Chili's has been a staple in my life for sometime. Always a good go to when you can't decide where to eat. You know you can find something you want there. My best friend came from out of town and chili's was the descion. As we walked in, we stood for what felt like a long long time. As we finally got seated we ordered two drinks and then chips and queso. Then it started. First one.. Than many.. FLIES. Constantly swarming round and round. After a few swats I finally stood up and asked to speak to the manager. The manager came and I asked for the check. She respectfully agreed and went towards the back. Then out came the waitress with our food wrapped to go. And our full ticket. Ummm excuse me? Yeah sure let us take the food Togo that was made in your fly infested restaurant. Ordered fajitas for pick up, they made it for dining in and had to repackage it. Went to the bar and bartender ignored us and would t try and communicate our order properly. He forced us to sit down before we could order and he wouldnt tell us to sit down till we tried to order!My aunt ordered a bottle of beer and the bartender poured her a tap beer instead, he would t sell me a double shot of alcohol and was very rude during the whole transaction. Haven't dined at a Chili's for awhile and remember why not. The food is mediocre and not really what I enjoy. Although they try hard for the Mex taste, they fall short in the taste department. Probably because they scrimp on the taste adding ingredients. As an example, the dish I ordered was the ribeye bowl and included cilantro. The amount of cilantro didn't even fill a teaspoon. Only added color. The service was great though. Was greeted prompt and was given the names of our servers. Our main server was Krysa. This was her first day but we didn't know it until she asked how she did for her first day. She was great and attentive to our group. Krysa gets 5 stars. read more

Chili's is a chain restaurant that has pretty much the same menu at every location. The food is pretty standard at every location. The biggest draw or detraction from any individual location is the friendliness and knowledge of the employees. They were pretty standard here. Not bad but certainly nothing worth going out of the way for. The food was good and the location was clean enough. All in all I have had the same experience at every location I have been to and is one of the reasons I like eating at one-off places as often as possible. read more

Had a gift card from someone so tried the place out for lunch today. First thing I noticed was the glass on the front doors hadn't been cleaned for a while. Once we got inside there was this funky smell like burnt grease and moldy floor mop. We were seated and I started looking around. The place was filthy. Salt and pepper shakers were all crusty and the divider tops hadn't been dusted for some time. If I had been the regional director for Chili's I would fire the manager. The service was horrible. It took over 10 minutes for the server to even stop by our table, which when she finally did it was just to tell us she would be with us "in a minute," which turned into another 10 minutes before we got our drinks. The trend continued with the bad service, I won't bore you with the details, but to summarize our experience: horrible service, sub-par food (wings taste like there are from Tyson freezer bags), and standard Chili's atmosphere. No one really expects to get great food at a place like Chili's but you do expect to at least get something to drink in the first 10 minutes you are there. I liked the ziosks on the table, which made paying our bill extremely easy and quick. I can only imagine how long we would have had to wait for our server to bring us our check. read more

I have been to chilis many times over the past 13 years I have lived here and I haven't had a bad experience with the food or customer service. Devin the server was nice and very prompt about getting us our food and kept our drinks filled. I have been to other places in town that can't seem to get that right. No sure where to start on this one. Stayed the night in St. George and stopped here for dinner. Gus was our server first (we only saw him once) and said that Madde would be assisting him. Poor Madde, she was given multiple tables and we never did see Gus again. We had chips and salsa first and then ordered a side salad and entree. We tired to just order our salad because 9 times out of 10, our salad is delivered with entree. But we were told we had to order everything together but our salads would be out in just a few minutes, well before for our entrees. Well not this time, our entree was delivered first with no salad in sight. Madde didn't deliver the food, it was another serve who was so rude that we almost left. We told her we specifically asked for our salads first and she tried to force us to keep the entrees (she was rude and sarcastic), we refused the entrees. Finally got our salads and Madde came to check on us. When she found out what happened, she fixed everything up perfectly (she found out that the entrees were sitting under the warming lights for over 30 mins). We received fresh entrees and the food was very good. It was only because of Madde did the dinner turn out ok. We felt really bad that she was really burdened with so many tables and had no help at all. She did her best to help us and everyone else. Came in a few days ago and we were told they couldn't take parties over 8 because they didn't have enough cooks. They wouldn't even seat us as two separate tables. After spending an amazing Sunday in Zion, we needed some food so we stopping into Chili's in St George. There was a football game on, so the host offered us seating in the bar area, which we took. The host ended up being our waiter as well. Ultimately, the service recieved was so bad that we walked out before getting our food.. that we had been waiting an hour for. We watched multiple groups of people waiting to be seated walk out as well due to there being no one working as a host. The straw that broke the camel's back was watching multiple tables that came in after us recieve their food before us. One of these parties that was served before us included an off-duty Chili's employee that came in at least 15 minutes after us. It's a shame because we travel to Southern Utah fairly often in the winter, and like to eat in St. George before driving back to Vegas. The ribs were dry and had such a little amount of meat that I sent them back and the second go around was a tad bit better on the meat amount (very slightly) but just as dry. My sons broccoli was raw, not steamed and the Cajun chicken had some red seasoning on it that I suppose was supposed to pass for Cajun but failed. If I could give no stars I would! Horrible service! The host sat us promptly! We had a group of 6 arrived at 7:15 ordered our food with DEVIN promptly as we had tickets to a show at Tuacahn at 8:30! He came over to our table at about 7:30 and said "your food will be out in...." and shrugged and walked away! At one point only one person on our table had half a drink in their glass for over 15 minutes. He finally came and filled them and said "food will be out soon" (lie) and quickly left! We will never go back, this is the worst Chili's we've ever been to!!We were seated by the windows and they were disgusting and all the window seals we could see had old food in them. I could see the windows having finger prints on them if they had been busy and had lots of kids, but there were few people in the restaurant and no kids, they were just opening for the lunch crowd. To top it off I pulled my silverware out of the paper sleeve and the knife had old crusty dried on food on it. She wasn't wearing rubber gloves and apparently got some on her fingers because she licked them off, then went on to work on some other plates. Sorry to say, but I think Chili's is on the way out. Many of their other places are slow as hell! Food is reasonably good here. But the service is so slow, you could watch a movie while you wait. Chili's is one of my favorite places and the go-to place for my wife when we don't have other plans. I will never be back to this Chili's. The waiting staff was fine, helpful and accurate. The food was not fine. I like to go to Chili's because I know the menu and what to expect. At this Chili's the portions were small including the appetizer queso. It was probably half the portion I usually see. Two in our party go steak and chicken fajitas. The steak was grisly and the chicken was rubbery.
