My mom and I were wanting to eat out on a Sunday night, I was craving ribs so I was like "Chilis?" When we got to Chili's we were told it'd be a 45 minute to an hour wait. I'm a hostess at a restaurant so I understand the wait time if there was an issue with lack of servers, which by the looks of it i think there was. But, what my mom and I had immediately noticed was how dirty it was. Floors were not clean AT ALL. Trash all throughout the restaurant. Bathroom was even worse. This is the worst Chilis that I have ever been too. I waited 45 minutes for two salads to be served with three cooks in the back and it wasn't crowded. I watched two servers at the same table trying to take an order from 4 kids. This all took place in the bar area of the restaurant. read more

Do yourself favor! Pick another restaurant to eat at!! The curbside pickup that is advertised on the website is nonexistent!! I placed an order for curbside pickup at 3:08. At the latest it was to be ready at 3:43. We'll that never happened. I had to go in and the order still wasn't ready!! After all that. I had to ask the poor young man that give me the food. If he could wipe the cups that had soda running down the sides. If I could get another bag bc the containers were laying on their side. The soup was spilling. The salsa was spilling in the bag. This is the worst restaurant we went to. My wife and I were trying to place an order for pickup online, and the website was down. We went inside, and one of the employees approached us, and was too close. She had a mask, but didn't social distance at all. We were told to call directly to the restaurant to place an order. The person who was in charge of the phone order was on a break for a long period of time. When we finally got someone on the phone it was over twenty minutes. We placed the order and waited in the restaurant parking lot for an additional thirty-five minutes. When we got our order, the employee didn't apologize or offer any discount off of the food. Came here w the bestie for lunch, it was a weekday and it was not crowded. We got seated and ordered our drinks and appetizers then waited...and waited...and waited. At one point a worker came by and asked of we wanted our check??!! I said WE DIDNT EVEN GET OUR FOOD YET! Bad management? Not sure. Lots of tables available but still waited 15 to be seated. Once we took our seats and ordered food and drinks, Our food and drinks took about 30 min to come out. Once our plates where in front of us our orders had missing items and part of my order was literally on someone else's plate. We had been seated at table 21 where you can see everything in the kitchen and we saw the manager fooling around with some in the female employees laughing and just having a blast. We had a ball! Came to Chili's today after reading some of the reviews I wasn't too sure on how this experience would be. Happy to report from the time we walked in until the time we left it was great! Some of the past reviews talked about the wait time and the open tables which I did see however people were working hard to quickly clean up tables and have guests seated. Our server La Toya came over right away and took our order. The food runner brought our strawberry lemonades quickly as well. Our food came about 15 minutes later. We ordered basic things, I got the Texas fries and boneless buffalo wings and my daughter got the chicken tenders and french fries it looked and tasted good. I asked for celery because there wasn't any on the plate our server brought them quickly, they were fresh and crisp! I asked for a clean plate because when they first brought the food it looked like one of the plates had a little pizza crust or something on it and they bought me a clean plate right away. It seemed to me like there were a lot of hard-working people who came to get a bite and a lot of hard-working servers and runners making it all happen. Towards the end of our time I saw a managers start to clean the table, she spoke into her headset and asked for two helpers, immediately two people came to help her. she encouraged them and told one of them he was amazing! Is it under new management? I don't know but the visit we had everyone was definitely striving to make sure we had a good experience. I will come back. read more

I ordered the grilled chicken salad and received a huge to go container with hardly any lettuce and chicken. It would have been a 0 before the manager stepped in last night. Early in the morning of June 19, My daughter in law called and got a text confirming a reservation for about 25 people for after her daughters graduation dinner. When we arrived aprox 8pm.we were told they don't take reservations, we would have to wait for 2 parties that had arrived before us,(20 ppl and 30 ppl) after speaking to the manager and my dil showing her text, I'm sorry I didnt get his name but he did all he could to accommodate us, comp'd appetizers, kid's drinks,dessert, and the servers ,tho it was chaotic with all the kids, us old folks Etc. I haven't been to Chili's in awhile. After today, I don't think I ever will. We waited to be seated in a very unorganized fashion. When we arrived we were the only ones waiting. The hostess told us we would be seated in 5-10 minutes. 5 minutes later the manager came by (other groups had arrived) and started taking names but didn't bother to ask who was there first and took down another groups name ahead of us. When we were seated we were asked for our drink orders. About a minute later we were asked what we wanted to order but we weren't ready and asked for more time. 15 minutes passed and no one came back. Meh, it's a chain. I don't go to Chili's at home but sometimes on the road I hit chains. I had a burger 'n fries for lunch with people from work. It was OK. CILANTRO!! What is cilantro? It's sometimes called Flat-Leafed Parsley or Italian Parsley, and is used to add a pungent flavor to Southwestern and Chinese dishes. I'm in a wheelchair, recovering from a stroke, so that's my point-of-view. This visit was on a Saturday, about 12:30pm. There were four handicapped spaces on the west side of the restaurant, and three were being used. The fourth one was empty, but was partially blocked by an idling armored car. We "gestured" to the driver that we wanted to use that space. For a moment, I imagined shots being fired at us from the gunports on the side, but then the armored car driver backed up slowly to let us in. Whew!! We were able to park and then I wheeled around to the front, and the hostess held the doors open for me to wheel in (add one star). There was no waiting for my group of three (add one star) and we were led to a table. The service was a bit slow at first; there was some confusion by the waitstaff as to who was assigned to our table (subtract one star). We finally ordered our food and drinks. I had the Triple Dipper, with my selection of Southwestern Eggrolls, Boneless Shanghai Wings, and Boneless Buffalo Wings, conplete with dipping sauces for each one. One friend had the Chicken Ranch sandwich, but subbed Onion Strands for the french fries. The other friend wanted the Lettuce Wraps, but wanted to be certain that there was no cilantro in the filling, as he has an allergic reaction to cilantro. The server reviewed the menu description, which read "Delicious grilled Asian-spiced chicken with carrots, water chestnuts, crispy rice noodles and toasted almonds. Served with fresh Bibb lettuce and sesame-ginger and peanut sauces for dipping." She assured my friend that she would make sure that no cilantro was used. When our food arrived, we dug in and started eating. The eggrolls and the shanghai wings were very tasty (add one star), but the buffalo wings were a bit too spicy. I couldn't really complain because buffalo wings are supposed to be spicy. The chicken ranch sandwich arrived with fries, but the server recovered quickly by also bringing out a plateful of onion strands (add one star). The chicken filling for the lettuce wraps had small green leaves that looked like cilantro. We tasted it for our friend and told him that it was indeed cilantro (subtract one star). We flagged down the server and she took the plate back to the kitchen. The manager came out to apologize and explained that although no cilantro is used in the cooking process, it is an ingredient in the company's marinade. He offered to have the dish prepared with un-marinated chicken (add one star) and my friend agreed to it. He also offered to execute the chef (add one star), but my friend settled for a complimentary bowl of soup, while waiting for the new dish to come out. The new Lettuce Wraps must have been good, as my friend ate everything on his plate. When we got the check, we thought they would at least comp or discount the Lettuce Wraps for the inconvenience, but no go (subtract one star). Total rating: three stars read more

Upon entering the Carson, CA location, I saw many empty tables and thought "great, we will be seated right away" yet was told it would be a 5-10 minute wait. I asked why since there were tables available and was told they needed to be bussed. The hostess stated they only had three servers for the entire restaurant. Having restaurant management experience myself, I knew this was a good indicator that the restaurant is mismanaged and the hostess agreed. Once seated, Charles noticed we hadn't been waited on and was quick to respond. He quickly apologized for the wait and asked to take our order. We ordered everything at once for fear we would have to wait extra long between our drink order, appetizer and entrees but Charles proved us wrong and delivered our drinks and food quickly (perhaps because he saw I was drafting this review?). Our appetizer (Tostada Chips & Fire-Grilled Corn Guacamole) came with greasy and overcooked chips. Our dinners (Margarita Grilled Chicken) were only warm and we thought about sending them back to be microwaved but again, we feared it would take too long so we ate them anyway. The food was good and it was clear Charles and the rest of the crew were making a good effort to take care of as many customers as they could while serving the food in a timely manner. Since I witnessed the wait staff and food runners diligently working to provide the best service possible, I can only surmise the problem lies with the poor management running this particular location. The hostess could have been better trained to open the door for arriving customers as many of Chili's competitors do, take the customer's drink order if the wait staff is busy and maybe even assist with bussing the tables. None of the workers had smiles on their faces and they all seemed to be very stressed. At no point in the evening did I see any signs of a manager. Despite the good service Charles provided, I don't think I'll be visiting this location again. read more

Ok, I'm a closet Chili's aficionado. I like this restaurant chain. FYI Chili's is International, (they have one in Saudi Arabia but they won't admit to it). The fajitas are actually pretty good, especially for a non-Mexican restaurant and they have tall draft beers! I have been on a quest to find the Chili's that is featured in the Chili's commercial. This has been an on-going quest for my friend and I for sometime now. When ever we see the commercial, the one where everyone is partying like it's1999, with perfect food, blue neon lights and a smoke machine that makes it seem like Chili's is cool night club and everyone is a model - we always say we want to go to that one...Well I can't say that I have found that particular one, but I have come one Chili's closer in finding "The Ultimate Party Club Chili's". The one in Carson has the neon lights, a couple of plasma TVs, fajitas that seemed to taste just that much better (maybe it was the neon), and a bit of a party atmosphere...I almost felt like I was in the Twilight Zone or in that commercial...almost Oh well...I will keep searching....Chili's in the commercial I will find you and party like it's1999 when I get there!! P.S. I only stumbled upon this place because of an involuntary trip to IKEA on an early Sunday Evening - but glad I did! read more

Turn on I decided to go to chilli's for dinner I ordered it to be brought to the car curbside not that that makes any difference I just did not feel like getting out of the car. I placed my order for the 3 for 10 I ordered my drink of salad and the shrimp Cajun pasta without Cajun spice. Apparently does chef can't read directions because it had Cajun spice. I ate it anyway because it wasn't terribly spicy but if I had been allergic to something in that spice I would have been really pissed . The one reason I went is because I like their 2 for 10 But it will be a while before I decide to go Back the last 4 or 5 times I have guarded Chili's either the service or the food for both was subpar. read more
