It was packed tonight. I'll give them that, but it always seems that service is a problem. For a Tuesday night, it was very busy. I heard the couple of servers say over and over, "sorry for the wait folks!" I know it's not their fault, but you need to staff up. Bathrooms were clean, and the overall experience was ok. We did have a party of 12 so we were very forgiving of the wait. Had we been in a rush, it would not have worked out. Tonight was a 2-3 star experience, but since I've had better, I'm throwing a bone for the 4 stars!! All the kids liked their food, 4 out of 6 adults enjoyed theirs. read more

morgan hill in itself is an enigma. while everything here feels depressing and like a dead end...this chili's was on point. our server looked like he was having a rough day and we just joked with him. i have never been to a chili's where we got our appetizer and shortly after our entree. i appreciated that because sometimes we go through like 2 refills before we eat. sometimes it's not about the service you're receiving...but the service you're providing to your fellow neighbor. just a thought but what happened to the 'i want my baby back baby back baby back chili's baby back ribs' jingle? read more

Three stars for the food one for the server Nallely. We spent an hour an a half here and saw our server three times. Having to ask for her every time since our table kept getting avoided for some reason. We didn't complain during the meal or send anything back.. Under staffed! Sat at the bar and one server tending to 19 people. Drinks and food were terribly slow. Food was cold and not appetizing. Sat down at 11am and food was served to us at noon. Well I see we are not alone. My family loves Chili's and this one is closest to home. The food is always good....not gourmet, but good. The problem is the service and the time you have to dedicate to a meal here. The last four times (yes I know why I do I go back after four bad experiences...my five year old daughter is very persuasive) we have gone we were quickly seated only to wait and wait and wait. Each time the place is only about a quarter full. The staff, which there seems to be plenty of, dart around looking straight ahead not daring to look to the side as you might catch their attention. No one knows who your waitress is. Drinks take forever, and once you order our experience is you are waiting 30 minutes to an hour for your food. This is at lunch and dinner. When lunch for four takes an hour and a half in a nearly empty restaurant, you lose me. You see your server sparingly and then they disappear. I actually have gone looking and I can't find them, and none of the other servers knows who yours is, and worse yet they don't ask if they can help. I am not a big whiner and I am as low maintenance as it gets, but come on man. Get on the stick. Your food is good for what it is, but your service needs work bad. I really don't want to have to trek to Gilroy to go to Chili's but if this happens again we are done here, which would be sad. Do something about your service...I am clearly not the only one who likes your food but is badly disappointed with the service at this store. You get two stars because despite being slower than molasses going uphill in the winter, the food is always good. read more

Just went into Chili with my family and they didn't have enough high chairs for the few families they had in there. That's a deal breaker for our family - and any family that knows how hard it is to juggle a toddler while eating. We had to leave. Unacceptable for a FAMILY restaurant. read more

I really liked the chicken and carnitas fajitas. I thought the service was very good on my first visit to this Chilis. I wish they gave out more salsa with the chips and I felt the side dishes of cheese and sour cream etc were a little too small. I can't give this place a lower rating cause the food never came to our table. We were told it would be twenty minutes for a table..we waited closer to forty. Ten minutes after we got our table the waitress came and took our order then brought us drinks a few minutes later....that was the last we saw of her. While waiting for a table and waiting for our food I noted that it was taking them, on average, thirty minutes to clear a used table. We had a partY of six and while we waited for a table one that could have accommodated us sat there with dirty dishes on it the entire time. After waiting for our food (SALADS AND BURGERS, NOTHING THAT SHOULD TAKE LONG) for forty minutes we left. This is not an example of a a waitress not doing her job or something like this..this place is shorthanded and mismanaged, plain and simple. As you can guess we won't be back..ever. read more

Horrible experience. Stopped in here after an afternoon of shopping with my 8 year old. We were both starving and still has about an hours drive home. We walked in and the place was mostly empty. No one ever acknowledged us. I made eye contact with the bar tender and a server and after standing around for 10 minutes waiting to be seated, we walked out and went across the way to Red Robin where we were promptly seated. read more

First time we came here was for a family dinner, we were seated at our table and were told someone would take our drink orders. 20 minutes went by and no one had taken out drinks orders. After that we ask the see the manager and later on as we where waking out he approached us and looked like he had been sleeping in his office. So second time I come in we where better served but when we got the food it was just junk, the only thing good was the drinks. Don't really recommend this place go to red Robbin across the street. read more

By far one of the worst customer service I've had in a long time. We got our drinks from our waitress then didn't see her for about 20 minutes. We ordered simple soup & salad meals that we never got. After waiting for a long time we just decided to ask for the bill. Then waitress proceeded to charge us for the entire order even though we never got our food. She finally took off the food we never got & charged us full price for our half eaten appetizer which we didn't finish because it was awful tasting. We spoke to the manager who was probably 15 years old. His response was sorry I only have two servers, then walked away. No way will we ever go back! This is my go-to restaurant. I can go here knowing I'll enjoy my food and have a pleasant experience. I don't usually go when it is busy so the only wait I really ever experience is the few minutes it takes for them to notice me and come over to seat us. Their waitresses are always so nice and accommodating. The girl I got last this last visit, I forgot her name but she was blonde, was super friendly and fun to talk to. I definitely recommend signing up for the rewards! This last visit I got a drink free and an appetizer free which left the bill at only $19 for my mother and I. My all-time favorite has to be the quesadilla explosion salad. The chicken is always juicy and the sauces compliments it well. I've heard that some people think it's too saucy but I think that's the best part. The quesadilla isn't anything specially but it is soooo good with the salad, everything works well together. You also can't go wrong with the chicken crispers, the honey chipotle is my my favorite. My mother and I have been loving one of their new burgers called the Boss. It has tons of meat and the sauce is really good. There is so much meat I can't even take a normal bite my mouth cannot fit over it. As for their appetizers I really love the southwest eggrolls, flat bread pizza, and of course their queso! read more

Went there with my family the other day. I didn't even get to eat with them. My boyfriend ordered bottomless soup and salad and didn't even get to have a second round. I ordered a side of salmon with just salt and pepper (because I'm allergic to everything); it came out and I noticed that there was garlic on it (which I'm allergic to). They apologized and re-made it. The remake took another 15 mins and we had to leave. I got an apology, people make mistakes and that's fine, but the fact that the server didn't come back to check on us (or ask my boyfriend if he wanted another round of soup and salad which we paid for) was pretty ridiculous. I work in the service industry so I will not be upset if mistakes are made, but when you're mistake takes another 15 mins (after our food took 30/35) AND I didn't even get to eat w our kids, that is not ok. This Chilis is awful and I will not be going there again. Two previous times, years ago I went with a friend and sat at the bar for 10-15 mins without anyone even acknowledging us. Awful. read more

Really disappointed in our last visit. My boyfriend and I like chili's a lot, which is why we decided to come in today. We were seated and greeted quickly, which has never been an issue for us. The bad service started as we sat down and didn't have our waiter check on us for about 10 minutes. Once our waitress came, she took our drinks and came back another 10 minutes later. BUT! The drinks were wrong. We already already waited so long that we didn't bother to say anything. 15 minutes go by, and the table next to us has to ask for our waitress. She then shows up 5 minutes later to take their order, even though we had been there before them and were ready. After taking their order and instead of directly taking ours, she proceeds to walk around the restaurant a few times mindlessly before stopping to take our orders. 3 tables received their appetizer before us even though we ordered before them and had been there first. Then she finally brings our food out and it was cold. The meat was burnt over cooked and hard as if it had been from a few days ago. The fajitas were okay, and nothing bad to say about those. But the mashed potatoes for the steak were cold! And did not taste fresh. Our waitress never came back so we could ask for a refill. So we ended not finishing our food and leaving. We really like chili's and have only to complain about this one in Morgan hill. We won't be coming back. read more

I'm a very picky eater so I don't eat too much off the menus but their baked potato soup is amazing! I used to order the cheese enchiladas, however, they were recently taken off the menu.. the ribs are pretty good as well, I like the honey chipotle sauce or the house BBQ sauce. The service at this location is hit or miss. Normally pretty good but there's time when the servers just don't come around to the table, maybe once more after ordering food. We order for pick up more often than not and our food is usually done when we there. They put everything into your bag at the counter right in front of you telling you wax item as it's going into the bag which is awesome because if something is missing it's your own fault for not paying attention during the bagging process. I don't know why the reviews are so bad, I think this is a great place for some good food, except for my favorite cheese enchiladas :( read more

This was our second time at this location and I have to say this is the worst experience I've had thus far. My entree was cold! I ordered the "favorite" bacon quesadilla with steak. The tortilla to my quesadilla was extremely dry, (you should've just given me tortilla CHIPS), the cheese wasn't even gooey, there was no meat to be found aside from the two slices that wouldn't even be able to feed my toddler, I mean even some of the meat fell out when the lady placed the food on the table.. The scarce meat I had was dry. Who is in the kitchen? Who is the expo? Why aren't the waiters checking the food before they bring it to the table? Rule of thumb: ask yourself, would you enjoy eating this? No? Take it back. For the most part, I'm a really good customer and I'm not picky, but when the food is cold and dry as hell I'm not going to be so happy. This was my go to meal when I'm at Chili's and knowing what this entree should taste like compared to what I had tonight was a disappointment. To add onto this review, I think a meal for one person should come out at the same time. I know it's not the waiters fault for the food being unpleasant, but please check it before you send it out. The main reason people come to restaurants is to eat, so please make your patrons visit worth it. read more

I gave this restaurant 3 chances. Each time the service was very slow. The last time I was there a few days ago it took 10 minutes for a beer, another 20 minutes for the food and 10 minutes for the appetizer. I talked to the server and she kept saying she is sorry. I do not blame her. Its the management. There seem to be discountect between the staff. Although food was good, I do not think it worth the frustrations to go back there. I in general like other Chili's restaurants. I work construction and I've stopped for lunch with one of my workers on 4-5 different occasions. Every single one has been a bad experience. The last 3 times I went there they always insists on "sitting us at the bar since there is no wait :)" That excuse for sitting us at the bar would be great if the rest of your restaurant wasn't 3/4s empty. Then when they sit us it takes about 20 minutes before we ever see a waiter. We ordered appetizers and they took 30 minutes to bring them out. They brought them out with our food. By that time my drink was completed empty and I never seen the waiter again until he brought us our check. If your going to eat here you may want to wear a tuxedo. Maybe they will serve you better and you won't have to sit in the back of the bus. read more

Came for an early dinner before going to the movies. No hostess or anyone up front when we came in. After being there for about 5-10 minutes a young woman came to the front, I tried to tell her we'd like a table for two, she took one of the numerous parties that were waiting and said she'd be right back. While I'm waiting I notice that more than half of the tables are empty and EVERY ONE of them is dirty....dishes, food, trash. Hostess eventually gets to us and takes us to a table, asks if this is OK? I told her, not really, do you have something that is not right next to the kitchen, we were RIGHT THERE, could see and hear everything. She told us that all those those other table were in closed sections (they were all dirty anyhow) so we could either go to the bar or wait for another table to open up and be cleaned. So, we sit down and start to look at the menu then look at each other and say, we're out of here. I don't tend to write a lot of reviews and since I worked in a restaurant when I was young I'm usually pretty understanding, this was waaay past being ok though. Sneaky "table entertainment" charge. After I realized my 6 yo daughter had grabbed the video screen on the table and was playing a game I took it away from her (maybe one minute into the game). I was was surprised to see a $1.99 "table entertainment" charge on my bill. I, as the adult bill payer, didn't authorize this. I bet many people don't even notice the charge. A very sneaky way for chili's to pad the bill. Left a bad taste in my mouth, and not from the food. read more

I'm not a huge fan of Chili's but my family and I were vacationing and it if town. We were extremely exhausted from our long day at the beach and me being pregnant I was hoping for a steak. Chili's was the only place that served steaks in the area we were. So my family a party of 15 walks into chili's about 30 minutes before closing and were basically turned away. The manager said he couldn't serve us because he only had 2 servers on and they were busy. Well duh your a restaurant you should hope to be busy. He was rude and didn't have any alternative solution but to turn us away!!! Really as a manager you turn away a party of 15. I've worked as a bartender and server for 10 years at a few chain restaurants and I have never witnessed any of my employers turn away guests. Even if it was 5 minutes to closing they would still have us serve them and to me I was happy like here's an extra $20 in my pocket. You have to be there any ways to clean your section and side work. It was a typical chilis. Ordered the smokehouse comba with chicken, sausage, and ribs. Sausage waa delicious. Chixken pretty good. Ribs were dry and skimpped on the bbq sauce. The corn on the cob was soggy and not hot. The butter wasnt melting. Had so e difficulty with the kiosk when I yried to use a coupon. Manager had to take it off in the back. Server was really nice. Terrible service. Place to go if you want your waitress to tell you to do her job. She can't lift plates herself because her nails as she stated. She was snappy and rude. If you can't do your job because of fake nails, then maybe you shouldn't have those nails. Thank you for making us do your job.
