One of my first outings since surgery was tonight . We went to chili's in Lodi. What an experience this was as I started to feel Ill I attempted to leave the restaurant to get some fresh air alone on crutches. I make it to the exit doors And there were two young men employees at the doors neither of them offered to help as I struggled with the door and my crutches the door slams on my hip! Yep the one that I just had surgery on yep the one that is the reason I am on crutches! As I almost fall another patron young male offers to help me. I want to say thank you this young man I would love to thank your mother for raising you properly. This young man was there with I assume his Girl friend and her family. The girl friend was in a LHS cheer outfit. I wish I knew who you were to thank you. The young men really boys at the front desk you should be ashamed of yourself! So, I'm a usual here, I find myself coming to this chilis in particular, but on this day what I saw made me sick. As I was going to the the restroom a supposed cook by the name Eddie I think, was coughing profusely and on his way to the kitchen.... For all the unpleasantness we went through at the Lodi store and the resulting letter writing campaign I endeavored, Chili's corporate compensated us with $30 of gift certificates. Wow! We can both indulge in an appetizer for dinner and splurge on a lemonade for dessert. They've got to be kidding me. Always like going here. Food was awesome and our server Aubrey was great. She was very attentive, sweet and gracious. We had a little problem and she fix it without question. Very happy we went. The server my girlfriend and I had at Chili's was wonderful. If you have Eddie consider yourself lucky. He was very friendly and made great conversation. However the food at Chili's has gone down hill. My burger had little to no flavor and was burnt on the outside edges. The lettuce on the burger also looked like shredded lettuce you can buy at Walmart...not impressed. The fries were tasty though, along with queso and chip we had. The dessert cookie was good as well. We went to Chili's for drinks, appetizers and to watch the All Star game on one of their many TVs. Prior to ordering we noticed several TVs had the news on and the others had something other than the All Star game, so we asked if the tv could be changed to the game. The waiter let us know that it would be no problem so we ordered drinks. Several minutes passed and still no game. Second waitress came to the table and we asked again. She said only the bartender can change the tv and they had already asked. We continued to wait and wait ... we paid for the drinks and left to eat and watch the game elsewhere. read more

Horrible service and actually rude manger! they discriminated against my child by practically telling us to leave because my kid was being "too loud" and disturbing another table. Let me tell you, my child was simply eating his food and watching netflix and yes he would get excited and laugh and the only reason it sounded loud was because they can only seat about 10 tables inside at a time. After this horrible encounter I refuse to go back and i encourage everyone who has a child to watch out because they do not like to hear a kid laugh or even talk. this is a shitty place with shitty food. over the years they have became so much worse at cooking. Service was ok, food was really good. I'm rating 3 stars because I feel like every time I eat at thid Chilis location or Elk Grove location the service is sloooow. There were not that many people and it took 45 min to get our food. The waitress seemed like she had too many tables to take care of, but she tried her best to make sure our drinks were re-filled. I live their Queso dip and quesadilla explosion salad. My dad had chicken crispers which were excellent and my daughter loved her cheese pizza. They have renovated this location and it is nice and clean. Just need to improve the service time. read more

The food is always good but holy shit the customer service is beyond slow. Every single time. Currently waiting 15 minutes still for my drink refill. She hasn't come to check on us. Tried Chili's again but this will be the last time. We had the ribs and they were so dried out that the meat crackled like bacon, in fact. I've had bacon that was more moist than these ribs. I've been to this location a few times and it's definitely a hot spot for local dinning because they were busy. The food has been good and the drinks are strong. We love to start out with their chips and salsa. The chips are super light, crisp and airy. The salsa is very good and fresh. I love to order a top shelf Long Island here because they make them perfectly! I recommend getting their steak fajitas, street corn on the cob and a side salad with their honey mustard (which is soooooooo good!) read more

My mom and I went to grab dinner tonight. We had suspicions before hand since they had to clean off a table even though there were plenty available. Secondly are waitress took 10 minutes to give us are drinks, then another 5 minutes for our chips and salsa. Then when it came time to get out entrees it took 20 minutes to get there just to have mine be ready and my mom's to be cold. This is place by far has the worse service I've ever experienced. I took my friend here as we were hungry and in the area. I have not had a problem before and expected the usual meal. Well, this place was not very clean, I can expect a little of that because you don't want some big industrial vacuum going off while you are trying to enjoy a meal and spend time in conversation. I had a skillet dish and the handle is covered in an oven mitt so it will be easy to handle. The mitt was crusty from some old food. There were all kinds of bits of food and napkins on the floor. Less than a week after the experience, I wrote a letter to the manager with my address as well as my phone number. Not once did I get a call or a letter to indicate that they would correct this. Last night I went to Chilis for a free meal offered after an employee used foul language and was very rude to myself and other customers the last time I had gone. I figured they simply weren't behaving well but as a company it's not what they want to see happen. So we arrived last night and put out name in for a table of three adults and two kids and were told the wait would be less than 20 minutes. At 35 minutes we were told we would need to wait another ten minutes and at 45 minutes it became twenty more minutes. So I asked to speak to the manager and she said they made a mistake and had twice given our table away. Yes that's correct twice. So with that she offered to cover our meal for last night and to come again for another free meal. Then proceeded to say it would be about 20 minutes until we could be seated and that the kitchen was running behind so it would be about 45 minutes for food. So with that I said we would just be heading somewhere else. The whole thing was being ran so poorly that four other groups turned in their pagers and walked out as well. The only highlight was the kind manager although it was her kindness that wasn't motivating the employees as well. read more

Was there with my girlfriend 2 days ago. I asked for the 10oz steak sirloin (med) and when It got to my table it was fucking gray, white and burned.. Chewy like it had bones in it.. Like my waitress didn't look at my plate when she took or brought it to me??.. I got a different waiter to take it back and get me a new one (much appreciated) besides the fact when my waitress brought back one that was worse and had looked like a gross white/ brown Freddy Kruegers face. (I swear on my life).. (Freezer burn obviously, and elementary school educated chefs) My girlfriends salad was bad too.. The best part was the soda and the manager apologizing at the end.. Attention General Manager or VP: I visited this establishment whilst I was visiting friends in Stockton. The restaurant was very pleasant; our server was very very good. However, I'm taking note of the manager; she was not only friendly, outgoing, and had a jovial disposition; her welcoming and superb customer focus is what caught my attention. I too am in a customer service oriented business with telecommunications and I too appreciate when customers are aware of superb service and willing to praise an employee for service beyond the norm. Please recognize Maggie for her outstanding customer service and with hopefully employer incentive rewards. The restaurant is usually clean, and the food is so so, but I was very rudely treated by the management at our last visit. I am allergic to some seasonings, so I always try to order the most basic thing that can be made plain easily- fajitas, it's just meat and sautéed peppers and onions. The last three times I had tried to eat at that chillis I had a reaction from seasoning still being on the food, and the manager said to always ask to speak to the manager before placing my order so it won't happen again. So that is what I did, when I explained this to the manager, she sighed and said "I hope you realize that I going to have to go back there and cook this myself", and stomped off. Umm, I'm sorry? I want to order take out and asked for extra pickles, they wanted to charge me $.50, I said no. I think this is incredibly cheap and nickel and diming, I have asked for them and got them many, many times. I have been a loyal customer for over 13 years but this ended my relationship with this restaurant. If they plan on being this disrespectful to a loyal customer, why would I give them any business. We went for my dad's birthday and our waitress failed to ask for refills for our drinks, forget items from our orders and completely get our orders wrong. Stopped by late afternoon, headed straight to bar. One guy eating nachos, another lady with quesadillas and a threesome just drinking. I took this all in cause it was 3 or 4 minutes before bartender made an appearance. She asked, "what could I get you to drink?" Hmmm, could I get a menu? OK, I order a beer. Later I order the chips with salsa. The chips were thin and hot - awesome! The salsa- plain and tasteless, like you would buy at Costco by the gallon. Khristina was amazing! She was super sweet, polite and on the ball. I know some people may say this is expected but I have NOT seen this kind of service in a very long time. In my opinion she went above and beyond what is regularly expected. She was serving a decent amount of tables and cleaning while staying on top of the ball and positive. Again, I'm you may say "this is expected" but no! It had looked like a damn tornado hit and she was still so very kind and pleasant even near the end of the day. My dh and I went here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the "lounge" because there were clean tables there; we wanted to sit in the dining room so had to wait a few minutes for someone to bus one of the multiple vacant, yet dirty tables. We ordered lunch combos which consist of a small entree, soup or salad and fries; he had the little burgers and I ordered the two tacos. I also ordered hot tea because the room was very cold. I got baked potato soup as part of my combo; it was very thick and cheesy--the best part of our visit. The dh had the salad which had a frozen cucumber in it--not appetizing. After a very long wait for our entrees a different waiter brings out an additional soup and salad, my dh's burgers and fajitas for me. I didn't order fajitas. He apologized and took the soup, salad, and fajitas back, and by the time my dh was mostly done with his burgers and fries, my tacos arrived. Without the fries. The waitress didn't stick around to hear that I was missing half my lunch, so when she came back a little later, my dh asked if the tacos weren't supposed to have fries. "Yes," was all she said, took my dh's cup to refill with Coke and came back with the fries. No apology. At least my fries were hot which was more than could be said for my dh's fries. His were tepid at best. The tacos had a lot of flavor and were juicy. I added some sour cream which had been left behind from the fajita fiasco, and that made them even tastier. I felt bad leaving only an 11% tip, but really couldn't justify a larger one. Two hours later my dh had to run for the bathroom; good thing we were close to home. Can't say for sure it's from this visit, but it really wouldn't surprise me. read more

The hostess moved slow and his attitude was lackluster. Took a minute to seat us (2 with a highchair), even though there were plenty of unoccupied tables that just hadn't been bussed yet. He was standing around when we walked in, he should have made himself useful and bussed those tables. The waitress was fine, fortunately. The table behind us had a drink spilled on their lap by a different waitress, and even though a manager was there she didn't even acknowledge the mishap. She also ignored our asking if our waitress needed help, after seeing tables arrive after us get their food before us. Food took way longer than necessary to come out. Worst to go service ever !!! Called in my order and spoke with Matt and was told to park in the to go spot and food would be brought out to car and then we pay. Get there and we park in the to go spot and waited for 5 minutes and nothing I then called in and said I'm waiting in the to go spot. Was told we will send out the to go person , a rude woman in a blue shirt comes out and tells me that I have to go inside and pay and that I cannot park in the spot. We moved to another spot and I went in and paid... ask for the mgr and the same rude person came out . I usually like chilis but last night was horrible! I love their enchilada soup and always order it before my meal and I think the waitress forgot because I had to ask to get it after waiting awhile. Then it took awhile to get out food and it wasn't really busy. When we finally got food the mashed potatoes looked old the chicken crispers weren't good and the fajitas weren't great. To top it off a waitress spilled drinks all over my husband clothes, shoes and some on his food. Out on a Saturday night deciding what to have for dinner is usually one of the hardest things to decide. So the wife and me chose to check out Chili's since i been craving their chips and salsa for a while now and that's usually what brings me back to this spot wether for lunch or dinner. Wait times can usually be crazy but this time around we were sat almost immediately and that's always a plus when your hungry. Got sat down and of course the chips and salsa were the first things on the table followed by drinks and another appetizer the cheese curds which were amazing as well. For dinner the wife ordered the rib eye dinner plate and i had the shrimp tacos. I will say that they do have some really good tacos here specially for a tex mex style. After we were almost thru of course came dessert which was the molten chocolate cake as always amazing and good didn't disappoint. So all in all i will have to give this chili's location a full five star for service and for food. keep up the good work here and we will definitely be back for another visit! cheers. read more

Chilies isn't my go to spot. If it wasn't for my boyfriend's tendencies for Chilies chips and dip (in my opinion they're overly saturated in salt) we wouldn't go there. Alas, it was his choice for dinner and as always service is nice, timeliness is hit or miss, and the food is good. There's almost always something amiss, but nothing to hold against them. The last time we went however, my boyfriend ended up getting food poisoning. Middle of the night he started throwing up, couldn't get to sleep and had to call in sick the next morning. The fajitas appeared properly cooked but were contaminated through improper food handling. Needless to say we won't be going back there. read more
