Beef Ban mi was super yummy and my cappuccino also. My husband got the chicken Ban mi and it was pretty good too, not as good as mine but quite good. He also had a frozen drink with boba that was good. The balls were much smaller than other boba drinks so you get a lot in your mouth when you sip. It's not overwhelming though. read more

This is a gorgeous place. A small, Vietnamese cafe with the perfect atmosphere. The food is delicious, there's so much seasoning that makes it an authentic dish. I had the taro latte which was not sweet, but I had realized that they had given me sugar crystals for me to sweeten it. Definitely a great drink if you're a taro lover. The seating is really nice but it is small so it's great if you're meeting a friend or two for lunch, dinner, or just some quality conversation. The tiny banh mi was $7.25 & the bread was burnt black I brought it to the counter where they agreed to at least toast the bread brown BUT when the sub was brought back to me, the guy dropped the napkin on the floor & instead of getting a clean napkin from the counter next to him, he just picked up the napkin from the dirty floor to put it with the sandwich, needless to say who knows what other unsanitary habits are common there! I come here whenever I'm in town and everything I've ordered is always delicious. Definitely one of the best boba places in the area. I love the "power C" or guava frap. It has so much flavor and its it's something you can only get here. The taro is so much better than any other taro boba I've had because unlike most places, they use the real fruit to make it. The viet frap is so flavorful, and I love the black tea. I tried the matcha and I didn't expect it to taste so good. It had just the right amount of sweetness. I recently had the beef bahn mi and it smelled and tasted amazing. The people that work there are very nice and are willing to make the food/drinks the way you want them. I visited this place for the first time about ten days ago, and the experience was so good I came back with my partner three times since. We've had the matcha on the rocks, the matcha latte (no powders or artificial flavors), the Vietnamese coffee (hot and cold), the Jasmin milk tea, and their beef banh mi and rice cake/eggs bite food. We've been surprised they are so good at making tea AND coffee AND delicious snacks! I personally love the modern/chic take on the oriental room seating area with low tables and cushions, where you take your shoes off and sit to enjoy. I have also brought my work to do here for a few hours and it was perfect for that (with the caveat that internet is a bit slow). The owner is very kind and personable, he welcomed us and made sure we loved our drinks before we committed to them, he also brought some hot jasmine tea for free after a couple of hours of studying, which made me want to give him a hug :). This place is much cozier than many of my habitual places in DC and serves authentic bubble tea, so it makes it well worth the trip to the burbs! read more

Adorable family run shop in the Lee Harrison area. Trendy rustic, homey decor and a very friendly staff. Their menu is constantly expanding and diversifying. When you walk in your instant reaction is OMG this place is so cute! It really has the ambiance of many cafes in Asia and the decor really made the place a DIY heaven! They don't really have a huge drink selection but I was content with what they had which were like major drinks. The frosty mango is what I'd recommend and it tastes like real mango. They also have this special handmade cream they put into it and it really makes the drink stand out. I also had the taro milk tea trap and I didn't really like the texture because it was a little chalky because they must have used real taro but it was still good! They also use reallyyy tiny bubbles, not the typical size bubbles in other places. There is also an option to put you drink into a really cute glass bottle for only $1 more and I definitely did that. It looked so good in pictures and I literally had a photoshoot for my drink in the store. read more

My girlfriend was drinking her Mangonata-- and for those of you who enjoy this drink, you all know that it comes with a thick tamarind straw that you can chew the tamarind off of. One of the employees came by and gave my girlfriend a regular plastic black straw in case she wanted to use it to consume the base and if the tamarin coating was in the way. Absolutely love this place! They use freshest ingredients to make the yummiest drinks. That being said my favorite is the Taro "frap" aka smoothie. It has a more authentic taste rather than other places that uses powder, so now other places just don't hit the spot anymore for me. The decor is so cute and instagram worthy. The owners or whoever designed it definitely have an eye. They also have an iPad by the register with pictures of all the drinks if you can't decide or want to see what it looks like. I have also had other drinks like their matcha green tea on the rocks, frosty mango, jasmine milk tea, and volcano mango frap, which were good. The fraps are however in a larger cup than other drinks so you get more bang for your buck, which I'm all about. I absolutely love coming here and make any excuse to go, but one word of advise is watch out for the teeny boppers (kids who think they are grown), almost each time I have been here a group of them hang out there. read more

As a former employee I will personally never be eating here or stepping foot in this establishment again. First off, this place is incredibly unhygienic. Cooks do not wear gloves, raw meat is left defrosting everywhere, strainers of vegetables are placed on top of trash cans, roaches, etc. I once walked into the kitchen and witnessed the manager's wife trimming her dead foot skin. Secondly, the manager keeps all the tips from the tip jar and does not give them to employees which is what the customers think happen. No changes were made when confronted about it. On top of that, it is an incredibly negative and taxing work environment. If you were thinking about working here, I strongly advise you reconsider. LOVED this place. It's the perfect place to work or chat with friends casually, the breakfast was delicious (I had the rice paddy cake, but it's like an egg omelette not a cake). Their Vietnamese warm latte was very good with just the perfect amount of sweetness, they also made it look cute which is a bonus :) (I seriously love their clear glass cups). I also had the taro latte but I don't think taro is my thing so I'm gonna stick to a latte even though the taro was so pretty and purple hah. I think the ambiance and decor is a major game changer here, besides the great food and drinks, I have never really seen a cafe with a corner for sitting cross legged and and an electric fireplace in the corner.
