Loved this place! They were very busy during the lunch hour but they hustled! And the girl taking my order answered all of my millions of questions about their menu. I got the regular chicken salad on wheat and then a scoop of the Nancy's Nutty salad. I couldn't really taste much of a difference but that could be good or bad depending on your preferences. For me, I was hoping it would be a little more flavorful since it wasn't the basic salad. It was still delicious though and we also liked the broccoli cheddar soup. I looked at the menu forever to decide what flavor I wanted, there are tons. Everything from Buffalo, to jalapeño to lemon basil. I decided on lemon basil. I opted to get it in sandwich form. He came around and refilled our drinks; his kindness radiated the room and you could tell he was so happy to be working! He also came around and gave all the kids stickers, he is one of the most amazing employees at any restaurant I've ever seen! My daughter and I came in to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately, they were out of croissants and the type of chicken salad that we wanted. However, we ordered something different and really enjoyed it. The onion one and the cranberry one are great mixed together. We also got the grape salad which was delicious and would be perfect mixed into the chicken salad. The small cookie they give is a nice little treat but very small, so I recommend going for the delicious chocolate marshmallow treats they have. Those are delicious! To me choices of food places that I would entertain returning to have to meet certain criteria. My rankings are not only based on taste but the establishment's ascetics. Like Chicken Salad met part of this by adorning their men's bathroom walls not with target suggestions but with inspirational marital themes! Add to this an imaginative menu (which three choices I have already tried) that also adds a seasonal taste specialty to try. I think the best moniker I could say about their offerings (to include soup and salad) it is Comfort food! Just like a Mom or Granny would have served you it fits that need! Service (though it has a fast food like ordering procedure) and cafe seating doesn't mean lackluster service as their workers were soooo nice. I was super excited to go to CSC since I hadn't been to one since moving. I placed an online order and the food was ready when I arrived which is great. The staff were kind of rushing me along and not very warm but I kind of let that go. My order was also completely incorrect. Though it was not what I ordered it was still good so I ate it but when you have a certain taste for something and that's not what you get it's a bit disappointing. It was thrown about with no real care which for those who read my reviews know that is important to me. I was also missing the little things that should've come along with it (pickle, tomato) to make a salad. The overall ambiance seemed pleasing and everyone who was seated were enjoying themselves quietly. Had it not for the service the wrong food wrong have easily been forgiven and 5 stars given but it left me unsettled. Not sure if I'll return to this one....... read more
