A group of 7 waited for 40 minutes just to have our name taken off the waiting list and when we went inside to see why, they had another group of 9 getting a table ready for a walk in. And when I talked manager he said he had 8 burgers, a couple steaks and all he could offer as a side was French fries. Pathetic. Mind you we had children that were hungry waiting to eat. read more

We were out and about trying to use up all the gift cards we got for Christmas and we had a few for Chilis! We usually go to the Chilis in Los Lunas because it's the closest location but when we went in (LL) they told us they had a limited menu so we decided to try the next closest location. This is a smaller restaurant than the one in LL but we were seated quickly and drinks and appetizers came out pretty fast. I like the atmosphere in here. Not as busy as our regular location. Our waiter was friendly and checked on us frequently. There were only two people working the tables so I knew it would take a little longer than normal but our food came out really fast. The food at chilis is usually pretty good and today wasn't any different. Smokehouse combos with ribs and crispy chicken. Some brisket quesadillas and street corn. We shared an appetizer, dip trio, and everything was great. The ticket for 3 adults was about $80 before tip. It's pricey but the portions are huge and today we were lucky enough to have great service! I Probably will come back to this location next time we get together and have a craving for chili's just because the service was so much better than our regular chili's location. . Was absolutely very disappointed about my experience here. Although we did get get seated quickly, after ordering our food and it getting handed to us the young staff was absolutely disrespectful. Like at least fake a smile till you make it or put a little enthusiasm is y'all's faces. And when we got handed our food they made it wrong, thankfully one of the older employees noticed and fixed it but when it was handed to us at first they were really rude. The energy around the place was not good, everyone looked out of it like i get no one loves working late and just wants to go home and yall are exhausted but yall really need to work on the energy from staff towards customers. have been a customer very long time unfortunately on the budget now because I'm a senior. I love going to Chili's prices but now I find out it's not worth being a member. You don't get anything extra if you do the three for me anymore and it doesn't make any sense to get a Coke and a drink separate and pay for the drink at the full amount , you used to be half price if you got the three for me. The nachos were so weird. It was a corn tortilla smeared with refried beans and cheese. They toasted it and cut it into wedges. Completely gross. The "chili" was so disgusting. Went to this new location here on a Sunday afternoon with no wait time expecting a nice meal with my family and in return was fairly disappointed with the food and service. The chips and dip were good as usual, I ordered the Big Mouth Bites how it came and when the server brought my order his customer service was so bad his attitude was giving off the impression of not wanting to work however the presentation looked good till I looked at my overcooked mini burgers, they tasted more like char than a decent burger also my sister didn't even receive her side dish that went with her order, overall our first experience at this location left a negative impression on us and we will not return nor recommend this location to others. read more

I mean. It's literally a stone's throw from our house and we've given this place CHANCE after CHANCE. We consider ourselves regulars since we visit this place at least twice a month. Each time, we never see the same servers. Bartenders may stick around for a few weeks, but apart from that... I can tell the turnover is high. When that's the case I can't blame the servers, it has to be the management. This last visit, we waited over 30 mins, zero service. Time before that, we waited almost an hour to get our check. Most of the time, we either get zero refills or we get attitude when we have to ask for something. I was a server when I was in my 20s. I know what it's like, so I tip well even when the service is as bad as this place can be. The food is consistent. Not bad, but not great. But when it's template-style cooking, it's hard to screw up. With chilis, it's the service that keeps customers coming back. If it was the food, I may have waited another 30 minutes before leaving. I'm now sitting with my kid at a different location (Gibson) and I'm already on my first refill and our server told me my food is gonna be ready in minutes. ZERO STARS...Don't waste your time!!!!!! Unprofessional, lazy, and inconsiderate staff....As we walked in immediately, the host seemed very hesitant, stating the wait was more than 20 minutes. My family was not in much of a hurry, so we agreed to wait. 10 minutes later, the host returns to let us know the wait is more than 25 minutes, we let her know we were fine with the wait time, AGAIN. We waited 30 minutes, and the host their system was down and will be closing. This is not the 1st time this has happened at this location. If I could give the zero stars I would. We were told there was a 15-20 minute wait, they were busy, so I understand a longer wait. When we were next in line for a table, my family and I walked into the restaurant, they had about 8 tables empty and they proceeded to make us wait for another 30 minutes, when I questioned as to why they didn't seat us, they replied that a waitress went home for an hour break, and they had no plans of having someone else pick up the section when she was gone. They had people standing outside the restaurant for over an hour. When I asked the manager why they didn't fill in for the waitress on a break, they replied that their other ones couldn't take on more, and they were scared to overwork them. I understand they're busy, short staffed and tired, so the hour and a half wait wasn't the issue. I work in the food industry and I understand people have bad days, the first person who greeted us didn't even make eye contact was rude and dismissive. Walked in and immediately noticed other guest sitting around looking for their server, empty drinks , empty plate of chips. Sat down and got our drinks within 2 minutes cool. If I could give a ZERO star rating I would. Server was horrible; food took over a hour and a half for it to come to our table, food was cold, drinks were not refilled, forgot my meal, forgot our silverware (had to get up and get our own spoons) for our desert, and on top of it it was not busy. I would highly recommend this location. The staff there was wonderful (server Casey, server Ashlee and manager Lawrence). The food tasted great. My plate came out a little closer to room temp so the staff quickly addressed the issue and was very courteous in taking care of me and my family. It was my brothers-in-law's birthday and they made him feel special with a molten lava cake. The service was quick and the server in training did a great job. Trust me when I say this, not a great place to go even when you feel hungry. Yeah there may be a lot of people, but there are also rare chances to spot your server. Many restaurants I've been at, your server will appear and ask you how's the meal. We haven't seen our server for 20 minutes! You can see a lot if empty drinks and empty plates left out. We got seated right away, but at first glance, it didn't look like an average Chili's. The floor plan was very open and our seat was visible to the kitchen which felt uncomfortable and tight. We ordered chips and guac and one of the workers brought out JUST the guacamole and said the chips will be out soon. I thought that was so weird. The chips came and they were flimsy and greasy. We also were ordering from the 2 for $25 menu and at the end of it, our bill was $36, drinks taken into consideration, I ordered a water and my boyfriend had a tea? The drinks were the only thing outside of the 2 for $25 deal. And our food took forever... again, we just asked for it to-go, but wasn't tasty. Was very shocked when one of the male workers was grabbing his female coworker by the butt, and seemingly push her up against the wall. The guy had a tattoo on his left arm and was wearing to gold chains. He was the hostess, and has an airpod in. Working on the food industry, I know any sort of PDA in the workspace is not acceptable. This was in the pick up area, so it was closed off somewhat from the other part of the restaurant, but we were all sitting right in front of the entrance. This sexual harassment was very disturbing. Our server however, was phenomenal. He had longer hair and had his nails painted black. He was serving us and also bar tending. He was sure to check on us and provide us great service. Last night my family came in to have dinner, and we had awful service since the moment we came in. We were 3 adults and 3 children. The hostess had an awful attitude, and she offered a high top even though we had small children in our party. She then said it'd be 10-15 min to sit at a table or booth since they were short staffed. We waited over half an hour after at least four tables were sat before us. We called the manager and she wasn't of any help either. Clearly not very competent at her job. After we were finally sat the server was lovely and so attentive, He the only salvageable feature at this mediocre place. It took longer than it should have for our server to come and get our drink order, by that time we were ready to order. We finally got our drinks, got our chips and salsa. Was told our soups would be about 30 minutes, no problem... after about 25 minutes we got our queso for our chips and about 2 minutes after that we got our cold food. The ribs had sauce on top that looked like it had been sitting for quite some time, chicken tenders were over cooked and cold. Hadn't seen our server since we ordered as the runner brought us our meal, he looked annoyed, I asked him for refills and stuff we needed, again... annoyed. Finally towards the end of our subpar meal, our server comes to the table and asked if we needed any refills. We still hadn't gotten our soups. So I asked for them to go. While waiting for another 15-20 minutes for my soups to go, I counted 9 tables that hadn't been bussed while only 5 tables had people at them... not a single table was bussed the whole time we were there and a couple of large parties were walking in... I hope they turned around and walked out when they heard the wait time. While our server was not rude, it was some of the worst service I've ever experienced and definitely the worst trip to Chilis I've ever experienced. The fact that this is at a brand new location and several reviews are saying the same thing says a lot about the management. Do better, be better. read more

If you want to wait an hour and a half for your food you should come here. I am never coming back to this chilis ever again. I wanted to try it since it's new in the community but with what I experienced that will be the last time. When we got in, we were not welcomed with a warm welcome, and when seated the waiter did not check up on us and when she did and ordered waters, those came in 40 minutes later. The food was a two star service and could have ate better at a family owned restaurant or something. When we got our desert we had to ask for spoons since no one came with those. This restaurant continues to struggle with hospitality. The host was genuinely pleased to seat me, and things went downhill from there. There does not seem to be any training for wait staff about how to make customers feel welcome. The restaurant wasn't busy, it was 2/3 empty. My food came out promptly, but the first hint I had that things weren't going to go well was when my iced tea arrived. The plastic mug was very warm to the touch. The ice lasted about a minute. One has to wonder if it occurred to the server that you don't put an iced beverage in a hot mug. I had fajitas, which ALWAYS are served with 4 of the tiniest flour tortillas known to man. No matter how you fill these with the rest of the ingredients, you run out of these micro-tortillas half way through the meal. I would have asked for more -- but my waitress never bothered to ask how my meal was, or if I needed anything. My next visit from her was when I pushed my finished plate forward; she rushed over to tell me she'd bring my "receipt" right away. Never asked if I wanted dessert, or more tea, or if there was anything else she could get for me. Never said thanks for coming in, or have a nice evening, never even made eye contact. Just exchanged the ticket for my credit card, then dropped off the receipt and walked away. If she's wondering why she got the minimum tip, here you go: minimum service = minimum tip.
