    Chicken Bacon Ranch Nachos
    Billy C.

So we found ourselves in Farmingdale and decided the best thing to do was eat at Chili's. We never had Chili's before so why not. We ordered a new menu item, the chicken bacon ranch nachos. The chicken felt like it was bagged chicken reheated and chopped to serve. Throw it on some nachos, sprinkle only a few bacon bits, add some sauce and various toppings and voila. This app was okay. The mushroom burger was okay. Patty was overcooked. Mushrooms were okay, cheese unmelted. A generic and average burger. The smokehouse combo was good! Everything was hot. Ribs were not tender but extremely flavorful and tasty. Chicken crispers were basically like tenders they were hot, crispy, and hard to mess up. Sausage was good. Service was good, place was clean.

They had a problem with the grill in the back and our food was taking really long. The Manager then came out to us and told us that we were able to order dessert on them. She was really nice and I wish I could come here again. - my son's review.

This is a very intimate Chilis that has an open feel to it. Today it was hopping at the bar and the tables were filled. Despite this, there seemed to be very little wait for seating. I sat at the bar and we ordered beers, whiskey, margaritas, frozen sangria'Ritas, mozz bars and chips. The bartender was amazing and despite how crowded it became we felt well taken care of. The mozzarella "bars" are amazing. The drinks great. The atmosphere cheerful. A great way to hang out and spend a Sunday.

I was skeptical coming here. Big box food places have fallen off since Covid. I've had good and bad experiences here. This time was a big win for them. Food was great, quick and hot. Service was quick and attentive. Even tho it filled up for Friday rush it was still a great experience.

"The Double Old Timer with Cheese" Big ugly delicious tasty beast!!!

ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS I HAD IN A LONG TIME Have been to quite a few Chili's before, but this one has to be the best one so far! We stopped in after shopping at Walmart for car tires (The best prices) and were seated right away. This place was nice, clean, comfortable, sports on the TV's, people eating, drinking, etc. OUR WAITRESS SOFIA One of the most amazing waitresses I have seen in a long time. Confident, vibrant positive smile, paid attention to detail and explained everything thoroughly! Not only did she serve us, but she was also serving others, cleaning tables, making drinks and doing checks! Doing all this and still being very attentive to anything we needed, damn, amazing! SHE SHOULD BE THE GM!!! People like this are rare - Thank you for serving us. THE FOOD Appetizer: "Nachos and Salsa" It was pretty good, very generous portion and they fill it when you finish, nice! Lunch: I'm a large, muscular man weighing 240lbs, I was hungry. Our waitress recommended "The Double Old Timer with Cheese and fries". She even told me I can make it a triple, but in my mind, it's not a burger at triple, it's just turns to sloppy joe on your plate, so I got the double (and a diet coke, lol). I wanted to taste everything that makes a burger a burger. THE DOUBLE OLD TIMER WITH CHEESE AND FRIES No cheap thin patties here, this thing was a big ugly monster, only a true hamburger expert would appreciate what's happening here - The smell alone was intoxicating, what would enter your mind when you think of a delicious juicy burger! Slanted slightly toasted Brioche bun to expose the juicy patties with that amazingly slightly charred look, cheese melted just right, with that little bit of drip falling off the patty, so juicy, it slightly moistened the bottom bun! I didn't think I could finish it, or even fit it in my mouth, but after that first bite, it was all over for that "Old Timer". This has to be, one of the tastiest, best burgers I hav had in a very long time!!! (picture below) NO GUILT HERE BABY "Double Old Timer with Cheese", fries (delicious), 2 servings of nachos gone!!! Man, I was very happy! Our waitress asked if I wanted another one, and then smiled "I know your just kidding!" Sofia even gave me some nachos to go with extra sala, how could you beat this place? The service, the food, the friendly, comfortable ambiance. If I lived in this area, this would be my "go to" restaurant.

The night was bingo night but that aside we had a good time. You can eat both inside and outside. The outside offers seating in front and back. I'm a big outdoor seating person so we ate outdoors. For the most part, everyone enjoyed their dinner. The hamburgers were good. The fried pickles were good, if you like those. The Parmesan fries were also popular, but not my thing. What caught my eye was the berry goat cheese salad. Mixed greens, berries, caramel pecans, goat cheese, and their red vinaigrette was excellent. I thought I'd throw some protein on there so added the steak. The steak was not very good so I ended up eating very little of it. Not quite sure what the taste was that the steak was giving off but not something to my liking. Otherwise, this is a terrific salad. The vegetables refresh, they gave you a ton of variety of berries, and the overall size was terrific.

We ordered the street corn queso dip and calamari as the appetizers. I enjoyed the calamari but the serving size is small for a shared appetizer. I ordered the miso glazed salmon. I did ask if I could have it cooked medium rare and waiter said absolutely. The salmon was still a little bit over, but flavor was decent. I thought the potatoes were pretty bland, but the brussel sprouts were good. The portion seems to be a bit inconsistent with what I had seen online. We had the horchata tartufo and peanut butter pie for dessert. The horchata ice cream had great cinnamon flavor and we enjoyed it. Additionally, there's a 2.95% service charge on our bill that was not explained and I am very curious about. My fault for not paying close enough attention to ask at the time.

That's the kind of place you'll want to linger long after your plate is empty. We had French Onion Soup, and it was everything you want from a classic. Rich, deeply caramelized onion broth with incredible savory flavor, topped with a toasted baguette that soaked up just enough broth while still keeping a little bite. The bubbling layer of melted mozzarella and Swiss stretched with every spoonful. There was a flavor I couldn't place, but had me thinking herbaceous Italian seasonings, which isn't typically the flavor profile of French onion soup, gave it a unique flavor and made every bite more irresistible. The Asian Chicken Salad was anything but ordinary. Crisp romaine and crunchy red cabbage were tossed with tender grilled chicken, crunchy cashews, and fresh scallions. We got the sesame ginger vinaigrette on the side, which struck the perfect balance of nutty, tangy, and slightly sweet. Every forkful had a fresh crunch followed by a burst of bright, savory flavor that kept us coming back for another bite. The Chicken Taco Salad arrived in a crispy tortilla shell that was almost too pretty to break into, but we're glad we did. Juicy marinated chicken, creamy avocado, fresh pico de gallo, sweet corn and black bean salsa, chopped greens, and a generous blend of Mexican cheeses were all tied together with a smoky chipotle-lime vinaigrette. Cool sour cream mellowed the gentle heat, creating the perfect combination of creamy, smoky, zesty, and fresh in every bite.

My brother has always wanted to try this place, but we never had a chance to actually step foot inside the Library Cafe. As the name suggests, the restaurant sits at the site of the old town library, and the bar area has tall shelves and a rolling ladder to pay homage to the name. To maximize the restaurant week menu, three of us tried different appetizers. The ahi tuna taco was the best of the lot- crispy shell and nicely prepared tuna filling. The Thai calamari was a little too overcooked and the sweet sauce was cloying. I didn't get to try too much of the French onion soup because my dad almost inhaled it whole, but it was gooey and comforting. I had the honey-soy glazed salmon with broccolini. The salmon was a little dry, but the glaze and cashew went well with it. Maybe a touch of spice could have improved the dish. The broccolini was nicely textured and not too bitter. My mom's fish and chips were underwhelming, though the not-proper "chips" were well fried and seasoned. It was not served with vinegar either. My brother had the Buddha bowl which he enjoyed and felt was a good health conscious option. I did love that they allowed my dad -- who was not feeling too well-- to order just an entree while the rest of the table had the restaurant week menu. I know some restaurants require all members of the table to order off the prix fixe menu sometimes. He had the burger, which was cooked very precisely to medium-rare. We did have dessert though we were stuffed at this point. The sticky toffee pudding cake was lovely, moist, and so decadent without being overly heavy. I ordered the wild berry cheesecake, and while the clearly house made berry compote was a nice touch, it was just a little underwhelming next to the sticky toffee pudding. Overall, we had a good time at the Library Cafe, and though service was a little slow due to sudden rush of diners, it was a fun little weekday dinner. I did see signs for their happy hour, which I'd love to try-- especially their cocktails named after writers!
