I didn't believe the reviews and what Facebook articles were saying. But I was totally wrong, this place sure have the best cheese steaks hands down. GREAT PRICES TOO! this is located behind the building that you see on the street, I got lost and had to call them. They are literally behind the building and have their own spot. Chicks deli has great subs and steaks and sandwiches has been that way for years a little hard to find but the effort is worth it . I don't care as much as I like to do to the hours they close early so if you work a little bit late, you can't get food but otherwise it's a great place. read more

If I had to describe what makes this sandwich great, it would have to be balance. These arent overloaded, too greasy, too bready, too salty, or too cheesy. Every bite is well constructed mixture of meat, veggies, cheese, and bread. The surprising part was it didnt need any condiments. Im so use to sandwiches needing them for moisture. Although it wasnt what I expected, it was everything I wish a cheese steak could be in my native hometown in Dallas (which will probably not happen). The location is literally behind the divorce center. If their sign blew away, you would have no idea that this was a restaurant. A gem hidden in south jersey. I never had an authentic Philly cheesesteak before and this is what I would imagine one would taste like. The meat is super juicy and tender and the bun is slight toasted enough but stiff soft for a nice bite. The only thing Is that the hours they operate can't satisfy a late night bite and I would recommend calling ahead to order because it does take a bit of time for them to make it. Hands down the best cheesesteak outside and possibly inside Philly. Starting with the bread, it's soft, not chewy, and is wide enough to support a good amount of meat. The meat is great. It's finely chopped and feel like it melts in you mouth. The ratio of meat to bread is perfect. I get American on mine. They use Cooper sharp American...enough said.
