We finally made our way to Chico Bueno and it did not disappoint. We stopped in on a Wednesday for lunch and were able to order quickly. The space is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating options. Loved the red and white color scheme. The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful. We ordered the Baja Fish and Bistec tacos and the Pineapple Tajin and Hibiscus Aguas. We loved how generous the portion of fish was on the Baja Fish, it was clearly made to order and so yummy! The Bistec was also delicious. We are so excited to comeback and try more of their tacos and offerings! Worth the visit!

Stopped by for lunch during work and had a great overall experience. The service was fast, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I'm excited to see this place continue to grow and develop. The fish taco was excellent and definitely my highlight! The steak taco was a little dry but adding some salsa made a big difference and it ended up being pretty good too. Instead of the typical chips and salsa, they served salsa with tostadas, which was a nice change! Overall, a solid lunch spot with quick service and tasty food. Looking forward to coming back and seeing how they continue to develop!

I stopped by early in the afternoon because I was looking for something light to take to go. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome. The first thing that caught my attention was the colorful painted walls, and I especially loved that the menu is hand-painted behind the register--it adds a lot of character to the space. I ordered two bistec tacos with no onions and asked for the salsa on the side (they serve Salsa roja, by the way). There were only three other occupied tables, so I didn't expect much of a wait. While my order was being prepared, I helped myself to a cup of water. Just as expected, my food came out quickly, and I was out the door with my order in no time. Things I loved: -price point (well thought out and good value) -laidback and causal vibe (very much come as you are) -friendly workers (everyone was warm and smiling) - the food! The tacos were unique in that the cheese was already melted on the bottom. I'd never had that before, but def want more of it. - Salsa Roja! For someone whose palate isn't that welcoming with spicy sauces, I tolerated it with ease. Needs improvement- - while I loved the tacos, they were also some of the toughest tasting soft tacos I've ever had. I couldn't figure out whether it was the tortilla, meat, or all three. All in all, a solid first visit and I'm excited to come back!

Great new taco spot in STL! They don't have a ton of parking, it's mainly paid street parking so just be prepared for that. They are counter serve where you order up front, get a number, and your food is brought out to you. Easy peasy! Service was quick, lots of folks for a random Tuesday lunch but not overly crowded! They have plenty of patio seating but it was wayyy too hot to sit outside today! I loved the chicken tinga taco. The flavor was amazing. The Baja fish taco was huge! Also delicious. My husband loved the crispy gringo taco and carnitas. Everything was so fresh! Next time we will have to try the esquites and agua frescas.

We stuck to fish tacos since it was a Friday during lent, but they did not disappoint. The margaritas & mad dog were very good as well and I would highly recommend! I like the idea of the QR codes to order at the tables. It felt like it made the process a bit faster, but it was still a hospitable environment. Everyone was very friendly and we felt taken care of. There was a short wait on a Friday at 6pm, but it was well worth it.

I prefer the quesadillas with some of the more unique flavors, especially since the price point is very reasonable and you get a fair portion of food. Service: very good. They have QR codes at each table that you can order and pay straight from your phone, which is very convenient and the food always comes out pretty quickly. The staff here is always so nice. Ambience: the majority of the eating area is outdoors in a heated tent. It's a nice vibe and lets you feel like you're sitting outside without actually having to be outside. Parking isn't too bad here, there's a small parking lot right behind the restaurant and then there is typically ample street parking. It can get quite busy at peak times, but they have a great pick up option as well.

It's been a few weeks since I had any pocket cash to go out to eat... so I decided to pick a food…read moresource at random for a Saturday afternoon, and I'm SO GLAD I did... You know how they say one of the best things about Mexico is the food? I have to admit, I would honestly wouldn't know and just have to trust the stories I've heard, as I've never been lucky enough to go to Mexico.... But all my life I've heard stories about people who go and basically remind you.. NEVER hit a restaurant for _authentic_ Mexican food. You want to hit the street vendors. Well, St. Louis has a fantastic surprise.. Now you can do that right here in the city! Part of a three-restaurant set up, Amigo Sole is the "street vendor" restaurant that's not on the street. (And having met the owner of the full set-up, I'm REALLY hoping i get invited to the grand opening of Jekyll & Hyde) As it was middle of the day Saturday, I didn't ask for anything alcoholic (so i don't know if the reviewer that asked for alcoholic beverages and was told they didn't have any was just unlucky or if it was true.) But I'll take a Mexican Coke over American Coke any day of the week (NO, get your minds out of the gutter.. not that powdered one!). Anyway, I went simple for a quick stop, and went with the Chicken Bomb. at the recommendation of the cashier and he was quick to name this one off.. (and always remember cashiers, have a favorite READY, so thumbs up to the cashier on this one!) . And then to my amazement.. no more than 5 minutes later, HOT, tasty, cheesy, chicken quesadilla style BOMB-diggity! (Ironically this one is not listed on the website menu, only the instore menu? Come on Sole, online is everything today :) ) Absolutely delicious food.. and absolutely messy too, as it literally would fall apart in my hands.. (HEY, that's a good thing!) As for the decor.. 100% true, as Amigo Sole definitely has SOUL! (and lots of soles!). Again Amigo Sole isn't designed to be a 'great sit down' restaurant, it's designed to be street-vendor FUN!!!! and with what decoration they have, it pulls it off fantastically in my opinion. So just based on my meal, what the owner told me about the Amigo Sole, you're getting EXACTLY what you're promised a Mexican street vendor serving fantastic Mexican street vendor food, only with a roof over your head the entire time. During the meal, met again (Who i believe to be) the owner of the store and talked with him about Amigo Sole and how amazing it was to me... and he told me about the three-restaurant combination. (And I apologize sir, but I completely forgot your name when we talked!). even mentioning they share three kitchens when it gets busy (so I was kinda lucky as i think the rain scared everyone out for the day), but I'm still hoping for the Jeckyll & Hyde invitation! (I'll even pretend to find a date if I have to for the upscale part!)

We did carry out and I got a loaded quesadilla. Food was delicious. The service was quick and the…read moreprices were good.

I am assuming the heat inside was why there were grease/sweat patches on the edge of the table I was seated on. The horchata was so dilute, I couldn't taste anything. The only saving grace were the chips and salsa - especially the salsa. Overall, this is a pretty overpriced place for below average food.
