We have used this restaurant regularly during last 18 months. Food was very good. Last two times orders were not correct and one time food was cold as no one brought out food. Spinach cheese dip did not taste good. We had come to rely on them so disappointing. read more

Okay, I am going to admit something that I don't like to, I was wrong. I harp all the time about chain restaurants being not worth your time. I actually ate something at my local Chili's Grill that I wasn't expecting. CROW!- Not literally, of course, but I had to admit that I enjoyed every aspect of my visit. First off, the draft beers arrive in a frozen glass mug. I was impressed!, and as all you beer lovers know, it tastes better out of a cold mug. There were two of us dining, so we opted for the $20 meal for two, with two entrees and a shared appetizer. App was Texas loaded fries. a small cast iron skillet full of fries, tons of cheese, bacon, jalapenos and ranch sauce. This is a meal in itself. Piping hot and delicious! I opted for the Chicken Bacon Quesadillas, loaded with cheese, white meat chicken, bacon, fresh pica de gallo. Excellent choice for a warm afternoon, filing but not enough to weigh you down. ( Leaves more room for the loaded fries) Our second entree was the basic bacon cheeseburger. Thick and juicy, fully topped. Bacon was visible and detectable....you know some places are not visible or detectable, but they will charge you for it! Service was excellent, gentleman server was cheerful, attentive but not bothersome. So color me surprised, but this visit might have warped my view of chain restaurants. I want my money back, money back, money back, Chili's gimme my money back... WOW, what has happened to this place? Brought my kids there for dinner tonight, what a joke. Service was great, won't pick on that and I'm not a stickler on much but the price-point on what you get is basically like ordering concessions at a movie theater. A lot of money for next to nothing. We started with the Fried Pickles, that name should be changed to, A Fried Pickle. For seven or eight bucks, I expect a starter that should be able to be shared between at least two people. There was maybe twenty coin slices of pickle AT MOST and a little side of ranch (BTW wtf is that crap out of a bottle tasting garbage ranch Chili's is using now - for twenty years, Chili's could be counted on for having that delicious, "restaurant Ranch." Sad that's gone.) My son's kids meal, admittedly it's like $6 but he got the quesadilla, with fries and a drink. Again, c'mon Chili's for crap sake, MAYBE there was ten to fifteen individual fries on his plate... I mean C'mon. I sat there looking at it like it was a joke. My daughter gets a salad, some Southwestern Cesar with Shrimp. Again, price-point, AND Chili's of past had these colossal salads and for like fifteen bucks or so, I just expected more. But she was happy and that's all I really care about. Lastly, I got the Mushroom Chicken Jack Fajitas and yeah, they were pretty good and price-point of like seventeen bucks seemed fair. Their salsa sucked, it's completely uninspired but all the other aspects of it were tasty and I appreciated the option for corn tortillas. Again the server/service was great and I gave him 20%, bill was about $60 but the chintzy bs with the pickles, fries and salad chapped me enough that a place that was always our "go to" has switched to our, "never again." And I'd be remiss to not say again, don't be lazy Chili's and start home making your dressings again - both our Ranch and Cesar was undoubtedly your supplier's bottled crap. read more

We had been coming here weekly.. ever since it had opened. But we have noticed that over last 6ish months the service is not what it used to be. It is very slow from taking your order, getting food to finalizing the bill. Wait staff training has a lot be desired. Management needs to better manage employees And restaurant from what I've seen. We enjoy sitting in the bar section at this location. Service is always good and fast, and they always have good coupons for a free appetizer if you sign up for their email list. And I love their Skillet Queso! That is by far and away my favorite thing on their menu. Tuesdays are burger nights, and it offers a good value for a good basic cheeseburger. They have some really good desserts as well, not that I ever order them because I'm too full from the queso and the meal. Wish they had a larger draft beer selection. read more

When I eat, I usually stay away from chains, but Chili's it is when I go to one! This is one of my two favorite Chili's in the area. The staff and servers at this Chili's are friendly and efficient. My tea is always full and my order always correct. They have a much better food selection than rival Applbee's. Better value too. Mediocre place to eat. We came during happy hour, but no one told us it was happy hour. If we would have known our orders would have been different. But that happens. I had a margarita which was way to much mixer. Next we did the pick three appetizers fried pickles were bland, cheddar cheese balls where good, and the southwest egg rolls were great. I have a $25 gift card so I put that down, along with a $20 dollar bill because I had nothing smaller. We get our money back and it is only 3 dollars....Um hello! The register should tell you the correct change to give me back. We had to go to the bar (we were sitting on this side). Call our waiters attention and explain the difference. He then gave us 11 back. Still not even the right amount. I had errands to run and didn't care to keep going around with this guy since math is just too hard for him. But fair warning if you go be sure to double check your bill, what you were charged, and the amount of cash you receive back. Let me preface it by saying that I know we're in a pandemic. I was patient and understanding. This rating is based on service. I love going to Chili's and getting their fajitas. The food was great! We waited and waited and waited. Almost three times the wait time quoted but I understand that table availability in a pandemic is limited. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The waiter forgot about our appetizer. Fine, it happens. The fajitas came. They were good. Drink refills were not. The waiter brought the food and we didn't see him again. Until after I came back from the kitchen to get my own refill. The manager came to the table and said not to go into his kitchen again. My response is fine then provide service and he just repeated himself. I won't go to get my own refill if we had adequate service. He asked who our waiter was and we told him. The manager spoke to our waiter and voila, there's our waiter. The waiter finally came to our table to ask if we needed anything but since I got the drinks myself, we no longer needed anything. The worst service I've ever received at Chili's. Will not be back. The manager needs to learn how to talk to people. read more

I was craving steak and there is not much in Shawnee and it was about 8:30 so I stopped in at Chili's. The 6 oz sirloin was ok, the mashed potatoes were very thick, pretty tepid and not as flavorful as I expected. I started to scroll through the table top screen and hit on the trivia game. I was surprised it let me play a game without requiring a credit card swipe. I figured it was a trial offer or something. Nope...when I asked for my bill, the waiter told me it is on the tablet...it automatically charged for the game. Didn't like that very much. i usually don't write out reviews, but i was very disappointed after my late lunch at chili's this afternoon. we were sat and waited 20 minutes before anyone helped us. i think they only had 2-3 servers on, and as a fellow server i tried to keep my composure however i haven't eaten all day and was growing impatient. finally someone came around and my friend and i ordered a dr pepper each, along with the tri-dip appetizer and some brisket quesadillas. the dr peppers were HORRENDOUS and tasted stale asf. so we decided to get waters instead. it took 15+ minutes for us to finally get waters. the guac was good, but queso tasted like it just came out of a can, and salsa was runnier than water itself. chips also were completely crumbled, looked like confetti on a plate. the quesadillas were greasy. i paid full price and paid a little over $30 for mediocre dips and soggy quesadillas. personally, this was my last time at chili's. the 2 stars are for the guac and friendly host. read more

We stopped by for a late Sunday afternoon lunch which resulted in a less busy restaurant. We were in no means in any hurry nor did we give that vibe...it's Sunday, NO ONE should be in a hurry. Anyway, our waiter wasted no time in asking us right after our food arrived if we wanted to split the check. I mean, let me enjoy my first bite and then ask for my money! We kindly responded with our payment preference and moved on with our food. I really enjoyed my grilled chicken salad as it seems to work out better to have the dressing on the side. We have gone to this Chili's regularly for years but.....will not ever go back. Management has work to do. Restaurant was 1/3 full if that and it took 20 minutes to get a table ready. The guy shuffled around talking to people while we waited....could've been seated 15 minutes before. Server was absent for so long between seating and ordering we had to ask someone to find her. LOVE THIS PLACE! Best service ever!! The food is fantastic (I highly recommend the bacon ranch chicken quesadillas or the buffalo chicken salad). They have something for everyone! From delicious soups and salads to ribs and burgers to enchiladas and tacos! I love going there with the family or for a girls night out to get some yummy margaritas. Terribly slow service. They freely admit they are understaffed and have been for "about four months." This screams of poor management. Had to ask the hostess if it was serve yourself night after not seeing a server for for first 15 minutes after arrival. The dining room was not even full. The ribs and veges were not bad when they arrived but they forgot to do the guacamole tableside as they have been advertising. I believe this is limited to this location, however. This is one of the very few places that I've officially blackballed. I will not eat here again; which is sad, because just a few years ago, it was a decent to good place to eat. My final 3 experiences were all horrible. First of all, it's about a 15 minute jaunt from where I live, which is fine for take-out...unless you get home and your order is messed up. Ordered quesadillas (plain/chicken with cheese) and a steak (medium rare) with a baked potato. Got loaded quesadillas with everything (including onions which I'm allergic to), a steak (burned/well done/crispy) with fries. Called to complain...manager said to bring it back. At the risk of starving to death; I did so. Checked the order when I got there and it was still wrong. Finally after an hour and a half, the right order was had. Cue next visit...came in and ate at the bar. Took nearly 20 minutes to get a drink (granted, it was 4:30 and could be shift change...but people saw me...come on now), ordered food...came out wrong yet again...had to wait for the order to be corrected again. Are you seeing a pattern here? Last straw was the last visit back in May that ended up being a nearly identical experience to the first mentioned here. When you get simple orders wrong, don't cook food properly, are forewarned of food allergens, and don't really do anything to make it right...you get blackballed. I would like to start by saying that I work in a fine dining restaurant. When I go out to eat I do have expectations of the kind of service I should get but I am realistic about them. When I came to Chili's I expected to get waters have a decently polite server get the food I ordered pay my bill and leave. My experience was less than satisfying. The server we had seemed dismissive but maybe a bit shy. We ordered our food I got a beer and my guest had mango tea. My beer was not what I ordered however, the bartender took care of me and solved my issue, she wasn't the most pleasant person but she did well enough. This is why I rated 2 stars instead of 1. The food while not awful or inedible was unpleasant. My guest got a salad that was drenched in some sort of syrup (I'm assuming from the mandarin oranges) The lettuce became so soggy she was unable to eat it. I would not recommend this location, I paid $30 for a meal we didn't eat only to come home and make dinner. Lesson learned. read more

We had a party of four. One of our members is slightly handicapped and uses a Walker. We were seated by a young woman named Heather I believe. She immediately took charge and helped seat our friend, even pushed her chair up to the table. Moved the Walker out of the way. Our waiter was good. A bit busy. Good for restaurant hard for her. We got our salads about one second before the main course. We enjoyed our meals, two bbq ribs and two classic steaks. Well prepared. Our drinks were reasonably priced and we enjoyed our time spent there and will go back. When we stood to go, again the young lady was there to help us leave. Good for you Manager whoever you are. The cook forgot to put tomato sauce on the pizza. It was dry & not edible. They made up for it with wet, drippy chicken quesadillas. The manager agreed that the pizza was supposed to have sauce and that the quesadillas weren't usually soggy. She explained, "We have a new cook. Sort of." The mgr said she would take care of our meal. But the waitress brought a check to the table anyway, giving less than half-credit for the uneaten meals. Took a friend for dinner. Sent back my meal and was refunded. Very disappointing as I have had good experiences at other Chili's.

Just went back to give them another try after not going there for months. Server was nice. We ordered food. My husband ordered his steak medium. It came out well done. We told the server. They took the steak back and the manager brought it out to apologize. They cooked the same steak even more. Thought we said it wasn't done enough. After I had finished my meal and my husband his side dish, they brought the steak out and it was cooked correctly. The bill came and no adjustment to it. Went to pay on their table top machines. To add a tip, the tip meter is off. We noticed on a $40 tab adding 20%, the add on amount was $12. I was only leaving the tip because it wasn't the servers fault. As we walked out the door I told the manager how disappointed I was and that the tip meter was off. She said well it's not supposed to be. I will call that in. Ha! I'm sure she will.
