Went to Chili's Milford location on Friday night. We sat at the bar as there was nobody to seat us, not a problem! The Southwest Egg rolls were awesome as always but looks like they're getting smaller, seems that's the norm now though. My SO got the Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers which he said were great. I got the rack of ribs with rice and broccoli. I could only finish half which was my intention because that was breakfast the next morning... yes breakfast lol! Again savored that great smoky flavor with fall off the bone meat.. yum! Broccoli was cooked perfectly, rice was in a tiny little dish but was flavorful. Our bartender who served us was awesome, great Margaritas! Definitely would go back, best ribs around! read more

My husband and I have been going to this Chili's since we were dating 38 years. We went today and the food has changed flavorwise. We had nachos and egg rolls...it may be better for some but they have different spices that we just didn't like. I am a great cook but I can't figure what you are doing different but we will not be going back. Our waiter never checked on us at all but my drink was good. I'm updating my review to 4/5 simply because of how above and beyond the customer service was for making up for incredibly poor visit just a few weeks prior. Bryan, the manager, is wonderful. He sent out a letter to us apologizing for the subpar service we received from the waitress we had that night and even noted that the it wasn't a busy night, so the food coming out cold and our waitress playing magician and disappearing half the night was inexcusable. He sent us some Chili bucks and after coming home late one night, we decided to stop by and see if he was there. Sure enough, Bryan was working and I thanked him for his kind letter and the apology, as well as the Chili bucks. We sat down and had a waitress who was attentive from start to finish without being overbearing. We didn't have to ask for refills on drinks, she knew to put in our daughter's food before our two meals, and was just overall jovial and pleasant. The food came out hot, with no issues and everyone was happy. The whole experience was a total 180 from what we were exposed to previously. Bryan assured us that some of his staff were put on notice (not just our waitress) and some were even fired (not her either) and that everyone has since stepped it up. It was incredibly refreshing to see someone step up and initiative to get things done and make it right. read more

My only one star review so far. Hate to do it. When I came here, with a group of people, we actually walked out before we were seated. The condition of the bathroom is one reason. Now granted this was a long time ago and things may have changed since then (not that I'm going back to find out). What was on the bathroom floor was disgusting. No bugs or anything but take a wild guess at what WAS there. After all it is a bathroom..but I'm talking about the floor as you walk in. You can tell alot of things about a place by how they keep their bathrooms. I'm nothing like a neat freak believe me but this was disgusting. Then there was the kitchen which I had the misfortune of seeing as I walked back to the front area. The floor was completely covered in food..covered. I told my friends my discoveries and we got out of Dodge. The actual food at Chili's isn't bad (I had been there before this unfortunete incident). But cleanliness and atmosphere do factor in. I ordered the classics nachos which is normally one of my favorites at Chili's. But this time was a different, scary experience. I noticed a liquid on top of the chili sauce and it looked like water. Then i looked at my server had a dripping nose and it had gotten all over the nachos. I will never eat at Chili's again! Just came in here today for take-out; I placed my order online. I ordered the cheese curds, enchilada chicken soup, mango iced tea, and the classic bacon burger with homestyle fries on the side. After I placed my order, a detailed receipt confirming that I ordered everything I wanted was sent directly to my email. My food was done very promptly and the servers were friendly. From the moment I placed the order at home, it only took about 25 minutes to have it in my hands, which I think is great. But when I got home, I discovered that they forgot to give me my order of fries. I should've known better and checked my order before I left the restaurant. I just figured since it was a fairly simple and straightforward order (with no special requests nor substitutions), that everything would be correct. But you never truly know. The food/drink was decent. I liked the mango iced tea. The burger was cooked the way I wanted and I enjoyed it. The cheese curds were also pretty good. The chicken enchilada soup could be better....I have a feeling the chicken they use in the soup isn't exactly premium quality chicken, so I picked the pieces of chicken out and discarded them. Just had a to-go order and it was the worst. Our steaks were soggy and looked like they barely touched the grill. My steak didn't even come with both of the sides I had ordered. This Chili's is about the oldest casual dining chain place in the Orange/Milford corridor, dating back to the late 80s I believe. Despite the age, the place looks pretty decent - they've done a good job of maintaining the place over the years. For what it is, it's fine. Had the chicken fajitas in my recent visit - a little light on peppers and the chicken was sliced too big and could have been blackened a bit, but overall it was ok. I did like that there were some beer specials that saved me a couple bucks a beer. I also liked the music they had playing, a mix of rock and pop, and at a just-right volume. If you're vegetarian, be warned that options are limited: one pizza and one flatbread choice (neither of which really scream Chili's to me), and then what might be your best bet: any of the burgers with a black bean patty (which is actually pretty decent, and I'm not even vegetarian). One major bummer - they discontinued one of their other signature items, the "Awesome Blossom", which was the breaded and deep fried whole onion. Certainly nothing great, but if you have to eat on the Boston Post Road, this is one of the more solid options. read more

Ordered some food to go last week here. The Grilled chicken sandwich was awful. Dry, no flavor or taste to it at all. Kind of like eating shoe leather on a bun. Had a rack of Ribs and same thing just too dry. Meat was sticking to the bone and was hard to eat. A friend had a cheeseburger he wanted cooked Med-rare. Instead they cooked it beyond well done. Fries are always cold. Don't even bother to get them. I doubt I will be coming back here again. If dry overcooked cold food is what you crave then this is the place for you. read more

We're not talking gourmet food, but after driving hours in the rain on I-95, Hubs and I stopped here to catch a quick dinner and rest before hitting the road back to Boston. For travelers, it's very easy to get in and out of. And it's across the street from a mall, too. Even better. Our server was really nice and very quick. We split chips and salsa (not homemade, I know, but it hit the spot) and ordered two entrees. We finished our entrees quickly, as if we had never ate before. We joked with our server that we were on the road heading home and needed to get off the road and out of the rain. He kept hooking us up with more chips and salsa. I tend to steer clear of franchise restaurants. Microwaved food doesn't really appeal to me. But I've been coming here lately --usually late night-- for drinks and dessert. (I can't speak on the actual meals because I haven't tried them recently.) But that skillet cookie with ice cream is one of the best things I've ever tasted. The cookie is rich, buttery and comes out steaming hot with a heap of vanilla ice cream on top, drizzled with fudge sauce. It's amazing. For ten bucks you can get a margarita mixer that's good for 4 cups. It's a great deal for a chill night out. I usually sit in the bar area when I go and the last two times I was there we had an attentive waiter that really looked out for us. She was awesome. read more

On my daughter's birthday, I visited Chili's after walking out of the Applebee's nearby following the most horrible customer service I have ever received. We were greeted by a very nice young lady at the door who took my name. She was clearly working very hard to find each party on her list, and smiled at everyone as they were escorted to their table. We were served by Laura, who provided a wonderful experience, and greeted us immediately as we sat down. Everything was brought very quickly and correctly by our very friendly server. It was clearly a very busy Saturday night, but Laura shined. We explained to her that our experience at Applebee's earlier in the evening was horrific, and she certainly made it a point to go the extra mile for us. About midway through our meal, a young man who looked to be a manager came over and apologized to us about our experience at the other restaurant. He did not have to do this, and especially not on such a busy evening. Good on him for taking the time to come over and ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Say what you want about "chain restaurants." The Chili's in Orange is an example of what families look for when they go out to eat on a Saturday night. Good food, great service, an awesome environment, and a fair price. I am a huge fan of Chili's. I usually frequent the Shelton location. Now I remember why. The service tonight was quite slow. Our order was messed up twice. I always order the Texas Cheese Fries and they came doused in cheese and barely any French fries. We actually had to turn the food over to find the French fries. It was covered in jalapeños after I specifically said "no jalapeños". My soup arrived only after I reminded my waiter that I ordered it. Dirty dishes were left on the table for way too long. The nachos were okay, and the mashed potato with bacon was the best part of the meal, but the meat was overcooked when I ordered it medium, so I drowned it in A-1 sauce to make up for the lack of flavor. The worst part though was the broccoli, which was far from fresh and had brown rings around the stems and some of the head. Went yesterday to this location and ordered the Berry Blitzen Rita (the special drink for the month of December) & to my surprise the drink was NOT at all what I thought it'd be. I'm giving 2 stars because our waitress was nice. She wasn't really attentive though and when we complained about the drink she stated "oh that's just how it is made" and proceeded to walk away. 10 minutes pass and she walks by.. we actually stop her ourselves to ask her for the drink menu. She brings our drinks out, takes our order and puts it in. So food is still not out so we decide to order a third round with the same story she ask for our cups again they had run out of limes and oranges. The steak dinner was missing the garlic butter and dry, my daughters food was missing in which i complaint so he turns around and took him about 10 minutes to come out at this time I asked to speak to a manager. I explained my situation and I handed the plate and told him I don't want my food so he asked me if he can get me anything else in which I told him I'm done. He takes my food off the check messing up my check since it was part of the 2 for $25.00 so my check was even higher. So I get up and I approached the manager and I told him about what he's done to my check so he fixed a part of it at this point I pay the check not realizing that I still had paid for the so called free chips.
