Chili's came through for us! I took my department here for a happy hour -- we were headed somewhere else in the mall, but that place wasn't open yet. Thankfully, Chili's was nearby and it was a good time. It really was just one person. We were a group of almost 20, and Angela -- the only bartender there -- took awesome care of us. Drink orders, food, plates, more drinks... she was all over it. Stellar service for sure. She even stopped for a moment to take our group photo. The food was all good. We basically ordered every app -- boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, enchiladas, sliders, tenders, nachos, dips -- and everything came out great. Drinks varied. Most were ok, but the margarita of the month, some peach thing, was sickeningly sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed the El Niño margarita with Grand Marnier -- not too sweet. Chaotic yet fun! We came here the other night to have a nice friends dinner (it was super busy cuz it was a weekend night and that's on us) but the staff met the line moving and the servers were super friendly! Me and my family went here around a week ago because we wanted to try something new, we did have to try really hard to find a parking spot but then we finally got there, even though the wait time was 30 minutes, it was still an okay time to wait because the Palisades has a lot of cool places to explore. When we finally finished waiting, we got to our seats and it had a very nice homelike vibe, and the menus were very easy to read and had a very appealing look, I chose the chicken crispers and the triple dipper meal for me and my dad to share, the food arrived in less than 10 minutes and I started my meal by trying the fried mozzarella, and I kid you not, this literally had the ABSOLUTE BIGGEST CHEESEPULL that I have ever seen! My arm was all the way stretched out and my head was turned away, and the rest of the food was absolutely smack down heavenly, also dessert was amazing and was very creamy. 1st time in Chili's in over 13 years. After some shopping we decided let's give it a try, very good. The burger was extremely juicy, fries crispy and hot! Ribs were done very good (I do not like franchise ribs as they tend to be very dry and "skimpy" on the meat) not here!! This has to be said but no surprise, some items are super salty, overwhelming salty. The Mac and the chicken crispers after having more than 2 pieces it really begins to hit you. This is one of my favorite places to go when I visit the Palisades Center. It is located right across from the movie theater and Barnes and Noble. I love stopping by here for a quality meal. It is the usual chain restaurant but the specials do not disappoint. We tend to put our name down earlier since there usually is a line of people waiting for a table. They have a monthly drink special which I enjoy. Last month was the Mango Martini. This month they had a Thanksgiving special flavored drink. I enjoy their meal specials which come with an appetizer, entree, beverage, and dessert for an additional cost. I always tend to order the chips and salsa with the chicken bacon ranch quesadillas. It comes with the margarita and we tend to get a cheesecake slice for dessert. For around $15 you can't go wrong. I enjoy stopping by after watching a movie at the AMC. read more

Took myself on a little date before going to movies by myself at the Palisades, this was the first time I've ever been to Chili's and honestly it wasn't that bad. I got the triple dipper appetizer combo as my "entree" and it had the southwestern eggrolls, fried mozzarella and big mouth bites. I liked the southwestern eggrolls the best, but wish they would've been a little more crispy. The dipping sauce for them was honestly fire. Then the mozzarella, which was honestly perfect comfort food because its literally just a HUGE chunk of fried melted cheese, bigger than a normal mozzarella stick. This was my second time at Chili's, and I'm officially in love! The Triple Dipper is pure goodness and my absolute favorite. I especially loved the Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks, even though I don't usually like mozzarella sticks. I asked for the sauce on the side since it can be a bit oily, but wow, that cheese pull was insane! It really shows how fresh the food is when it comes out. Went here recently and the service was really good however my whole family got sick after eating here!

I came in with my friend on a Friday night in September . It looked a little busy but there were plenty of empty tables. We were seated promptly by the host and given menus. Our waiter came over and took our drink order while we browsed the menu. Our drinks came out quickly and I was pleased with the size of the margarita special they had for $5. Things went down hill from there. I ordered the trips fajitas my friend ordered the cajun pasta with shrimp. Half an hour elapses. Our waiter tells us the food will be right out so I go to the bathroom to wash my hands assuming it will be at the table when I come back. I come back and nothing. Another staff comes over and says "I noticed you have been sitting here awhile. What did you order" we tell him and he goes to check. I see our waiter come out of the kitchen and he sees me and makes a face as though he's surprised there is still no food in front of me and goes back in the kitchen. He then comes to the table and explains our food had been sitting in the kitchen waiting to be brought out but the receipt with the table number was missing so it was never brought out. He tells us it will be another 5 minutes as they are remaking our orders. Another 15 minutes elapses. The food finally comes out and my fajitas are sizzling which is a good sign. There is a plate with the fajita toppings which was just a sprinkling of cheese, a tiny scoop of pico de gallo, scoop of guac and scoop of sour cream and 4 tortillas wrapped in foil. The food was seasoned well but definitely not enough pico or cheese. My friend eats her cajun pasta and I take a noodle which tastes like alfredo sauce from a jar. The pasta is lukewarm. The waiter never comes back to check on us other than to tell us we can pay the bill on the machine on the table. We sat and I watched to see if the manager I had seen walking around the restaurant earlier appears again. My friend tells me the shrimp on her pasta was cold but she did not want to say anything since it took long enough for it to come out. After 10-15 minutes I give up and just pay the bill. Before leaving I speak with the hosts asking to speak with a manager as I was not happy with the meal. I tell them what happened and one goes to look for the manager. She comes back to say he is in the kitchen. I say again I would like to speak with them. She goes back to the kitchen to try to get him and is told he is busy. I ask to leave my name and phone number on a paper and will receive a phone call from the manager which I never did. I will NOT be back. read more

2.5 - one of the most understaffed Chili's that I've been to and it shows in the slow service and lack of cleanliness There was a wait even though there were plenty of tables available that were not cleaned off. The tables, bathroom and kitchen also looked like they needed a cleaning, which was not comforting especially in these times. We sat at the bar, hoping that would speed the food up but the bartender was busy and it took awhile to get our order taken and food to come out. When it did come out, the food was fine, as expected for a chain. The chicken breast with mango sauce was not dry though a little spicy and the broccoli was hard and tasteless. The tortillas were pretty good. The servers and host were nice but they seemed like they needed help and it showed to create a less than sanitary experience. I was expecting more and maybe others know that too, because the wait for other places like Yard House was considerably longer. A good lunch We were shopping in the Palisades Mall and stopped into this familiar restaurant chain for lunch. It is an inviting looking place from the outside, with seating open to the mall and a couple of people waiting to greet anyone who walks up. We were greeted and sat inside. Our server came right over. They offer some lunch combos where you pick from a couple of lists, I went with their Caesar Salad and Boneless Chicken Wings. The salad was simply a bowl of lettuce and croutons with a container of creamy Caesar dressing. That was disappointing. The boneless wings were not disappointing. They give you a few sauce choices, I went with buffalo. While the top few wings were not very saucy, further down where the sauce had accumulated, the wings were great. The wings came with a container of cool dressing that was not thick at all and did not come with celery or carrot sticks. Service was very good, we got lots of attention. In addition to all the usual server activities she also checked on us several times. A manager also stopped by to ask if we were doing ok. The only service type problem I had was in using the automated payment thing...again. I seem to be challenged when it comes to paying at Chili's. I got through it, although I may have messed up their printer trying to cram in my chip credit card. I had the Chipotle Chicken Fresh Mex Bowl and it was pretty mediocre. My friend had the Mix & Match Trio and it had tasted like the chicken was just defrosted and thrown on the grill. This restaurant was amazingly mismanaged! My daughter and I ordered sandwiches and they had to be sent back three times and they still didn't get it right? Then, the bill ceand it charged us for all of the sandwiches! Our waitress had an obnoxious attitude. After the wrong bill came, I asked her to send the manager over. After ten minutes, he still had not shown up so I went to find him. He came over and fixed the bill, but was not particularly apologetic. We were greeted by an energetic young lady who took our drink order, and unfortunately, that was the last time we saw her... The rest of our time here, we were "taken care of" by a young girl who I hope for her sake was new. She seemed to rich through taking our orders and was a bit slow bringing out additional drinks, straws, and steak knives. She did check on us a few times during our meal, which was good. The food was delicious. I ordered the chipotle line Tex mex bowl. Really good! I did request to have a particular ingredient omitted, but it still found its way to my plate :( I'm not allergic, so not a huge deal. I also ordered a strawberry Patron margarita. Damn the food here is salty! But for a chili's it's not a bad place to grab lunch or dinner, if you can stomach the saltiness of their food in general. I personally can, but make sure I dine here in moderation (like 1x or 2x a year!). The ribs here are not bad, and the $20 entree for 2 deal is pretty sweet. I had the honey chipotle chicken crispers and they were surprisingly good. Wash that down with some tasty (but salty) corn on the cob and yummy (but salty) fries and you're good for the day. The fire corn guacamole appetizer is also quite tasty. Previous picks - I also am a fan of their burgers. Definitely worth getting a juicy patty here, and I love washing down all that salt with my refreshing bottomless mango ice tea. I like the atmosphere here, it's pretty spaced out and in the middle of the Palisades mall. I like dining at this Chilis a lot more than some of the standalone restaurants. And it's cool to eat at one of the tables near the bar, where you can catch lots of games on TV on the weekends or in the evenings. read more

I finally did it. I broke my Chili's cherry. Having lived in the mid-west for half my life, most people would find this shocking that I've never been. Gimme those baby back baby back baby back ribs. I want those Chili's baby back ribs with bbq sauce. People give Chili's a lot of s*it. And you know what? It's not that bad. A few of my friends that live out in the Bronx picked me up from the end of the Blue line and drove me off on an adventure. After exclaiming they had a gift card to spend, how could I say no? I've also never been to the Palisades Mall and holy crap. You can spend a lifetime and all of your money here easily. Back to Chili's. We were having a conversation about what is Chili's really good for? It's not a place to go to really for like people after work in midtown or the city. Is it a restaurant? Is it fast food? I decided that it was the suburban equivalent of going out and a having a night on the town. You watch the game, you have a few drinks, some frickles. Life is good again, make someone else drive you home, and call it a day. Aside from being just awesome in general I feel like this place ALWAYS is happy hour. There's some kind of special going on every day/every hour of the week. Our waiter sold us on these $5 margaritas made with Crown Royal, tequila, and cranberry juice. They were strong and delightful. For food we split an app of onion petals. Tasty but I could live without them and their spicy brown mustard mayo sauce. For entrees we all got ribs. I went with the half rack. I should have stated that I wanted coleslaw instead of corn because I don't do corn on the cob but I got over it quick because those ribs were amazing. Falling off the bone and a nice kick to the house bbq sauce. Seriously. This was better bbq than I've had at some specialty bbq restaurants in the city and astoria etc. The french fries were also solid with being a cross between crispy and soft in the middle. The guacamole was not bad the chips are pretty thin and on the salty side. We each ordered a beer and instead of bringing one large glass they brought out 2 6oz glasses so one got warm while you drank the other For dinner my girlfriend has the tacos: fish taco was a kick in the back end but a nice sauce to complement it. The prime rib taco is great. The addition of avocado is not something I would normally expect to see but was pleasantly surprised, carnitas taco had lots of flavor but is missing a sweet element like mango. I had the 6oz field with avocado. I ordered the steak medium well and it was served medium to medium rare.
