We got sandwiches for our flight home yesterday. We liked the convenience of being able to place our order online before they opened. The sandwiches were ready when we got there and the order was correct and included everything we needed (you'd be surprised at how many places don't pack napkins... or extra napkins) to enjoy our food on the plane. The restaurant was clean and spacious with plenty of parking. I got a classic Italian and my partner ordered the turkey. He said he prefers slices but I liked knowing the meat was real, not processed. The Italian sub was great, though I missed not having oil and vinegar (my choice since I didn't want it getting soggy on the 5-hour flight home. Honestly though the sandwich was flavorful enough without condiments. The bread was soft but held up against all the meat. The meat-to-produce ratio was appropriate (more meat than lettuce) and the lettuce/tomato/cheese were layered correctly so the cheese didn't melt. I got a small which was enough for 2 meals and a snack. Capriotti's menu has a nice variety of sandwiches with emphasis on the hot. First time here today. We had the original cheese steak n capastrami, both med size with comb. Came with fries n drinks or you can get chips. The place is clean n spacious. Tv screen to watch. Parking is good n lots. The guy has great customer service and very polite and friendly. For the food now, when we saw the medium sandwich unwrapped, I'm looking at the with woow n she had a surprise look too. Bigger than subways for sure. Nice fat juicy sandwich that has great taste n flavor. Fries are greatness crispy crunch. You might think it's expensive but really it's not. My online order is always ready super fast and the sandwiches are huge, even the small is big enough for my husband and I to share. They're super generous with the fillings too. Had an offer for a free sandwich and decided to take them up on it. Went there before lunch (surprised that they opened at 9am). The offer involved using a mobile phone and their app. I'm an old fart that happens to be a techno idiot. The cashier was so sweet and patient. But my partner said he would figure it out because there was a woman in line behind me. He did have to ask questions of the cashier before we got it right. I took my sandwich to go, and when I opened it up, I honestly thought they forgot the top slice of bread. This new sandwich shop just opened up by the old Kapolei theater and I gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with the food but the service was great! Ordered an American Wagyu French Dip small size(10in) which is "Prime Grade Wagyu Beef from Snake River Farms topped with melted Swiss cheese, mayo, and a dash of black pepper. Served with a side of hot Au Jus sauce for dipping". The wagyu beef tasted like regular beef, barely had any mayo or seasoning, must've been the "dash of pepper" that lacked seasoning. The au jus sauce was super bland like watered down gravy soup. It didn't add any flavor to the sandwich except make it soggy. It just wasn't the hype that I've been hearing. The prices did not match the portion and quality. $18 for a small sandwich. The service on the other hand, the tall boy at the counter was very nice! So glad that Capriottis finally opened up in my area! I believe it was their grand opening week and it definitely showed in how busy they were. I had no clue what to get, thankfully this lady ahead of me has had their sandwiches before and recommended me her favorites. She mentioned their Philly Cheesesteak and their Capistrami was delicious so I went with the Capistrami. I'm excited that they decided to open a shop here in Kapolei. I only had went to the Kahala location and each time it was amazing. Nothing falls short at the Kapolei location either. So our first experience was sub par. The location was busy and they had a lot of workers making sandwiches but just 2 registers to take orders. We came by around 2:30 pm on Saturday. The line to order moved quickly but we waited about 10 minutes for our food. They had already run out of several Meats. The prices are steep imo but you do get a nice size sandwiche with a good amount of meat. I was excited to try the BOB but disappointed after eating it. They put the cranberry sauce on the bottom which caused the bread to be soggy. The turkey was dry and hard. The stuffing was good. My daughter enjoyed her salad but needed an extra dressing that cost .50 for a tiny cup. The "loaded" fries were a joke, as you can see in the photo. The wagyu meat was delicious and the only thing worth the price imo but I would not call this "loaded" by any means. My husband wanted a pastrami sandwiche but they ran out so he got a chicken bacon ranch instead. The bacon was super oily. The sandwiches are good out of the box, and even better right after they're made. The only two things for me about the in-person experience was that the tables and chairs could be wiped clean, or have wipes for customers to wipe down surfaces themselves.
