Ordered family size dinner on Mother's Day - arrived at the assigned pickup time, got in line & called to let them know we were at the restaurant - when waited in line for over one hour. Called again several times - no answer - went up the up to the door, but no responded! Called the next day & talked to the manager (?) & was told that I would get a credit! Now 10 days later & still no credit? Chilis lost another customer! read more

It's the national chain. They don't do anything bad or exceedingly well. You are guaranteed to get an average decent meal (without any unwanted surprises) for a slightly above average price. It's nice and clean. read more

We have been in Chilis for the last time in our lives! I will admit that the Patrone Margaritas were very good. That was the only good thing about our experience there. We were seated by a bored teeny bopper and then ignored for 15 minutes. We were about to leave when the manager came over. Rather than assign someone to be our server, he took our order. I'm not a big fan of chains like this, but I thought I'd pay compliments to one of the menu items that was surprisingly good: the cheesesteak sandwich. It was the perfect balance of ingredients, and the beef was sliced very thin (which is a good thing). If you find yourself eating at Chilis, I definitely recommend giving this sandwich a try. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Hands down the 2nd worst meal I've ever attempted to eat. Ordered the grilled fish taco with some kind of slaw on top, avocados on the side. The avocados were browning - GROSS. First bite of the taco ended with a grimace and nearly spitting it out. Took a bite of the next taco figuring the first was a gross, bitter fluke. It wasn't. Fish had ZERO flavor, cilantro was insanely bitter leaving a horrible taste in my mouth, the slaw had a gray hue (not normal at all). I almost never send food back, however this time I did. My sister flagged down the host who had no idea what to do, so he got the manager. The manager was hardly apologetic, seemed more annoyed than anything, took the plate back and ordered me a burger. Our server was apologetic and tried to smooth over the bump. Burger was good, however the fries had a bad flavor. I'm thinking the fryer oil is old as my sisters [cold] fries had the same bad flavor. At no time did the manager ever come back to see if round 2 was better. Poor management without a doubt. When the check came, they really did nothing to accommodate any inconvenience of disgusting food, then watching each other eat separately. They simply removed the tacos and replaced it with the burger. Side note... service was incredibly slow and a server left a cleaning pail on the very first table for more than a half an hour. Advice to management... If you do not possess customer service skills, get a new job. If you cannot even pretend to care, get a new job. You set a poor example for what a leader should be. If employees are leaving pails of garbage in public, I can hardly imagine what a dump the kitchen can be. read more

The last couple of times we ate at this location it was not a pleasant experience. Server was great and food was good, but the placed smelled like old dirty water was being used to clean the floors. We got stuck at the high bar back tables and it stunk. Lost our desire to go back. Hopefully issue gets taken care of! read more

Yesterday afternoon about 4pm. My 83 yr old mother and I were seated at a booth table sticky then table across from us 4 kids w their parents seated food and drinks spilled all over floor they leave , the table gets cleaned but leaves mess all over floor but the topper is music blasting can't even hear myself think mom and I trying to hear each other I asked our server he ssid he would see what ge could do Music still blasting I then went to the hostess she said she would see what she could do. She did get music turned down. I also had asked for a strawberry lemonade which I was told they make themselves took about 15 minutes before i got it. Between the still sticky table the mess on the floor and the loud music when our food came I had lost my appetite my mom had one of her three tacos and we asked for containers to go. There must not have been a manager there or if there was manager not a good one Last time I was here was for lunch and I have been here for dinner in the past dont know what happened but the restaurant cleanliness and the atmosphere has really gone down hill The food has always been good but I will never go there again If the restaurant is that dirty hate to see the kitchen read more

I went to a Chili's restaurant for the first time about a year ago, are u kidding me I didn't know what I was missing. This food is just terrific I fell in love with it the first time. Everyone is very friendly I have to say I was stuffed after I finished my dinner but my waiter talked me into ordering dessert and I LOVE the molten chocolate cake and I have to order one every time I go it's just delicious and to think that I didn't know about it makes me angry. That's why now I recommend Mokena's Chili's to everyone I know. read more

First time at this location....ordered the ribeye for $18.89 came to the table luke warm... paid $3.99 for a half order of shrimp came in a ranch container with (4) small shrimps. (Was hot though lol) family ordered one thing- server came to the table with something different. Cups were FILTHY around the rim with soap scum (got replaced)... restaurant wasn't very busy for a Friday evening so...not sure what happened but this location is GARBAGE. Ordered take out. Ordered two orders of buffalo boneless wings. Got my email confirmation, but when I showed up, no order at location. Girl said it was probably a glitch. After listening to our waitress apologize over and over for delays we finally got our appetizers which were fairly good. Then the food comes out to soon since the apps took so long. It was my first time going to this Chili's located in New Lenox. Of all other Chili's locations I've been to, this one is by far the worse dining experience I have had. it wasn't busy the day I went, and after ordering, my friend had her appetizer (which was the fried pickles) delivered. It was cold, and she delivered that back to the kitchen. Not off to a good start. While we were all patiently waiting, I noticed that a couple who ordered 30 minutes after us got their food a lot sooner than we did. I was going to ask our waitress about the hold up because we had been waiting for nearly 40 minutes for it. Before I could ask, all our food did come out. With a 40+ minute wait, you would think it would be worth the waiting, but let me tell you- we were all unimpressed. ALL of our food was cold. I definitely will not be coming back here read more

During the airing of The Walking Dead- my wife and I make a habit of ordering to go every Sunday. It's usually very well made with prompt timing. From time to time we get a small portion or cold fries- but overall we come back every week. Now that's saying something. read more

Been to this Chili's many times. Usually the service is pretty good. Last night was the worst. Must have lost our order but wouldn't admitted it. People all around us ordering after we did and getting their food. Complained to the manager and he finally delivered half of our order. So last month I left a two star review for Chili's and my waiter Rick. I was pretty frustrated that day and ripped into Rick and the business pretty good. As I stated in my review I would definitely go back because we usually have a great experience. Well we have been back several times now and have had Rick as our server. Carry out service is HORRIBLE! The girl who takes orders over the phone always gets the order wrong! It is extremely frustrating. Especially when we are on work lunch and have limited time. Beware of carry out here double check every time. This has happened on multiple occasions. Maybe get new people working on the carry out line. read more

I gave it 3 stars because the food was good, and the only 2 staff [we saw] were friendly - however the service was sooo slow! It was lunchtime and very few other customers, so why it took so long is a mystery (maybe they knew not to come for lunch?). Our lunch was 1.5 hrs and not because we were visiting. Not quite as good as it used to be. Must be a problem with these type of restaurants, the food was so so and the service was less then good. Place was mostly empty just us and another couple, so you might have thought the service would have been a lot better, but no. Many of the casual sit down places have been folding and after this experience can see why. I had a taste for mashed potatoes and steak so we went to Chili's remembering how good it used to be, seems it was only 6 months ago but could have been a lifetime for the downward slide. We stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday in mid-May, late evening - three adults and two small children. Only 4 stars for Chili's first because they no longer offer the red and the blue crushed ice drinks for kids...that is one of the main reasons we come here! And secondly because it took much longer than usual for our food to arrive. Actually we were there the week before and the food took a long time then, too (but it was earlier and twice as crowded)! But we do want to give a shout out to CRYSTAL/KRYSTAL (sp?) who served us our dinner - FIVE STARS FOR CRYSTAL. During dinner, one of the little girls with us dropped a small medal that was very important to her and we didn't realize it until we returned home. We hopped in the car and made it back to the restaurant about 20 minutes before closing. We headed over to where we had been sitting to search under the table; Crystal noticed us and came over. We told her what happened and she told us she would search under the table for us; she actually found the medal! Thank you very much - Crystal. And Chili's - thank you for hiring Crystal and please bring back the red and blue crushed ice drinks for kids - we miss them. Thanks. read more

The minute you walk in the door to Chili's you are greeted by a friendly smile! The wait is usually short and comfortable. From the moment you meet your server, he/she is ready to meet every need at the table to give you the best experience you can have while dining out. The menu has such a huge variety, it usually takes some time to make the choice. But when you do, you will not be disappointed. Every meal is made to order, comes out piping hot and soothes every hungry feeling you had when you walked in. The portion sizes are so large, we usually end up taking home a box, because you don't want it to go to waste....it's that good! When you receive your check, there's no surprise, everything is very reasonably priced. We are a family of 5 and get a lot of food for the money we spend. The menu has a good variety, and this particular location is always well-maintained whenever I go. A steady decline in service and food quality at this location. Today, I ordered the fajitas trio and both the steak and chicken we're grossly undercooked. When I questioned the rare steak, the server said that's the way it should be! I've ordered the fajitas many times and never did the steak show up rare and the chicken like it was steamed. And my dessert? $1.99 entertainment charge on my bill! Apparently my 9 yr old was given the authority to sign off on the charge via the table top game. As an avid fan of Chili's, of course I came here on a Wednesday afternoon with lunch in mind. My 2 sisters and I met up to have lunch and a drink. I ordered the margarita special of the day. After ordering drinks and waiting for our food, we engaged in conversation only to look up and see a woman staring at us intently. Without even saying hello, she demanded to know if my 22 year old sister had a sip of my margarita which had been on my side of the table the whole time, quoting that "someone saw her drinking it" and accused her of drinking underage. Without asking for ID, she "reminded" her that it's illegal to drink underage and walked away. First off, I get that it's their job to card. We would have been more than happy to provide ID had we been asked. But nope, she just assumes. This experience ruined our whole lunch, and the only reason we didn't walk out was because we were starving. We felt the rest of the staff were asked to keep an eye on us, and it was super uncomfortable and awkward to be watched like a hawk while eating. No complaints about the server, she was great. Management, learn how to have proper customer service. You just lost three loyal customers. read more

Worst service and food ever, we waited 40 minutes for our food which was simply fajitas, cheese quesadilla and chicken fingers... it was cold when we were served and the cheese quesadillas were hardly edible ... in the meantime of waiting for our food the other servers were sweeping and cleaning the tables around us DISGUSTING!! Took forever to get refills on our drinks which were alcohol so you'd think they would want to refill as it's not free like a pop. When we asked the server to have the others stop cleaning she replied and I quote "oh they are just trying to get out of here" unprofessional! Then the air was turned off in the dinner area. This was by far my worst restaurant experience ever. Our waiter (who had an obvious runny nose) promptly took and brought our drink order. We were chatting when he returned to take our food order. We needed a little more time to decide. That was the last time we saw him for about 40-45 minutes. The other waiters were intent on their customers (understandably) and we had difficulty even getting one's attention. Finally our waiter came and took our order, a soup for each of us and a salad for one of us - nothing fancy or complicated. 40 minutes later we once again flagged down a waiter (not ours) to say our order was MIA. 10 minutes later our lukewarm soups and salad arrived ("they had to make more soup" at 1 pm?). Our check arrived in a quite timely fashion, but since you pay your waiter, oops... where is he? Or anyone who wants to take our money ... or notice us standing, waiting. Terrible. Just came home from eating at Chili's. I will never eat there again. We hadn't been there for awhile and It was my daughters birthday and we wanted to eat together. First of all our server was rushed, and seemed to be frazzled, jumping between us and others. I ordered the Bacon Ranch quesadillas, They were overdone,dry and chewy. I couldn't finish them, and left 3/4 of them behind. My husband said his ribs were over cooked. My granddaughter didn't get what she asked for in fries. All she wanted was just plain fries with cheese, instead she got fries with cheese, bacon, and peppers which she didn't want and had to take them off. They carded my granddaughter, which was understandable as she does not look 22...and the manager even had to come over to verify she was by checking her ID..even with both her mother, sitting next to her, and us, her grandparents, across the table would verify her age. My granddaughters Blueberry pineapple Margarita cost $8.99! I noticed that the blinds were dirty and needed cleaning, they had a thick layer of dust and something splattered on them. Over all, we won't be returning to eat there for sure. Chili's may have had the corner on the restaurant market here in New Lenox, but with more coming in, that won't be for long. I'd rather drive over to Frankfort and eat at the assortment of restaurants there. Our total bill for the four of us was $76.24/tip included. What a waste.... lesson learned read more
