This is for a take out review. Again it's hard to rate restaurants during these times but this is an honest review and it was more like 2.5 stars due to the service. I ordered online thru the App. We get the 3 for $10 specials which is hard to beat. I specify the time and drive a little early. I feel bad as they only gave a few people in the outdoor dining. This was last week while it was still allowed. I'm the only one is the designated take out area. I call in as soon as my time came up. They said they will bring out my order as soon as it was ready. 10 mins go by and people getting here after me are getting their orders before me. An employee came out and said they were very busy and my order will be out soon. There was only two people in the dine out area and 3 cars pulled up after me so it wasn't that busy. Nearly 30 mins after I arrive my food comes out. I think they forget my order and fired it up when I called to pick it up. The food itself wasn't bad and as expected for Chili's. We got the honey chipotle chicken crispers and they were good and fresh. The salad was ok. We like the service better on the Otay location but since this is near my house we like to come here instead. Hopefully next time this service will be better. read more

I came here last night around 10:10pm. We had a party of 3 adults and 6 kids. Even though we had a large group we were fully aware that the restaurant closed at 11pm and were willing to leave before then as to not inconvenience the staff. The server sat us down at two tables but before we even got the chance to order the manager came out and told us we had to leave. I asked her why since the restaurant was still open and we would leave before they shut down for the night but she repeatedly told us they wouldn't serve us even though we had already been seated and everything. At this point she had spent so much time arguing with me that if she had just taken our orders and served us food instead we would have already been gone without the huge hassle. To add even more insult to the experience, when I told the manager I would be leaving a bad review to warn others about my experience and asked for her name, she REFUSED to tell me, probably because she doesn't want to be held accountable. First of all-- don't believe the 2.9 average rating on this Chili's. We've been here three times and everything has been outstanding every time! The 3 for Me deal is a ridiculously great deal! For the price of a McD's meal you get more food, a comfortable place to sit and great service. The most recent visit in early November 2025 was a VERY busy Sunday... yet after only a 10 minute wait we were seated and served extremely quickly. Everything we asked for such as extra napkins were delivered in two or three minutes. The server did not forget anything we wanted. Our server was fantastic but other employees were prompt and friendly too. Remember it was super busy. The food was delicious, great burgers, LOTS of fries-- good soup. I'm tempted to visit another Chili's just to see if this location has extra great management or if all Chili's have become outstanding... it's a joy to see a great place and to recommend them to others! read more

Chilis.... What's not to like. Usually a pretty solid go to as far as chain restaurants. A good weekday outing for the family that won't break the bank. Your not expecting culinary award winning food but hot and well prepared food.. right? 07/30/24 at 7 pm after a long work shift I place an order for curbside pick up. Placed it online for 48 party platter wings, triple dipper's appetizer, a 3 for me smash burger and extra chips and salsa. Well let me start by saying the gal who helped me was hard working and very professional and the chips and salsa were excellent.... those are the high lights. Food was awful, cold, soggy and thrown together. My wings were suppose to be bone in and I got boneless, hamburger literally looked like it was run over by a truck. Apps cold and soggy. My bill over $100.00 bucks for really bad food. Now remember I'm not looking for 5 star ...just hot and well prepared food. Was it an off day? Too busy? Not sure? This is the second time I have eaten there ordered a steak and had to send it back three times because it was either under or over cooked each time. The service is good in most cases but they need to take a little bit more time and cook the food properly. What amazed me about the service was certain services would spend more time watching the sporting events on TV rather than take care of the customers. Seemed clean. read more

Food was delicious, but what made our dinner more pleasant was our waitress Grace. She did an extraordinary job, very attentive, she kept checking on us, and made sure we had everything we needed. The manager Yadira was also very sweet, and came to check on us to see how we were doing. I highly recommend this place. I ordered a lunch special chicken sandwich with fries and extra pickles when my food arrived, there was a long strand of black hair on my fries. I was hesitant to say something. I was ready to just pick the hair off, but thought I would let my waitress know. Sidenote our service was great today. No complaints whatsoever on our waitress, however, when I told my server that there was a hair in my food, she simply said let me take it back and make you another one. When the food was brought out, there was the chicken sandwich small pile of fries and a cup of extra pickles, just like I asked when the food was brought back no more than five minutes later there was no cup of pickles, but they were just added on the sandwich and the fries just seemed like they were shuffled around in my opinion. I think the hair was just picked off and the fries are shuffled. There may be a couple more were added. My son and my sister had a good experience. I tend to frequent Chili's as sometimes the consistency of flavors a chain restaurant can provide is the move. This was my first steak from this venue and I have to say I was impressed. I said medium and please season it well, they understood the assignment. My steak was prepared perfectly, there was great flavor on the asparagus and my margarita was also good. The only point at which I wasn't thrilled with everything was when attempting to close out and get a box. It took a MINUTE to get my servers attention so I could get a box and close out. In their defense tho I feel like despite that they didn't appear busy on the floor, you never know what's going on behind the scenes. If that's the only issue it's no biggie. read more

BEWARE OF MITCHELL. After months of coming here with my best friend, and seeing our favorite waiters Cade and Jose, we will not be returning. The most recent experience involved the general manager, Mitchell. My food had come out cold twice, and I made the mistake of thanking him for fixing it. I did not know this thanks would invite this man to harass my best friend. He comped our meals, and made it seem like he was doing it out of holiday spirit, when in reality, he was using this ability to get my friend's number. He asked for her number, and feeling pressured, she gave it to him. Days later, she expresses her need for space, and he does not take the rejection well. He continued to push for more communication, and expressed his attraction multiple times. After 2 more separate attempts at communication, I reached out to Chili's on instagram and escalated the situation. I really like Chili's and in particular, the Paseo Del Rey location in Chula Vista. I go quite often, generally at least once a week. The server that takes care of me most frequently is Angel and he's great. He always gets my order exactly as requested, he's friendly, accommodating and checks back with me often to see if anything else is needed. There are two other servers, two pretty young women whose names (Anissa? might be one of them) I'm not sure of that are also quite nice. I pretty much order the same thing every time; see photos, and I'm always happy with the food. The only reason I took off a star is because they could be a bit more conscientious about making sure the tables are thoroughly cleaned/cleared between each party. Dining here was an epic disappointment the last month when I came here with a small group. Arrived little after 7, got seated almost an hour later even though we were told a wait of about half an hour. The reason was that, people with online reservations started to show up all of a sudden. I went to this location because Is closer to where I live. My bf and sister were hungry so we decided to go give it a try! We were impressed with the prices!! They have really good prices!!!! Bf and I got the meal for $25 dollars. For our starter we got the 1/2 order of cheese fries. I got the Cajun chicken pasta, bf got the just bacon burger. And for dessert we got the skillet chocolate chip cookie. My sister order the buffalo chicken sandwich. The only reason why I'm giving a 4star was because the cheese fries were not good!!!!! We did not liek them! Too dry! No flavor! And barely any cheese on them. But everything else was delicious! I loved my Cajun chicken pasta!!! And bf and sister loves their food as well! I always have an issue with this chilis in paritcular. The first time my food was ashy and burnt??? The second time my friends got a rash from the grease and got sick. Waited a couple of months to try again because you know third times a charm!! I went today and everything went smoothly, until it was time to pay. The server gave us one refill and did not really do much for us, but I understand and I always carry cash to leave a 20 dollar tip for my usually around 25ish or less dollar bill. I get it servers have it hard. But, she saw me finally paying and rushed over and made an excuse of "the kisosk does not work!" to come into my personal space, and she hit the pay button for me and left herself a tip? This chain always has a funny place in my heart since it's one of the first places I could take my two young kids a long time ago. It's okay if they get loud... there's food for their young tastebuds and food and drink for us, the parents lol. We haven't been back for a while, but decided to go last night. Surprisingly, there was only a 5 min wait at 6 pm!!! We got seated right away! Our waiter Kade was super friendly and made sure our hungry kids got their order in asap, while Hubz and I were still pondering on what to order. I ordered the ribs family meal. It was supposed to feed 6 people. I ordered mash and corn for the sides. The portions for ribs was fine. The site showed large sides of mashed potatoes and what was provided were small cups. They also gave me two pieces of corn. I'm not sure how this could ever feed 6 people.
