I'm really glad that they are still able to operate during these times of uncertainty. We normally have good experience with this Chili's , but for some reason this time it wasn't so good at all. On Veteren's Day we bought close to $180.00 Worth of food. We order take out due to the Covid and long lines. I love their street corn but this time we ordered six of them and all of them were burnt and all the spices were all wiped off onto the foil that it was wrapped in when normally we order it they would pack it in a container. Then we order a crispy chicken avocado salad the salad was partially brown and weathered and the chicken was overly cooked. I was very disappointed especially during these times , I know it's tough but at least be consistent on the cooking and not over cook and make sure salads are fresh and presentable. Went here again last week and was glad to get a seat sooner than expected. There was a fifteen minute wait at the door and the delicious smells was killing me! We ordered the queso skillet dip with our chips and salsa and got so full we couldn't order a main meal or desert. The chips are light and crispy and the salsa was bursting with flavor! The waiter, Jordan, was talented and superceded the norm with his developed waiting skills! I usually do not record specifics on waitstaff but he is an exemption. Not only did he get our orders (in this case, our custom drinks) correct but they and our chips NEVER saw bottom! I have never been able to write or say that before. Food quality has been going down over the last year as well as customer service. EVERY time we get to go orders, our orders have been missing food. Not just one or two items. When we call they state we can drive there and pick up the missing meals, defeats the purpose of getting to go orders or delivery. This was my first visit to Chili's. Maybe it was good timing or something but I had a very good experience! first of all, it was middle of the afternoon -like happy hour time. Not sure if they had happy hour here but I also didn't think to ask. We were seated right away and looking around, everything was clean and neat. Our server came by promptly and I won't lie - I was excited to use my iD card. Well- dumb idea - I forgot it's not useable with coupons and I had a coupon for a free queso. Well...But my queso was delicious, as expected. Our server (wish I could remember her name) was very sweet about showing us the special menu. I really liked the spicy shrimp tacos that was on said special menu. However, I can't eat shrimp (allergic you know) but I really really wanted the tacos...so I got the spicy tacos with chicken instead of shrimp. So totally worth it. I really enjoyed this!!! Well, in any case, we ended up sitting and talking for a while after we were done eating without being bothered...I would've liked more water though. But no one came over once we were paid up. I have been coming to chili's (this locations) for over 10 years. Never really had issues. Today was different. I ordered by phone around 5:15 and my curbside order was not ready until close to 7. The servers tried their best and there were a lot of orders my issue was the manager. With 25 pages of back orders he/she refused to come outside and address the many people waiting. The manager had no system of getting food out. In the end did I get my food? Yes minus the drink. But by that time it totally slipped my mind as I was so excited that my food arrived. Hopefully they will get a system in place. When we ate lunch here several months ago, the food was horrible, very salty and our server wasn't personable nor was she efficient. It took her about 15 mins to take our order and she wasn't even waiting on other tables that I could tell. I saw her talking to the hostess the majority of the time we were there. Honestly when someone is not happy with their job or is having a bad day, they really need to check that attitude at the door before stepping into "work mode". Our food arrived cold. The fajitas weren't even sizzling on the hot plate like the tables around us. Do not order the beef fajitas. It was very salty! The waitress explained that the kitchen marinates it in Hawaiian Sea Salt and then it's seasoned again with salt when it's cooking. Seriously tasted like the cook dumped the whole container of salt on it. My dad couldn't eat it and for the record he will pretty much eat anything. He wasn't offered a substitute. We even asked the waitress to take it back and have the cooks taste it but she said that's the way it's prepared and offered to bring us a box to take it home. Come on now. If my dad can't eat it here what makes you think he's going to eat it at home? I ordered the Avocado Burger which was ok, at least it wasn't salty but the fries were. Tasted like I was eating a glob of salt. The waitress told us the fries were double salted. When I asked what that meant she explained the cooks salted the fries before frying and then salted them once they came out of the fryer. My dad asked if they ever got complaints about it being too salty and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "yea" and then she was off again. My mom ordered the ribs and she said it was ok, but the veggies were bland and the apple cinnamon was salty. I tried the apple cinnamon and it really was salty. Go figure! For apps we ordered the crispy string onions and chili fries, both were way too salty. We ended up not eating the apps. The waitress checked on us maybe 2 times (and I'm being generous) and spent the majority of her time talking to the hostess. I had to go get her to get the bill and she never came back to get it. After about 15 mins, I took the bill over to the hostess only to be told to go back to my table because the waitress will come and get it. It took her another 15 mins to pry herself away from the hostess station to come over and get the check. All in all our experience was not pleasant and I know I won't be back to this location again. We were there to celebrate my dad's birthday. I realize the food wasn't the waitress's fault but she offered no apology or solution when she's the one who asked how the meal was and we told her it was way too salty. She could clearly see our food was hardly touched. Her solution was to offer us a box to take it home. Heeellloo? If we can't eat it here, like seriously what makes you think I'm going to go home and eat it? We ended up not taking anything home. Ended up paying $120 for a meal we hardly touched and the worst part is we were there to celebrate my dad's birthday. Sorry dad, should've went to Taco Bell like you wanted. Save your money and go somewhere else. Management needs to step up to the plate and retrain servers and get some new cooks. Over the years I've seen this chilis make a lot of changes to their menu and their service. They're in a really good place now and it shows because each time I come in they have a pretty good crowd. It's great to come here for Sunday games since they're close to home. My mom and I almost always get their Chipotle flatbread and their chips and salsa. Their molten chocolate cake is my weakness. And I like their pretzel sticks too. I've had a handful of other items at this location and they've all been really good; the sampler with the southwest egg rolls, chicken wings and sliders, their cheeseburgers are juicy and soo yummy (my mouth is watering thinking about it), their fajitas are also really good, I wouldn't think to order a steak at chilis but my brother's gotten their ribeye and it was okay. Their quesadillas are really good. I have not tried the new street tacos but the family next to us ordered them (yes I was snooping) and they're on my list of what to try next. Went last night for dinner after we went to the beach. I wish my wife would have told me that my hair looked like crap and was messy! But anyway, the dinner service was pretty good. We didnt wait very long to order or to get food. We tried the Skillet Queso for the first time and it was actually pretty good. My kids enjoyed it. For dinner, my wife got the shrimp tacos, kids got the big mouth bites, and I got the Philly Cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was good but it looked small. My wifes taco place was so big that she couldnt even finish it. The kids really loved their big mouth bites and finished it. For dinner, we tried the Oreo Cookie Molten cake that the server recommended because we were going to order the regular Molten Lava....the suggestion was a good idea. She was helpful in helping us make up our minds of what to eat and took care of us. One of the best servers I've had there and will definitely be coming back! This review is for the amazing service that our waiter, Chail, provided to us yesterday! Usually I'm not a huge fan of Chili's because their service is hit or miss. But yesterday, I was happily surprised! We were seated, and right away Chail came and got our drink orders as well as an appetizer. He was super speedy and friendly, and was always willing to accommodate! He delivered our appetizers, food, and desserts, which I appreciated; instead of having someone else come and awkwardly try to hand out entrees. My water was never empty, and he came to check on us twice. Chail is the epitome of what a great waiter should be. My lil girl wanted the baked potato soup so my fam and I ended up here for lunch. There was no wait time and we were seated promptly by the host. I'm not sure if our server introduced herself, but she came by within 5 mins to get our drink orders. She kept forgetting our orders- gave us enchilada soup instead of baked potato soup; forgot the fries w/ the kids' pepp pizza; she served our queso dip cold. We enjoyed the food, so it made up for her forgetfulness. Also, there was another server there, Rose, who was checking up on us as well. She let us keep the enchilada soup while she got the baked potato soup- it was ok, but not great. It had a smoky flavor and the chunks of chicken were tender. I ordered the chicken quesadilla salad- it comes with 4 triangles of cheese quesadilla, grilled chicken strips, tomatoes, cheese, and lettuce. It was rated well here on yelp, but I thought it could be better-maybe bec I'm partial to CPK's bbq chicken salad. Always, get the tripple dipper! The chicken strips are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Cheeseburger sliders are also delicious and can keep the little ones fed while you wait for the main entrees. Don't forget to check your emails if you've signed up for their rewards- sometimes they have deals like $15 off $50...w/c I only checked after we got home. Chain restaurants can usually be a bit boring, one similar to the next. This one certainly has the decorations of a pseudo-Tex Mex Roadhouse, with many of the menu entrees that fit the genre. This one is pretty good at producing basic gringo Mexican food but their strength in my opinion is their hamburgers and steaks. "So why 2 stars", you ask? The food is superb as usual and absolutely delicious, BUT the main reason for this review is the A1 professional service they provide. I can't thank Chris and Quinten enough. Me in a Chili's? Well sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do! And when I found myself in this area in need of a sports bar that would have the hockey playoffs game on, everyone pointed me toward Chilis. Hmmm. . . . . .not what I would call a sports bar but if they had my game on, I was willing to make an exception! I called and got Chris ,the manager, on the phone who couldn't have been nicer, letting me know not only was the game on but if I was cheering for Chicago, one of his regular patrons would also be rooting for that team. After a few missed turns ( why doesn't my gps work in this area?) I finally pulled up and went inside. There was plenty of room at the bar and happy hour was just beginning! Plenty of tvs made viewing easy although know that all the games are on with no sound so you will listen to music versus feel the excitement of the game! Steve, bartender extraordinaire, and a genuinely great guy to have behind the bar, made me feel right at home with food and drink suggestions. He even went out of his way to charge my phone as it died on the way over. I'd come back to this bar just to spend time with him! The chips and salsa I ordered were fine although the regular guacamole was a little bland for my liking ( free refills on chips tho). Know that during happy hour- you get $2 off of appetizers and there are plenty of drink specials. The prices were reasonable, the service spot on and the local crowd welcomed me as if I had been on the island for life! It was the perfect choice to catch a game! Sometimes it's hit or miss over here: you can wait a long time for seating or either a long time after ordering to get your food. That being said, it's probably best to go when it isn't crowded. For the food: I do enjoy the chips and salsa. And the spinach dip is also my favorite. I also think that the triple dipper is a good deal and feeds both my husband and I. The drinks are also good and I appreciate how this location is close to home. This isn't somewhere I normally eat (Im almost always too broke for it lol) but when I do, I chow down! Located near the bottom of Makakilo's hill, this place is easy to spot. Maybe I was lucky each time, but I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table. The waitresses/waiters are nice, they get your order out to you as quickly as possible. I love that their sizzling platters come out actually sizzling..there are places that don't so that -cough-dennys-cough- I really enjoy this one more than Pearlridge's chili's. Hmm not impressed with a simple salad.. Time with the family and we ordered an appetizer, 2 entree's and a kids meal, and a margarita for mom (overdue!) Chips were stale..forgiveable. But my shrimp for my salad was straight up uncooked. If it were for 1-2 pieces I would not have made a deal. I asked my hubby for a second opinion since the lighting was tinted orange over our table. I couldn't tell but the shrimp tasted softer than normal... He took a nibble and immediately spat it out - "it's not cooked babe," he gave me a strong gaze as I have slight allergy issues with fish and some seafood.. I gulped down my margarita. At least the tequila would burn out any parasites, I hoped.. What ticked me off was when we notified our pleasant waitress, she said she'd involve her manager. The manager didn't even come by our table! And the irritating part was she brought back our check with an override for the keiki meal..mind you it was only for half the cost of my uncooked shrimp salad. I already had my wallet out to pay but my hubs took the receipt from my hands and knew I was about to flip a switch. At least have the decency to look at my plate! I'm sure the tequila kept my patience.. With coaxing from my hubs the male manager came by and heard us out. He agreed the shrimp was uncooked and offered weak reassurance "Yup that's uncooked all right, I'll let the kitchen know." We have been to a lot of Chili's restaurants and by far this is our favorite one. The service is second to none. The waitresses are all good. Very friendly!!! Really good atmosphere, very relaxing. The food is good also, I try something different every time I come here. I have yet to be disappointed. My favorite thing to get are the fajita trio with steak, chicken, shrimp.!! And you have to wash it down with a strawberry Presidente margarita..!! We never have to wait either, the whole experience is always a positive one!!!! Oh, and I know that it is seasonal, so you may not get to try it, but if it is available, you HAVE to try the Salted Carmel Lava Cake!!!! Holy cow, that thing is everything!!!! At 6:15pm this evening (05 May 20), I placed & paid for an order via Door Dash for Chili's (Kapolei restaurant on Farrington Hwy). It was a sizable order, at a $114 total after food, tip, taxes, fees. My Dasher contacted me a couple of times, letting me know there was a long wait, & doing a great job of keeping me updated. At 8:24pm, my Dasher finally called with the news that he had just spoken to a manager who informed all the Dashers they they weren't taking DD orders, and hadn't been for a couple of hours. But that I (the customer) had to cancel my order, bc this manager thinks he's too good to deign to actually have anything remotely resembling customer service. It is unfortunate that I do not have the name of this manager, but I sincerely hope this will be investigated from corporate level. Oh and of course, calling the restaurant was less than futile; I guess there were too many furious people calling for said manager to handle. Unprofessional, inconsiderate, completely unsatisfactory "service". (DD was great, got my money refunded, and responded professionally during the whole experience. Positives: The wait staff are very friendly It wasn't too crowded ( I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but it worked for us) Ample parking, but again, it wasn't crowded Our food came super fast. Salsa was great (wish it was chunkier though), loved the chips. Negatives: Quite pricey. I don't remember Chili's being so expensive. This review was headed on the path of being a one star, but customer service is why I bumped it up to three. We were told it would be around a 30 minute wait to be seated, so my husband told the hostess we'd be sitting in the bar. We were given a faulty pager. One and a half hours later, my husband asked what was taking so long, only to find out that they paged us and the manager tried calling our name by going outside of the restaurant. The hostess did not communicate we were at the bar. The manager was truly apologetic and got our table for us quickly. Our waiter, Kana, was top notch! He made us calm down and provided excellent service. The turkey guacamole burger was awesome to eat with a nice spice to bring out the flavor. Had a great lunch with the family @ Chili's Bar & Grill Kapolei. We were greeted by our server and he asked if we would like to start off with beverages & appetizers. We ordered our favorite Blackberry Ice Tea, Prime Rib fajitas, & Chicken Enchiladas. So delicious, and of course we had a second round of teas. Our server was awesome, prompt & courteous. We were impressed with the new technology of paying our bill with their new onscreen device, just swipe your cc/debit card, add tip, e sign, and voilà your paper receipt slides through! Just left chili's for a late dinner. My family of 3, myself, my boyfriend and our daughter went in at around 7:30 on a Sunday night for a late dinner. As soon as we walked through the doors, we were greeted by the hosts and we were informed there was no wait at all! We were excited and ready to eat, unfortunately the service went downhill from there. Looking around there was about 5 other tables at the time and we weren't greeted for another 20-30 minutes by our server, whose name I didn't even get. It was a blonde highlighted hair server who was serving table 51 at this time. After getting our drinks she came back around another 25 minutes later, took our order and she wasn't seen after that. I did order a lava flow and she didn't bother to ID me whatsoever, so I got a virgin drink and paid 9.99 for it. Other people had dropped off our food and by the time we were done eating she came by and I was paying on the kiosk. Poor service but great food. My wife and I have been pretty loyal customers to this restaurant for a while. We have been ordering takeout through the app frequently, spending quite a bit each time. Over the last 6 months or so, our orders are being delivered incomplete. Missing multiple drinks, whole meals, everything. I don't know what's happening, but their quality checkers need to thoroughly look through the orders before sending them out. They're not doing their jobs at all, and at this point I'd rather drive myself to another location who will do the job right. read more

This location. Not the first time I had problems. First time we ended up paying for the wrong bill and it took 4 days to get that charge back and for them to charge the right amount. Smh. Today, we got ribs, spinach queso, and regular queso. The ribs were fabu. Like seriously. The meat was soft and easily fell of the bone. The queso... The chips were literally cooked in bunches, half assed. Excuse my French but they were literally bunched together like huge chunks of tortillas but crunchy-ish. Disappointed. But meh, queso was great. The sweet corn was great. The customer service: Tawney was happy go lucky at first and we enjoyed her service. we ordered the coconut state of mind, which she recommended. She said it was sweet and everyone loves it. It tasted like li hing mui gone bad with lime mixed in it. Sweet? Nah. Loved? Not really. We asked if we could return it and she hesitated before taking it back. After this she became a ghost and came by ONCE to fill my water (oh and bringing us our food). She didn't come back to our table at all! Even when we were leaving (paid bill on the machine on the table), she passed us without any acknowledgement. I'm sorry, but things happen. There will be items that customers will not like, does this really mean ghost them and not give them the 110% customer service they should be getting? I think not. Ordered take out via Door dash at 6:22pm. Received my order confirmation and received some text updates that my "dasher" was at Chilies to pick up my food. 45 minutes later, I get a message from the dasher saying that Chilies was crazy busy. Ok. No problem. Another hour and still nothing. The dasher asked about my order and was told that they weren't making any more orders submitted after 6pm! Even though my order was "confirmed". After being completely ignored by any server tonight at the Waikele location (we were seated and no one came to our table), after 15 minutes of waiting for our server we got up and left and went to Chili's in Kapolei! Boy, am I glad we decided to leave Waikele! We had the BEST service ever dining at the Kapolei Chili's! Food was great! Manager came to our table to see how everything was. Our waitress was on her game! Our drinks were never empty. Our appetizer came out first and as soon as we finished that, our main course came out. She came over to make sure our food was right.
