This is my favourite location of Chilis in Sacramento. Honestly it's not always the cleanest but the service is what I enjoy. They are crazy busy but the server's never make you feel rushed or that you're a bother. If you choose to have your kids in the bar area be ready to be in a bar area. We got an order togo, picked it up 35 mins later and they said the skillet queso would take another 15 mins because it has to be "prepped." Not happy because really, that is the only reason why we go to Chilis anyway. It was in the middle of the dinner hour, why wasn't it already prepped and made for that matter!!!! Food is ok, nothing extraordinary. The spinach queso dip is good- served with warm tortilla chips. The chips are always yummy. Tonight the chicken enchilada soup was saltier than normal. The Texas rub ribs were also a bit salty, but if you put BBQ sauce, it offset the saltiness. Caribbean salad is good, although I wish the lettuce was crispier. I have recently started going in there quite often whether it be to get drinks or food. I have always had wonderful customer service there. There is one waitress who always works in the bar area and is super friendly and offers excellent customer service every time. I can honestly say that I received AMAZING service. My sister, myself and our children 1 (1) year old, 1 (2) year old and 1 (7) year old cell to Chili's last night to enjoy the night out. I always order a White spinach queso. I ended up ordering this dish once again with no guacamole. The first time it came out it had guacamole on it and it was sent back to be remade. The second time it came out it was Yellow and tasted like nacho cheese. Mind you I order this dish alot so I know what it's supposed to look like and taste like. I felt bad sending it back in but it would have just been wasted. The manager came to our table and offered to remake my dish hisself. When he brought it out it was perfect. The fact that he went out of his way to remake it hisself ti make sure I was a satisfied customer is a rare trait that you find at restuarnts. Came here around 830pm on a Wed night and it still had a good amount of people still here. We sat at at the bar area and where greeted right away. She was very sweet and attentive. My family and I went to chilis to celebrate her birthday and wanted to try the restaurant since she has never eaten there before. She didn't care for the wet burrito. Corporate needs to stop demanding these places blast music at their customers. The whole hour we were there, it was non stop loud music so loud we could hardly hear each other. We asked if it could possibly be turned down since they had just opened and we were the only customers there. We were informed that they could try to turn it down a little, but sorry corporate controls how loud the music is. When asked why corporate demands they play the music so loudly, the staff apologized again and said corporate thinks it creates a fun and upbeat environment. Well, corporate, no it doesn't. It just blasts paying customers with noise pollution that most don't appreciate. I left with a headache, and my Dad complained to us many times about the music and how loud it was. The burger I had was literally dripping and drowning in grease and had my hands soaked in grease, my boyfriend's burger was also dripping grease. There's no call to have a burger literally drowning in grease. Plenty of places manage to make huge, tasty burgers, of similar fashion not drowning in grease. Also, last time my bf and a friend and I went, Al and I had their big boss burger with brisket, the brisket was nasty. My friend returned his order on sight alone when he got his, and I foolishly tried to eat mine, but finally ended up pulling the brisket off, and giving it to my boyfriend, and he's not a picky eater but said it wasn't very good. Staff was super nice and got me more bacon, and took my friend's burger off the bill and let him order something else, so that was very nice. The fries were bland and underseasoned and a pretty small serving. However the ice tea was fresh, and that's important to me since I don't drink sodas or other drinks. So if it hadn't been fresh and good, I wouldn't have had anything to drink. I would give this place a higher rating and go back again if they didn't blast loud unwanted music at customers, as there are several items I would love to order and try. read more

When I asked why is it not sizzling you said "it is a little bit" no that's not how fajitas should be served. She asked if I wanted it to be sizzling! It was my first time, disappointed though. The food was probably left under the light for too long, I asked for my burger well done, it was overcooked and rubbery. The fries were limp and soggy and half my bun was soggy from the mushrooms. They fry their potatoes and tortilla chips in the same oil because the fries tasted like corn tortilla chips. Oh man. What a joy. So, we came in and the restaurant was super slow on the bar side so we sat there. Our server was decent. Everything else was awful. We ordered an appetizer and a 2 for 22, which also has an appetizer. Our food beat the appetizers, so I asked them to please serve us the appetizers and remake the entrees, as we intended to have the appetizer first. Server said okay. He then came after the apps and told us our food was in the window whenever we were ready. I asked to talk to a manager and asked if he would please remake the food. He said sure. He then returned 3 minutes later with our food. I said, "they remade it in 3 minutes?" He said "YEP!" with a big thumbs up. I'm assuming they just microwaved my plate because my fiancé and sister's food was cold. I asked the server if we could just pay for the apps and leave. He said he'd talk to his manager again. 10 minutes later, he returned with the check. Overall, the store manager was so incredibly unprofessional and such an ass. Went during lunch and it wasn't busy but the waitress took awhile to get to our table. Seemed like others were waiting around for her too. Also took awhile to give us our drinks. I asked her if she could bring out my daughters food first since she's 18 months old .. kinda hard to keep an infant busy at a restaurant. Probably 20 min later she came out with all of our food and said the fajita trio took the longest and that's what we were waiting for .. My husbands food was not only cold but after asking "Becky" for a new order, she brought the same plate back with the same chicken just "warmed up". This was the worst service EVER. When entering the restaurant, there wasn't much of a wait find at all. That was promising. Once I got to my table, I noticed these new tablets that you can essentially use as your server. I was instantly uncomfortable with it, being a waiter myself. The place was not busy, this around 2pm. I opted out of touching the tablet and hoped to be greeted by a server. 5 minutes later I was unsure of whether I had to use the damn thing just to get service. Finally after what felt like too long, we were told we would be met with in just a moment, which took another 5 minute period. By then, we are 20 minutes into our trip before our server even took time to get our beverage order. The first words she spoke was something along the lines of, "we are short a cook today sooo...", which struck me as odd. Why tell a customer that? With 20 minutes to figure out our beverage order and meal, we got our order in. It then took another 5-10 minutes to get the beverages. Everything just seemed so delayed. The place wasn't busy at all and I couldn't help but notice a waitress bussing tables near us at a turtle pace and not helping out her fellow servers whatsoever. Where's the teamwork? The food wait wasn't too bad but one of our orders was screwed up and took another 5-7 minutes to get it back to the table. I'm just in shock that people go back to places like this. The management really needs to train these servers better and get these customers to feel important. I realize the tablets are likely a higher up decision, but it is a waste of money and ruins the reason I sit down to dine. I enjoy good service. If you're thinking of going to this chilis and getting good service, pass it up and go a few exits down the highway to Brookfields Restaurant. Better food, prices, and service. Save the frustration. I wouldn't ordinarily go to a franchise like Chili's. The food always seems so pre-packaged, but we had received a gift card, so last Saturday night my wife and I went out for dinner. Had a new beer; a Belgian brew that was excellent. The onion ring with jalapeno appetizer was delicious! The ribs were good, but not as good as I can do on my own grill.
