I work for DoorDash and this place never has their act together. 30 minute wait times past expected times. Time is money for us too.

So sad to see how this place has deteriorated. Our salads were brown and wilted, the chicken crispers were flat and small and they've changed them to a cheap frozen tasting brand - no longer the yummy crispy ones we're used to. They were so nasty that I only ate one. Two waiters ran around taking care of everyone while another one stood at a table and visited with her two friends the entire time we were there and only waited on them. The bar drinks were good but we didn't get them until after the food and had to ask for them twice. Very disappointed because we used to love this place. read more

So since covid they had a hard time staffing I get it. Things are hard. How went went last-night 6-2-22 at 9:00 to a slow Resturant. We're promptly greeted sat drinks came out. All was looking good. Then waiter comes and takes orders, delivered two of the wrong orders, never brought sides, we asked for a high chair multiple times never brought that. Took orders back and forgot to put in correct ones. I have been in the food industry as a server and the incompetence this new workforce has is sad. Just left here, very disappointed!! This place has gone down hill big time. COLD broccoli and mashed potatoes, Dry chicken, and my Texas toast was over sprinkled with a bbq rub and was HORRIBLY dry and old , it used to be pretty decent. Today I ordered at 6:35pm and I didn't get the food until 7:50pm and all other people too. Jesus, the girl named Emma even said "the cook threw our ticket away" and said will be ready in 10 mins (it was around 7:30pm). We came back at 7:45pm, order still not ready, the Asian girl started smirking and said that the ticket was still there never threw away, such a joke, so the other Emma girl lied to us? inside there restaurant only 2 tables and the kitchen is a huge mess. Tonight we unfortunately had a terrible experience at this Chili's. We have been long time customers for years, but things have really gone downhill with quality. My salad had black and brown wilted lettuce, the chicken wasn't not even grilled, it was barely cooked and almost raw - maybe microwaved. It was just awful. Then we saw the ants crawling along the window at our table. By this time it was just too late. Our server, although really sweet had not checked on us since the food came and we had paid for our food and let her know about it and had to leave. I have no idea why this Chilis only has 2 1/2 stars. I come here at least 3-4 times a month. I have never had a bad experience here when it comes to service, food quality, cleanliness, etc. I've been coming here a lot more frequently since they added the 6 oz sirloin to the 3 for $10 menu. How can you go wrong with all the food you get for only $10 bucks?! You get a 6 oz sirloin cooked to your liking, 2 sides, soup or salad, and a non-alcoholic beverage. Much better option for you for the price than fast food. Please judge this Chilis for yourself, you'll be pleasantly surprised, or maybe just that's just my personal opinion. read more

I had previous great experiences at this Chilis but the reason for my 2 stars is the bartender Melissa cut me off after ordering 5 beers (coors light) and a single shot which I sipped for an hour at least. Granted this was over an 3 hour period. Dinner included! Was I drunk? Nope... was I loud.. nope.. literally no reason besides, "the beer size you ordered is considered 2 drinks".. uhh so you upsell me on the bigger beer and try to upsell me on getting a double shot for an extra .75 and I declined so I get cut off? Everyone around me was confused by the situation and decided to leave as well because she ended up cutting off another person who literally showed up an hour prior to being cut off and had 3 805's. Long story short I won't be back.. she cut my night short and made my friends and I feel so awkward after the fact cuz there was genuinely no reason for her actions. Let me tell you the story of Ronita. We came here for dinner before Captain America, and forgot it was prom night. Even with over 100 people and teenagers ordering, I felt like my service was absolutely impeccable. And this is Chili's for crying out loud!!! Our server, the lovely Ronita, never passed by us without checking in on us, filling cups, or giving news on our food progress in the kitchen. We waited a full 12 minutes for our food. On a Friday night! This was service I would expect with a hundred-dollar bill! The food was pleasing, but nothing over the top. I always love the fajitas, and the carnitas and shrimp were flavorful. We just went this week party of 9. The service was quick with appetizers and drinks. Very attentive and friendly. I ordered the Long Island iced tea and it was tasty. We got our fajitas 2 for $25 about 20 minutes later than everyone else's entrees and I was approached by the manager on shift if we were the table that got our fajitas late. I told her yes and didn't really say much, it's the holidays. She apologized and offered to comp that meal! That was super amazing and it was the right thing to do. There is a reason why I hate chain restaurants.....and it's usually the crappy prepared food & lame service! Lodi does not disappoint in both of those departments. So, if you sit at the bar and this Bartender named Christina is your server. Just leave. She sucks! Unless you are a dirty middle aged man or at the retirement age. She will take care of you....and then some. It's funny when you actually watch a bartender ignore you and the friend that you are with. It made for a comical night to say the least. Here is my problem Christina: 1. You only pay attention to sauseeeeeege. aka men. 2. Don't give a menu to someone and then never ask them if they want to order. 3. Don't ever make a patron have to interrupt you doing nothing to order. And please don't question me when I tell you that your service is crappy. Because it is. And that is a fact. 3. Don't ignore the stares or comments from your patrons that aren't male. 4. Stop yelling in the bar at patrons and co-workers. 5. Actually do your job and take drink & food orders. Whether the conversation you are having is more important or the lame game that the guys are playing with their cell phones etc etc etc....can we say priorities? I'm a much better tipper then those guys. After all, they all hit on my friend and myself. You aren't that special. Here is what made me happy Christina: 1. You make good Long Islands. 2. Look, overall Chili's is a great place to visit. But just like every other restaurant, you can have a bad experience once in a while. The servers are people, sometimes mistakes happen, but I guarantee that no other restaurant will be more dedicated to making their customers happy. A couple of tips to make sure your trip is one of the more successful ones? 1) Don't be rude. Servers are more likely to give you better service if they actually like you. More likely to feel bad if something goes wrong and more likely to get a manager involved to take care of you. 2) If, on the off chance, something does go wrong? Tell your server before you leave. Give them a chance to correct their mistake before hiding behind social media and corporate reviews to get them into trouble for something they probably didn't even realize happened. That's not to say you shouldn't complain. If someone is being unprofessional or your experience was truly awful, definitely fill out a survey and let the corporate office know. But if your food was cold or on a busy night you weren't getting as many refills as you would like? Ask to talk to the manager. You're more likely to get a comp off of your bill and a desert on the house. Just saying. 3) State everything you want when you're placing your order. If you guys are on a time crunch, let your server know so they can rush your food. Ask them about meals that cook quicker so you can cut down your wait time. And if you know you're going to need a side of ranch with your fries, ask when you're placing your order. That way you're more likely to get it with your meal, and your server has more time to give you good service because they aren't running back and forth trying to retrieve the endless amounts of condiments you forgot to order with your meal. 4) If your server is nowhere to be found, stop another person and ask for what you need. Restaurants are all about team service. They want to keep their restaurant looking good as a whole to keep you coming back. That's how they make their money. So don't be afraid to speak up and ask for what you need. After all, they are here for your dining experience. If you stick by these four rules while dining out, I guarantee you're going to have a better experience not only at Chilis, but probably at almost any restaurant out there. read more

Ok. WTF first brought family and judging by the 45 min wait and crowd of people waiting thought it would be great. First off told initial wait was only 15 minutes and it took 45 minutes to get seated saw two groups go ahead and question why. He's tailgating our waitress who screwed up our order, but she's trying her best. When the training manager talks to her, he looks like a jerk. When he talks to us he looks like a smiling jerk. I guess if you come to Chili's you already know what to expect--mid-range greasy chain food. I'll admit, it's fun. That's why I come back every so often. We came here after an afternoon of Spelunking at Moaning Cavern. It was a safe choice. Something new I saw on the menu--blueberry and strawberry iced tea. Yum. Upon our refills, they poured us iced tea and left us the flavored syrup in dipping cups. Ghetto. And sure enough, just before they bring out the check, "Would you like me to take those plates for you?" Well on their way to $100 a night tips. We were sat @ 6:15, the waiter did not take our drink order until 6:35 after that we waited and waited finally we asked a server walking by for the manager so about 5 min later the manager came with our drinks which were wrong. The manager just apologized and offered us free caso dip and assigned us a new waitress. We ordered appetizers which they forgot half of then at 7:20 our food finally arrived well half of our food. I was very disappointed with service today. Waited about an hour and ten min for our food. As I was placing my son's food on the table I dropped his corn kernels on the floor and the guy was supposed to tell our waitress to replace it but my son never received his kernels so I don't know what happened with that. I ordered Mango Tilapia but I got Mango Chicken. I gave it back and asked to take my food off the bill politely. I just didn't want to wait any longer. Long story short after all the explanations why my food was messed up and my son's corn kernels was never received... it was a poor experience. We swore off Chili's in Lodi several years ago. However, we recently had to go there for a family members "Birthday" celebration. It was the "Birthday Boy's" choice of location. We called ahead for a table that would hold 10 people. We knew that they have a "no reservations" policy but they try to accommodate you if you let them know. We arrived at 7:00 and were told they had one table and they were just waiting for the adjacent table to open up...it would only be a few minutes. At 7:35, we asked for another table with one close for the overflow. 7:40 we finally sat down. 7:50 our server came to take our drink and appetizer order. 8:10 our drinks showed up. 8:15 she came back for our order. It was 8:45 before the food started coming and almost 9:00 before it was all there. Three tables of 4 guests had come in while we sat there and they all had their food before we began to receive ours. 9:20 the bill came with an 18% tip figured in advance. For mediocre food (at best) and that service...never again. By the way, they are remodeling the place. All the "Chili's" identification is gone from the walls and it looks just like any cafeteria now. They told us that they were going to put up Flat Screen TVs in the restaurant area. I can go to Farmer Boys,Wendys ,Apple Bees, Cococs basically any where but Chilis and get All Romaine lettuce substitute for a mixed greens salad. You can not get the manager Toni to accommodate my needs (Allergic to Spinach and most mixed greens. ) salad with my meal. I was told they are too busy. I asked well do you put mixed greens on your hamburgers? Toni said no we put leafy green lettuce ...Well thats ROMAINE Lettuce you can not use that lettuce to make a salad for me. NOPE I would have to pick through the mixed greens she stated. Who wants food that has to be picked through and not get all the crap out of it? Really ?? We go to this Chili's pretty often and due to COVID expect our wait and dining time to be a little longer than usual, but tonight we sat down and watched other tables that were seated after us get their same appetizer that we ordered before we did.... i also witnessed them order after us as well. Once our appetizer and food made it to our table, might i add that they came back to back with only a couple minutes between them, the texas cheese fries had cheese on them that were rock hard as if it had been sitting for a while and our cajun chicken and shrimp pasta was super dry and we had to ask for extra sauce. Then i was so fed up with our experience so i asked to talk to a manager and he had said he would comp our entire meal right off the bat so i was like okay cool whatever.... i took my 3 month old to the car because he was fussy while my fiancé waited at the table to pay or figure out the bill situation..... come to find out once i left the manager didn't comp anything and my fiancé paid full price for EVERYTHING! COVID or not this is shitty customer service and we will not be back! Last review was a year and a half ago. Place has not improved. I guess they just don't care. I ordered the chicken enchiladas again with no salsa/cilantro. Came with cilantro. Should have read the other 1 star reviews of this terrible location. Went in for dinner on a Wednesday night and had quite possibly the worst service EVER. Went in and got our appetizer right away but after that...we waited for an hour and a half for our food. Waiting and all I mean that's semi tolerable but to receive cold food after that??! The food was disgusting and the waitress didn't even show up for another 15 min after that. Thank goodness for their little charging machine things otherwise we wouldn't have gotten the Bill for another 10-15 min....the worst part? IT WASNT EVEN BUSY.
