I went to Chili's yesterday. They told me there would be a 15-20 minute wait, but we got called in less than 10 minutes. It took a very long time for a waitress to come to my table. My guests and I had to call on a random waitress passing by, who then got our table's server. She shortly came over & took our order. I have the rewards card so I can get free chips & dip whenever I visit Chili's. I told her and she said I had to wait until our order was in to put it into the kiosk & she walked away. I wanted to ask if she could just put in the chip/dip order with our main entrees, but she left too fast. This happened the whole night. There was such a lack of communication & our waitress barely took time at our table. She would show up & drop things off & walk away. She didn't stop by to question if there were any questions or concerns about our order or if we needed anything else. Anyway, I waited a few minutes & was unable to use the kiosk. I waited longer & still couldn't use it. I'm now thinking, "what's taking so long to put our order in?" The waitress came with the drinks & I asked her about it again & she just reiterated that I had to wait for my order to be put in to order appetizers on the kiosk & walked away. She also didn't bring enough straws for the drinks & walked away before we could even tell her. She came with the chips/dip and I told her I wish I knew she handled the situation cause I spent the last half hour trying to order it from the kiosk. We told her about the missing straws, and she brought more straws when our main entrees came. They were cheap on fries, but the food was good. We asked for 3 take-out trays for those who couldn't finish their food. I also said it's my bday and asked for my free dessert (part of the rewards program) to take home. She came back with 2 trays, not 3. I asked for the dessert & she said the offer expired. I didn't understand how if it was my actual birthday. I called for the manager and he was very polite & said he'll handle it. The waitress took about 15 minutes to come out with the dessert, but it wasn't wrapped up. I asked her for a take-out tray for it, plus the missing one for the food. She told us we can pay via the kiosk & never returned with the table. The bill on the kiosk charged for the dessert which should've been free. At this point, we haven't seen our waitress in 20 minutes. I had to call the manager again to give us the take-out trays & remove the dessert from the bill. He handled it right away. The kiosk didn't print our receipt, so we had to call him for a paper receipt for our records. Having to use the kiosk was a headache & the waitress wasn't professional. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. This is probably My favorite place to go to. It's Inexpensive and delicious. I use to go here often until I order Quesadillas as a go order for my sister. A quesadilla had a fake nail cook within it (an acrylic tip that had fallen off of a nail). DISGUSTING!!! Had a great time with the family. The only negative part was the slow and lack of basic service, for example water was never brought to out table and the wait for our main entree was rather long. Luckily we had our appetizers to keep us busy but even then we were finish with them way before main entree arrived. The wait was worth it because everything was delicious! I ordered myself lunch yesterday after seeing their $8 lunch specials on DoorDash. I got a boneless wing combo with fries, chili and a full sized beverage for around $12 (chili an additional $1 instead of the soups that come with the meal) and the drink wasn't included. This location of chili's is absolutely disgusting. First of all, I went during the time of the 3 for $10 offer and my order was a lemonade, my appetizer was a loaded baked potato soup and a pasta dish as my entree. When we got the soup, a family member of mine asked out waitress if the soup was piping hot and she replied very nasty saying: "It should be, it was in the soup pot for 30 minutes cooking." When she put my soup down, it was freezing cold. Which I'm pretty sure could have gotten me very sick. So my family member told the manger, he came around and said sorry and took our soups to give us new ones. When we got the new soup however, it was hot..BUT, there was sharp plastic in my soup that I almost swallowed! When we told the manager this time, he was very cold and just said sorry and walked away like he didn't care. Plus, the floors of this restaurant were filthy! You can see you bill and swipe your credit card on it when you are done. No more waiting for the waitress/waiter. You can rate your dinner on the little kiosk machines by taking a quick survey. Cons: This review is skewed because we had horrible service. Extremely long wait for menu, drinks, appetizers, steak sauce, etc... Our waitress would acknowledge when we asked her for something but then she never come back with the product. This happened twice. Example, can we please get steak sauce? Decent chain restaurant, pretty much your average no frills type establishment. Menu was generic and what you would expect. It was moderately crowded but I was seated quickly. They have TVs to watch different sports on. They crowd the tables real close leaving you very little room to maneuver, making it uncomfortable. The restrooms were dirty and needed a good cleaning. Stopped in with a few of my girlfriends from work during our lunch. We got seated right away. We ordered something right away so that way we wouldn't(well shouldn't be rushing) the place was no where near crowded. None of us ordered any thing that needed to take long to prepare. We were seated next to one of the stations that they keep the wrapped up knives and forks and some condiments like ketchup and hot sauce and stuff a waiter seated some other guests and went to get them some wrapped cutlery one of the wrapped sets fell on the floor this poorly trained waitress picked it up and flung it back in the basket. (by this time if i could give zero stars for that alone i would have) because that is down right disgusting not to mention a violation for a restaurant type of establishment. All in all if i was dying of hunger and was on richmond ave in staten island ever again i will not even step foot in this place. Very good! I come here pretty much every few weeks with friends. The two for $20 is a great deal. We order two drinks and the two for $20 and are never disappointed. My kids love Chili's and beg me to come here. It used to be a 4 star experience. Good food that appeals to the kids and a fresh entree for me (the mango tilapia was great!).
