Chilis in general has always just been "okay", and the Livermore location is no exception. But after my latest to go order I won't be back. First of all it wasn't ready or even started to be put together at the time it was supposed to be; I even arrived slightly late and the staff seemed to have no idea what I was there for. They weren't friendly at all btw, making me feel like I was in the way just for picking up something I paid (and tipped) for. I finally got my order and got home and the first issue there was that all of the food was cold. Mind you I live nearby so that wasn't the problem and I've had hot food from them before. It seemed like it had been just sitting out which makes me wonder how my order wasn't ready. They forgot part of my order that I also paid for. But the biggest issue was that AS I was eating my salad I found a 5 or 6 inch long black curly hair that unfortunately I found because it was in my mouth already. So disgusting. I work in food service and this would be unacceptable at my place. Overall though the biggest issue is that when I called my call for a manager was left on hold. I emailed corporate and two days later I haven't heard a thing. I paid nearly $50 for in inedible meal and didn't have time to drive back. The least they could have done was to acknowledge my issues but they didn't even do that. There are so many other options in this area, I won't be coming back here. read more

If I could give a NEGATIVE -100 I would, even giving this place 1 star kills me. My friend and I go into the lounge area on Sunday mornings right at 10am to watch the Minnesota Viking games because either of us have Direct TV the NFL station, so we are at the mercy of the local lounges in our area. We loved Chili's because its not rowdy, not a bunch of drinking goes on there, we just want to sit and watch a NFL game. Usual bartender on Sunday's is very nice as upon arrival we ask if we can have the one TV by the window away from the main bar as we just want to watch game and have coffee. This Sunday this girl (not woman) was there and I politely asked if she could change the TV to the Vikings game, she looked at me with the nastiest look, said NOTHING, and kept on with a drink order. I thought to myself ok she is in the middle of making a drink, totally get it, then we waited for her to make the next drink and then the next, all the while she made eye contact with me knowing that we wanted help and maybe something to drink whether it be coffee, soda, what have you... there was only literally 3 other people there all seated at the bar area, we were at a table near the actual bar. After being ignored my friend said, "HOW RUDE!!! LET'S GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, WHAT A BITCH!", yeah we said it because she WAS and still IS. I will never give these jerks my money for damn coke, coffee, app, or whatever. This "girl" is bartending and she was maybe all of 21 as she at least had to be that to be legal. But this young thing thinks she is that hot of a piece of sh*t to think she can't treat people like that, like she really made her mark in this world being a crappy bartender. Big whoop, you serve drinks but you are not allowed to treat people and potential customers like a piece of sh*t under your shoe! How this place stays in business between the crappy service, over priced food, and drinks is beyond me. But we won't continue to be suckers, that is for sure! read more

This place is hit or miss. That goes for all Chili's. But I'm 99% sure it was THIS Chili's that put RAW BACON on my black bean (vegetarian) burger. Thank God I lifted up the bun to put ketchup on or else I wouldn't have discovered it! I don't know if it was a mistake or a prank, but it wasn't funny. That aside, the black bean burger ain't half bad. And I love their molten chocolate cake. That stuff is the bomb! Margaritas and other specialty drinks ain't bad. Bad experience at this restaurant. we frequently grab a late meal at bars and grills in the area. My wife and I arrived at the Livermore Chili's bar area at 8:30pm. The Bar was mostly empty. Several tables were not bused from previous customers. One of these tables was our favorite spot in the Bar. We waited for help so we could sit. The Bartender/Waitress wanted us to sit at one of the open tables, snarled at us, and dashed back behind the Bar to help customers. We, in turn, dashed to another restaurant. I used to come to this Chilis every now and then. The food was alright and the service was always good. Up until my last visit I had went with my boyfriend for dinner and that was the last time I ever came back to any Chilis ever. I had ordered the Chicken Crispers plate. The corn was over seasoned, it was SUPER salty. The chicken was a little soggy but I figured it was just the tempura batter they fry it in. I realized there was also something in my water so I had told our waiter. She was super apologetic and her service was superb, so I figured it wasn't really a big deal to complain about the food cus I was whatever about it all. And my boyfriend decided to order a side because he felt bad about my food turning out the way it did. So he ordered some of the Mac and Cheese with the jalapeños in it. And of course I wasn't fond of it either. Everything in it was just overpowering and I was pretty over it at that point. Later on, I had woke up in the middle of the night with food poisoning. It was the worst thing ever and I was deciding whether I should call them the next day to let them know but how do you handle those situations? I can't really prove their food was exactly what gave me poisoning but I'm pretty sure that's what it was. It took me about 2 days to recover from it and ever since I stayed far away from Chilis. Family dinner - Shared chicken fajita and bacon burger with wife. Had a Texas cheese fries for appetizer. We gave 3.5 stars for the burger, 3 stars for the fajita and 4 stars for the Texas cheese fries. Kids had mac and cheese and pepperoni pizza. Kids gave 5 stars for their meals. Speed of service was slow. Then again it's Friday. Overall service was fair. Value of food is excellent... Going with the lowest solid score, I would give today's experience 3 stars read more

The only reason I give it 2 instead of 1 is that the baby-back ribs were good, & the hostesses are good. But the waitress was overwhelmed with a large table and several more of us. So she was too busy to really pay attention, and only showed up with a smile and the bill at the end. Once we got our drinks we had to flag down a hostess to get the next order, although we had put the empties on the edge of the table for 5 minutes. That is probably a scheduling problem not hers. "Lurch" from the kitchen or bar was a whole other story. He had the personality of a troll. Lousy, no smile, attitude. and when he brought the wrong cup of chili (he brought enchilada) and had to return with the right one he just set it on the edge of the table and stormed off without even asking who it was for. Then we made the fateful error of asking for the setup (Napkins and silverware). He grabbed a handful and with the same cheery disposition just dumped them on the edge of the table. The chili was not nearly as good as it used to be. Fancier presentation, but over cooked and charred. And the burger was alright. The hostesses tried to help, as I guess they saw how "smiley Lurch" was doing. But they were busy. We had eaten here for a number of years, but left about 5 years ago because of abrupt, rude service. The service and the food were outstanding. The only issue I have was we were once again seated at a booth with a huge rip in the seat. This has happened before and not only did it look terrible, it was uncomfortable. At least tape it up until a repair has been made. read more

The service received at this restraint was subpar. Took longer than it should have for basic things like soft drink refills and we hardly saw our waitress once our food was received. We had to ask other passing waitresses for assistance for refills, and a to-go box. After paying part of the bill with a gift card and the rest cash some young kid came running up yelling about not paying our bill when we left cash in the waitresses hand and she walked off. Entirely unprofessional. It should be noted that the place was nearly dead as the visit was not during the peak hours. Consider another location if you're looking for quality service and/or a different restaurant as a whole. read more

When I lived in Livermore I used to frequent this location often. I was in the area yesterday and decided to drop in for a bite to eat. I remember this place usually being pretty busy, even on week nights. So I was surprised to see the place pretty much empty. What surprised me even more, was the slow service that came with the empty restaurant. Took over an hour to get my food. We had a party of 5, everyones food came out correct with no issues, hence the 2 stars, but EVERYONE'S food was cold! I mean come on now, there was like 5 parties in the entire restaurant, very SLOW service and COLD food is just unacceptable in any situation, but even worse when its that slow. Just goes to show that they don't really care much on customer service or quality of there product. read more

I came here with my mother taking her out to dinner. Paid almost 90 dollars for burnt tasteless food. Preferred steak and ribs. Took about an hour for my order to come out just for my steak to be tough and dry ! The ribs were worse! Tasteless and burnt! No mean on the bone whatsoever! The appetizer was alright. Had a trainee server who was nice but didn't check up on us at all. Had to ask for my water to be refilled constantly. Every time I come in my food is always burned or flavorless! Chicken crispers, chicken crispers. I love me some chicken crispers! The past few times I've come here, I've ordered the triple dipper appetizer thingie, where you can choose 3 appetizers. Kind of like a sampler platter. I'll order the chicken crispers, potato skins and boneless buffalo wings. All are very yummy. And for $10 or whatever the price is, you get a decent amount on your plate. I always end up taking some home. The service is fine. We're usually seated right away and our server pays attention to us and gets us what we need. Nothing special. I did use the restroom on my last visit and my stall didn't have any toilet paper, which is why I knocked off a star. read more

We absolutely love this place for 2 reasons. One, it's kid friendly, and two, our server for our most recent 3 trips has been Michael, who is just about the best server ever. We eat out frequently, but I can not sing this guy's praises enough. He is the reason we return. He is so on the ball, our drinks are never empty, he always bring extra napkins if the kids are with us, and he's obviously a hard worker. He takes the time to relate on a more personal level, sharing stories about his babies, and it's just an all around pleasant experience when he is our server. I'm a long time Livermore resident. For some reason I have always went to Applebee and not Chili's. On my last two dinner outings I decided to go to Chili's instead. I was very pleasantly surprised by my visits. Service was very attentive, food was tasty and the atmosphere was good. The wait to be seated and to get the food out was a little slow but the waiters I had more then made up for the difference. They made sure we were ok, kept the drinks full, and checked in on use to let us know the food was on its way and they hadn't forgot about us. read more

This review is specifically for the ToGo at Chili's Livermore. They have never gotten my order right and I have repeatedly ordered from them because my kids like the food. Whether it's the missing fries, the non-existent cheese or the ketchup and mustard when I ordered plain it's beyond unacceptable. Happened again tonight ( no rice or beans on 2 orders ) and ya go back and all you get is a hollow apology...and cold food when I arrive home after the 2nd run back there for those rice and beans. I usually go through each container while I'm there ( because I ALWAYS have this problem ) but sent someone for me tonight and that's what I get...painful! read more

Dinner tonight - it was busy but started thinning out by the time we got our table. Very slow, server was never around, food came out and the empty chips/queso wasn't removed, we'd asked for an extra plate to split a salad but that didn't come out and also for side ranch which did not show up either. Tried to find the server - ended up asking another server where our server was. She came out, reminded her of what we were to get, she brings out two little containers of ranch on a tiny plate and walked away - no salad plate. Chased her down again and finally we got the plate. Time frame - everyone's food was up, halfway through eating before that salad plate ever arrived. She did not check back on us to see how things were, if we needed anything. Our bill, for seven people, was not cheap. Not happy to have this type of experience with that type of expense. Not so sure we'll be back ever. read more

Chili's in Livermore? Ok, not that quaint but a great place for the family. First about service: Probably the best I've seen in this town. Staff very attentive. I'd have to say I believe they love what they do. Walked in and hostess seated us immediately (after first visiting the table and child proffing it with high chairs, moving stuff out of way of grabby hands, etc.) Our waiter anticiipated every need before it arose. Extra napkins since we have 2 under the age of 2? He had them at our table within 30 secs of sitting down without being asked. Appetizer is going to take a few mins longe than expected, so Waiter brings crackers for babies, again without being asked. Do you have kids? This is royal treatment for parents! Hot plates, glasses, you name it, all placed strategically out of the way of little hands. Food: Not mexican, not american, it's Chili's. wouldn't say it's genius, but its your average "good". Had the cajun steak that could have come from Appleby's, Red Robin or some other strip mall restaurant....however: Food plus atmosphere plus service make it an overall great value. I recently made a order to go from this establishment for 2 for $20. I was set to pick up my order at 7:15pm. My order wasn't "ready" until 7:35pm. The hostess in front was rude, she didn't smile, greet me properly, and overall unprofessional. When I finally did get my order and home, we noticed a few key items missing. For one, the burger I ordered only came with the burger. No fries. and secondly... My food was cold. I live less than 5 minutes away from Chilies. I had to microwave my whole order. Now that I'm posting this the day after, I still feeling sick from after I ate my meal. To summarize what I've experienced, DONT go to this Chili's they're awful. Worse customer service.... missing food from order, and the worse to come... ice cold food on a ordered pickup. read more
