lunch or a light dinner. We loved the "Cranberry Kelly" flavor on toasted white with fruit salad. Highly recommended. read more

Arrive right at the lunch rush but the line moves quickly and a table opened up just as we are ready to sit down. Plenty of choices of chicken salad and plenty of sides to choose from. I loved chicken salad chick over in Palm Harbor, so I was very excited to have one close to home.  I was most impressed by Palm Harbor location's customer service, however, I did not leave this location with the same feeling. When the cashier asking the young man in the back for a sample to provide me with, he in ear and eyeshot of myself replied "I guess.." with a rather poor attitude. When the cashier asked him to provide me with celery instead of crackers with my order, he now at the window just 6 feet away from my replied "Really..?" With again, a very poor attitude. I felt like a burden for being a customer! If it matters to you the energy and intentions of the individuals who prepares your food, you might want to go to another location. We tried our first CSC in Lexington, SC. It was amazing! We called it crack salad. Then we were transferred to Durham, NC and found one in Greensboro, NC and drove an hour for the chicken salad. We just moved to Tampa a week ago, yes, my husband gets transferred a lot, and accidentally found the one that opened 2 months ago. It is not more than 3 miles from our new house. I am jumping up and down! If you travel an hour just for Chicken Salad, it has to be good! read more

We had been meaning to try this place out since it opened. So I went on Sat night. I ordered 3 cups of potato soup and 2 large offerings of Fancy Nancy chicken salad ( two one pound containers) . I opened the chicken salad and discovered that the grapes were whole grapes and difficult to eat. I had never had chicken salad with whole grapes. It had very little apple in it and very little nuts. The soup was potato soup. It had somewhat of a spicy taste, which again, I had never had spicy potato soup. And the potatoes were not fully cooked. This cost me alittle over $34.00. After falling in love with the USF location, I was so excited to see a location open closer to home. The restaurant space is small, but comfortable and the location within the plaza is super easy to get in and out of. The food is the same great quality I've come to expect from Chicken Salad Chick. I sometimes have textural issues with meat but can say that in the 20+ times I've eaten their salads, I've never had any issues with gristle or other unpleasantness - just delicious, nutritious salads. I've mostly gotten takeout from this location and ordering is quick and easy. I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes before I'm on my way and set for a few days of delicious lunches. Chicken Salad Chick has a great loyalty program as well through their app. Points stack up quickly and the app provides push notifications of all sorts of deals and new flavors. If you are a fan of the Chick, you should really check out the app for deals, surprises and even free previews of new flavors. read more

I had a sudden craving for chicken salad and saw this place on yelp so I figured I would swing on in for a quick fix. I had no idea there was such a huge market for chicken salad...until I opened the door to this establishment. Granted it was noon on a weekday, but this place was packed! Most tables were taken and there was a line to place orders (but the line move quickly). As I approached the counter and explained I was a newbie the employee offered samples of the various chicken salad options. Thank goodness because this place has quite a variety of chicken salads. Although several of the tastings were good, I opted to stick with their original for my first experience. I choose to have it on a croissant and a side of pasta salad.
