It has been a few months since we've been here so I was looking forward to having a yummy salad. We arrived around 5:15pm and were seated right away (not too bad since it was a Friday night). Our waitress greeted us right away and took our drink order. We knew what we were having so we ordered fairly quickly. I ordered the buffalo boneless chicken salad (with the buffalo sauce/dressing on the side). My Husband had one of their new burritos and my Son had a hamburger kids meal. Our food arrived fairly quickly. My Son's dry hamburger (only pickles) arrived as a dry cheeseburger. Thankfully all I had to do was scrape the cheese off and he still ate it. Our waitress forgot the pickles so we had to ask another server for a side of pickles. She was quick to arrive with 3 pickles. Although he was disappointed at first, it worked out in the end since he did not like them. He told me they were "too spicy" which doesn't surprise me since I had picked off a few peppercorns. My Husband said his burrito was "ok" which means he will not be ordering it again. My salad was good. The chicken seemed overcooked but I would rather have it be overcooked than undercooked. The only reason why I gave 3 stars instead of 4 was that my salad had a hair in it. And...it wasn't mine since it was a completely different color. It was also mixed in with the lettuce not just laying across the top. I did like the fact that we never had to ask for drink refills. Okay so I had come here with my husband 3 or so months ago we ended walking out since no one came to even get our drink order the place was empty and 20 minutes had pass. I'm here again the place is kinda busy were on the bar side I'm pregnant wanting some Texas fries and we have been sitting here again for close to 20 minutes no one came and I said let's go Stockton location is a lot better but to our luck cristy came to the rescue we ended up staying...the food was good but don't make a pregnant woman wait I'll see you in another 3 months maybe more. read more

I just tried to kill myself by potato. It didn't work, but it sure was fun trying! I had the Stuffed Potato Skins, the Texas Cheese Fries, and Burger Bites (with fries). Aubrey was attentive and friendly and I had an array of delicious tubers in front of me before I knew it. This was my first visit since the WiFi boxes were implemented. Came here last night 6-8-2013 to get a few drinks with my girls, and we had a great time. After working a long shft, it feels amazing to unwind and relax and we did just that. We decided to sit in the Bar area, the mood was great, it was an overall upbeat chill enviornment. The bartender for the night was great, I do not remember her name, but she had long dark hair which was in a pony tail and she had a tattoo on her shoulder, not only was she very attentive, she was very professional and sweet. After every drink, she would bring me a glass of water and ask how I was doing. Overall it was a great night, I will be back soon. read more

The new ziosk system is the thing that will ultimately kill chili's. I've been in to eat there twice since this new system has been installed. Servers will ignore you, waiting for you to pay with your credit card over a WiFi system. I have had to ask for the bill twice and the server has directed me to pay with my debit card. I told the server I wanted to pay with cash and both times they tried to get me to pay with my card. Whatever happened to paying with cash? I don't trust anyone with my personal information. It's sad that service has to die, and I have to be made to look like a fool paying with cash. More than likely I won't be back, and I have been a long time customer here..... read more

This place has gone SO DOWNHILL it's ridiculous. The wait times are not even the issue at this point, as soon as you're seated you gotta wait another 20 minutes for someone to take your drink/appetizer order so you better be ready to order the one time your server actually comes to your table because good luck getting their attention again. I had a party of six and we waited over 15 mins just to get our drinks only for them to be the wrong drinks. I asked to get the correct drinks and had to ask 4 different servers before I actually got my drink. Then our entrees come out before we ever got appetizers so at that point I didn't even want the appetizers anymore. The whole point of an appetizer is to eat it before your food gets there. Then to top things off my entree wasn't even correct so I had to send it back and wait 20 more mins only for them to bring it out boxed up to go. I guess I'm eating my food at home now. Usually we enjoy going to Chili's in Lodi. However, yesterday we decided to stop and have lunch which turned out to be a bad idea. We were seated promptly, given water and that was the end of any service for about 25 minutes when we decided to leave. One thing you can expect (for the most part) when visiting a chain restaurant is consistency. The food and price should be relatively close to what you've experienced elsewhere. So you know what...you get 2 stars for that (i wouldn't have come here if i didnt like the food). Getting past taste and cost, this place hits a wall. I've been here too many times and had the service be terrible. Not rude or mean, they just dissapear to watch dances with wolves or some other 3 hour movie while you sit out there waiting for your drink to be refilled or maybe after you've had enough of their fun you'd like to pay and leave...nope, you're held hostage as they vanish never to return again. Stopped in for a quick lunch (their 3 for $10 is an excellent deal) it didn't start out so great and through the time there it was ehhh. I won't go into detail as I am willing to try this location again after speaking with the manager. I will say though a waitress name joy stepped in and tried her best to take care of us as she had her own area to attend to. I've had lunch dinner and drinks at many places. Visited Chilis in Lodi tonight to celebrate my grandmothers birthday. We had a party of 6 people during the dinner rush on a Friday night. Our waitress was very attentive and quick with our order and prompt on all drink refills. She was very friendly and made the environment seem less hectic than it truly was. I ordered my favorite chicken enchilada soup paired with a side house salad. Everything was tasty and the soup has great flavor. Ambience was loud and family friendly but the service was quick and I would return here. Be sure to call in reservations ahead of time or be prepared to wait awhile for a table. read more

I agree with the previous poster about the quality of this Chili's. I've been there three times. The first time when they opened up, it was fine. A bit slow on the service, but everything else was good. The second time, I can't remember all the particulars, but it wasn't one of their better dinner services. I'll usually give a place another try if they are off a bit, everyone has a bad day time and again, so tonight we went again while we were in Lodi picking up some blank dvd's at Staples. First thing we ordered the rib special they have for 10.99 where you get half a rack, some fries, a salad, and dessert. Our salad came out and literally 30 seconds later our ribs came out. We had barely had time to put our dressing on our salads. It was a manager that dropped it off, and she noticed my disdain, but didn't apologize or say anything, just dropped it off. Hey, no dipping sauce for our ribs, oh joy. That wasn't a problem though, as both our racks were inedible. The bones were room temperature, and the meat was almost cold to the touch. We sent it back, and a manager didn't bring it back, as they do at most places to say they are sorry. Just some guy who said "good luck with those ribs" I had the habanero, and it tasted like they spiked it to double it's normal potency. I assume to get back at me for sending them back. I don't know. Cock. Then dessert came, well one dessert, as they didn't have any more of the one I ordered............so I had to wait yet again on some other type. Finally came after my wife finished hers. Along with the bill. The waitress was a sweetheart, and it didn't seem like things were her fault, so I didn't penalize her in anyway, but it will be the last time I step foot in that place. Oh yeah, also my wifes "strawberry" lemonaide had maybe 1/4 the strawberry flavor as usual, but still cost extra. Totally worth it to take the 10 minutes to drive to Stockton, if you absolutely have to have a Chili's fix. They are 1000x more professional. read more

I am not a huge fan of Chili's and their cookie cutter ways however in Lodi there aren't many choices especially on a Monday night past 6pm! With that said the food is usually warm and fairly decent priced. Service has been never usually great and their so called happy hour isn't much cheaper than the regular prices. Your best bet is to sit in the bar on Sundays and you can catch yourself some free chips and salsa, pair it with Fajitas and a few margaritas and you might actually enjoy yourself. The food is fine. The service is terrible. It's honestly like they don't even care. If you are trying to use a Chili's Reward, you might as well just forget about it. Their ziosk system is seriously flawed and the management blames corporate, but there is no follow through. Happens every time we go, so we usually end up paying full price, even though we have loaded rewards and/or coupons on our account. Tonight we got a sob story from management about how she would lose her job if she followed through with the free dessert that was supposed to be loaded to our account. We showed her the email we received, showing the free dessert AND we showed her the out-dated offer which showed up on the Ziosk, but it was 'beyond her ability' to comp a dessert. AND this was after the waitress took our order wrong, brought out the wrong food, and messed up our check. Really? I am sick of it. If this particular location doesn't want to follow through with promotions, then they need to stop participating in the Rewards program. Otherwise, it's called 'Bait and Switch' and it's illegal. This Chili's isn't too bad. The service more often than not is pretty good, and the food is tasty (if you order the right thing). Prices are reasonable, and atmosphere is fun. I come in just for chips and cheso quite a bit, and 90%* of the time it's made well and is hot. We got our drinks but I thought it was weird how we never received anything else within a 30 minute period so I assumed it was because it was busy.
