Food was very good, service was great. I find this Chili's way better than the other one in Rio Rancho. I will go back.

We stopped by this Chili's for drinks and a snack. There were definitely some positives. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the highlight of the meal. I ordered the Frozen Flamingo Margarita, and while the flavor was decent, it wasn't blended well at all. It arrived with large frozen chunks floating in a pool of liquor, so I had to mix it myself before I could really enjoy it. My husband's beer was exactly what you'd expect. Unfortunately, the appetizer was where things went downhill. The chips tasted stale, the guacamole was extremely salty--to the point where it was difficult to eat--and the salsa was very watery and lacked much flavor. It was disappointing because chips and salsa are usually one of the easiest things to get right. Overall, the excellent service kept this from being a lower rating, but the quality of the food, especially the appetizer, really took away from the experience. I'd give this location another chance because the staff was great, but I hope the kitchen is more consistent next time. read more

We came here on a Sunday afternoon after doing some errands in the area. It wasn't too busy and they had some Sunday football on. Haven't been to Chili's in years. We just wanted to get a quick bite. We got the triple dipper, trio dip, and the QP burger. The dip trio was alright, I like the guacamole the best. Food was on par for what you expected from Chili's. No complaints. My girlfriend liked the triple dipper with all the options. My burger was good, next time I would opt for double patty. The food came out quick too. Our server was great and is what made our experience 5 star. She was very personable and checked in on us at the right times. There is another Chili's location way closer to us, but we would come back here because our server made all the difference in our experience. read more

Our server was working hard when we came here for lunch. She had a huge section and did great at making sure everyone got what they needed. One issue was that on our orders, 3/5 were incorrect, missing items, or had things we requested not to have. We didn't make a big deal about it, but it should be something that is carefully paid attention to in the kitchen, especially if there are allergies. There were only 5 tables filled plus a few in the bar. It took a few for our waitress to get to us, and we placed our order. The chips and salsa , guacamole, and queso came out fairly quickly and the side salad for one of the 4 of us. Then we sat and sat for 35 minutes waiting for our main entrees to come out. They were pretty good. The Santa Fe salad with brisket was almost no existent of brisket. Just a few shreds that had been left on the cutting board, and no actual slices of meat. Huh? Isn't brisket supposed to be prominent on top instead of a few measly scraps!!! The kids enjoyed their chicken tenders, BBQ chicken and macaroni and cheese. The sirloin steak with rice and broccoli did not even fill up the dinner plate. It was looking pretty pathetic. I had a birthday coupon for a free dessert. I had to go find our scarce waitress to ask for to go boxes, the molten cake dessert and our check. When having difficulty scanning my e-mail coupon, the waitress dropped my phone on the floor. Thankfully it did not break. She had problems scanning it and was going to have a manager deal with it. She disappeared and he did not show up. I had to go find Issac the GM to finally get the dessert ordered and the coupon scanned and our bill. He apologized that he was down 2 waiters. The issue was that our waitress was clueless. Love coming here but on a Saturday night at 6pm and 7 tables not cleared is not the best atmosphere to walk into. Our server asked us right when we sat down if we were ready to order and we just got our drinks and he asked again. Guess he wanted us to order right away even though we hadn't even opened our menus. One star for the nice waitress. This location was difficult to access with the surrounding road construction. We came for a streak craving which after waiting 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order we hear they are out of all steaks. Then she left and we went back to the menu to find something to replace. After another ten minutes we hear they don't have that either! Well why not tell us up front?! Three of us went in last night at 5 pm for dinner. I could tell they were short-staffed immediately. All the people in the dining room were squished together in one area, indicating they only had one server for the dining room. After waiting 5min, the hostess finally approached us and asked where we wanted to sit; bar or dining room. I initially said dining room, but she became flustered, and so I said, "If that's a problem, we can sit in the bar." She took us into the bar area and let us pick our table. There was only a handful of people in the bar, so I thought it would be a better option. It turns out that was not the case. There seemed to be one server for the whole bar, and she seemed overwhelmed. It took a long time to get our drinks and appetizer and an even longer to get our food. When they brought the appetizer, it was the wrong one. The girl who brought it seemed confused. She went back to the kitchen, and after about 10min finally returned with the correct appetizer. After 45min, I flagged her down and asked about an ETA on the food. She said, "It should be sooner rather than later; we have a slow kitchen tonight." It took another 20min after that before the food arrived. When it did, it was not all there. My friend was missing her side of salsa, and I was missing my blooming petals. It took another 15min to get the missing items, and by then, we were pretty much finished with our meal. While the food was delicious and I want to support restaurants through COVID. I would not recommend this Chili's until they get their staffing figured out. read more

Horrible management except for CeCe, turnover rate is crazy. Improper training, look at job sites and looks at how many positions are available. Unprofessional higher ups and 2 and a half stars is an understatement but reflective of the operation outside of my review. We don't come to this chilis often but we definitely won't be coming back to this location. Basically we were told it was a 5-10 minute wait to sit which was fine. We were sat pretty quickly and another group was sat after us. We watched as the waiter went to them took their order and got their drinks. We waited 10 minutes and I finally got up and mentioned to the host no one has come over. She got our waiter and he finally came over. He was unable to take our order because his tablet this was dead and he was unable to use pencil and paper or something. He took our drink order and left. He offered us an appetizer and we said we wanted the chips and salsa- we were under the impression this was free for having to wait. We were wrong which was annoying but fine. We had to grab our own silverware and ask for napkins. It took another 15 minutes for him to come back and take our order all while people around us were being helped. He finally took our order. The food was exactly what you expect from a chilis so that was fine. We had to flag down other servers to get drink refills. We finished eating and then we ordered a mini molten lava cake. The cake was burnt and the ice cream on top was about a teaspoons worth. When we went to pay they charged us $6 for a miniature molten cake. We asked because online it's $3.50 and the large is only a couple dollars more the $6. They said the $3.50 is only if you get the kids menu or a lunch meal. We asked why it says $3.50 online if they can't do that. They argued with us and told us we were wrong. We didn't even complain about the service up until then. We will not be coming back here. If there's a manager at this location you'd never know it. This is a highly disorganized establishment. I've seen better functioning high school concession stands. It all started at the front door where the greeter couldn't even figure out how to deal with three groups of people who were waiting to be seated. He skipped right over the group that was there first until another customer got him back on track. The service was slow and it took 15 minutes for chips and queso to arrive. The food came out quicker, but my Cajun chicken pasta wasn't even served hot. Both the chicken and the pasta were barely warm. We had to ask for silverware. We had to get our own napkins, and we had to get our own sweetener. There's just no attention to detail at this location, and it appears as if they don't provide any training to their staff. Today we just went back and got a refund and returned the order that was missing. When I went back there were just employees walking around not being gainfully employed.... The most impressive part of the experience was the care and patience that GM Isaac and his staff had while my team was there. They took really good care of us and we were able to relax, eat, and be taken care of after a long day at our meet. If you have a big group, this is a great place to bring them.
