Chicken Tenders Parmesean cheese and fries

This place is interesting. There are two sides of this restaurant. When you walk in the hostess asks chicken or sushi and based on your answer, they have you sit in certain areas. We wanted chicken so we sat in the front room. They have a few small tables in a small area. They are pretty close in vacinity. If you like your space. I dont recommend sitting on the chicken side. Perhaps try the sushi area. Food came out pretty quick. I ordered spam kimchi rice which came with an pan fried egg, cabbage and seaweed. The flavors were really good. A little spice kick to it. My husband got the tenders and pitcher of beer. We loved the beer! We ate almost all of our food my only thing is I really didnt get a lot of spam in my rice. Other than that I will definitely be back maybe try the sushi side next time!

Food was really delicious and freshly made, good amount of flavors to choose from, got the soy garlic and sweet & mild and was really good. Service was amazing , server Soda was really helpful and nice. Ambiance of the restaurant was very fitting to the Korean fried chicken pubs.

I have been coming to this place for years and it's always been amazing. In the past few months, especially with the new management the food portions have been lacking especially with the increased prices. I understand inflation and everything but dude. The trays used to be packed w fries, now I get 10 fries? Every time I come it's less and less food. I'm pretty devastated because with the pretty pricey meal I'm paying for I'd expect to be satisfied and not still be hungry afterwards, please chimak. - from your biggest fans that dine here every month

Chimak House is conveniently located just off the 91 with plenty of plaza parking. The restaurant itself has a cozy, pub-like vibe, but we were surprised to learn that it's connected to other restaurants in the same building, each with different menus and ambiance. We came on a Friday evening as a party of three and asked to sit inside, not realizing we were actually in the sushi section--but our server kindly accommodated us. We started with the Tteokbokki, which had a nice kick, and followed with two flavors of wings (soy garlic and level 2 house sauce) plus the spicy pork skillet. While the portions were generous, all the main dishes were much sweeter than expected--sweeter than any Korean food I've had before. The standout was the fries, which were crisp and well-seasoned. Service was mixed: helpful and flexible at the start, but less responsive later. We asked for kimchi or something to cut the sweetness and were told none was available. We finally got a spicier sauce near the end, but it was also super sweet. Overall, Chimak House has potential, but the flavor profile leans very sweet, so if that's not your thing, be prepared.

Amazing! I wished they had more variety for the food but it makes sense why they would be more popular with their chicken and it says in the name hahaha, this place is always good to just hangout with friends and talk for some time. Definitely recommend and will go back!

We were able to come to this place after a night of bowling and was looking for some food that was open around 9pm. The service was quick and friendly and we were helped rather efficiently. The interior is a bit cute and and comfortable with warm mood lighting and had not a lot of seating so definitely would get packed on a Friday night. The food was okay. we ordered the rice cakes and got extra rice cakes but the portion sizes looked a little smaller than we expected for the price. The Korean fried chicken was good! The miso was definitely our favorite flavor. I'd have to try their other dishes in the future

Food was delicious and the portions were much larger than expected (even the drinks). It's a great spot to catch up with family/friends but be warned, it was hotttt inside. Luckily I had my personal electric fan with me. I'll definitely be coming back when the weather cools down. The chicken was cooked well; crunchy with just enough sauce to not be overwhelming. The appetizer sampler was good for our table of four and the drinks were big and cute for pics.

Very small but cute restaurant with bench style seating and K-pop videos playing on the tv screens. My husband and I were here shortly after opening and remained the only customers during our time there. We shared the spicy pork skillet, 20 piece wings and their diy soju cocktail mix (soju, sprite, yakult, and melons ice cream bar served on ice in a bucket). Portions were large and perfect for sharing. The wings & fries were crispy and flavorful, and the spicy pork was delicious as well. We had more than enough food for the both of us and took leftovers home to enjoy as another meal. Our server was helpful and attentive, and seemed to be working at the other restaurant attached to Chimak house as well. Highly recommend & will definitely be back!

Interesting little spot. Very very casual, overall great food, staff is courteous. They went over menu when I asked since it was my first time. The food is full of flavor and made to order. The beer was my favorite, very light and great combo with the meal. Will be back for a quick casual run.

Made the trek to Riverside to celebrate a good friend's bday! For IE, this spot is decent. Their lemon pepper wings were the best in my opinion. Zesty with a light crisp and crunch.. lovely through and through. Spam fries were just ok to me?? The other people really liked them though since they ordered 3 helpings haha. Topokki was on the sweeter side and didn't have much of a kick. I'd get the seasoned fries again! Shout out to our waitress who kept our table's orders and drinks nice and organized with our group of 15.

Now this place is arguably the best Korean fried chicken and beer spot in Riverside today. Welcome to Chimak House. The name itself is loosely translated as chicken and beer, so they gotta know what they're doing, right? We'll start the meal off with a do it yourself soju cocktail kit. You can also show off a little bit of your cooking skills by putting these kimchi rice balls all together for you. Super delicious, super delectable, loved it. The rice cake and dog skewer is definitely a must try. Spam fries are super crispy and light, not salty like other places. Now the bulgogi plate has gotta be top tier. After a quick palette cleansing with some peach soju, time to get to the good stuff, the wings. Their double fried method definitely keeps the crunch going. The garlic soy flavor was nice and savory. All the while the sweet and mild was nice and tangy. After some slaw and pickled radish, you know, we had to finish off with that great lemon pepper that everyone loves. Gotta check them out. Come through.

Good service. Love the ambiance. It gives Korean gastropub vibes. I love that their chicken is not heavy at all on coating. It's actually super crispy and flavorful. If you get the spicy soy garlic, be careful of the heat. It piles up and lingers. But it's so flavorful! It's worth the risk :) They also have the good Korean beers Terra and Klaus! Their spam fries is to die for. Would recommend for date nights and hangouts with friends.

The banchan was delicious and had a nice variety, including radish stem kimchi, cucumber kimchi, fish cakes, soybean paste with nuts, fried eggplant, and more. Everything tasted fresh and well made. We started with the fried dumplings, which were crispy on the outside and filled with really tasty filling. The soybean stew was packed with flavor and had potatoes, onions, and zucchini--super comforting. The short ribs were juicy and flavorful, especially with a side of rice. The pork cutlet was perfectly crispy, and the dipping sauce added just the right touch of sweetness. Even the salad was good, with a dressing that wasn't too overpowering. They serve hot barley tea and water, and you can buy canned soft drinks if you want something else. Everything we had was delicious--honestly, there wasn't anything I didn't like. Prices were fair, and the customer service was great. Our waitress checked on us several times to make sure we were good and even showed us how to make rice porridge using the hot barley tea and the crispy rice at the bottom of the pot, which ended up being really good too. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, well-lit, and has lots of natural color (tans, brown). It appears to have been recently remodeled. There is plenty of seating and open space. This restaurant is great for groups of all sizes. We'll definitely be back to try more items.

I think this location got bought out or has new management as it is no longer called Da Rae K. No…read morecomplaints on the tofu soup, however the only had one heat "setting", being mild. I am used to soon tofu soup having multiple levels of spiciness. Also no raw egg is offered without the soup, this I also found odd. Also, banchan was very disappointing. This is what makes the meal for me. Kimchi was not fermented enough and was a pale orange color, fishcake was not offered without you asking, there were no cucumbers, scallion pancake, seasoned bean sprouts, potatoes, or noodles. The flounder offered was very tasty but again, offered at the end of the meal when we were wrapping up. I'm used to this being offered at the beginning or during meal. I think I would only go back if they ramped up their banchan but I did ask, and they said they won't really rotate their banchan :( staff was very attentive but the food will make or break it for me. Hoping I can retry in the future once they're more established.

Reading some of the previous reviews gave me a chuckle. What do you mean it was too cold inside?…read moreYou're about to stuff your face over an open fire grill. Don't want to be sweating while you're eating. Coming from highland/redlands, I am happy that there is a ayce kbbq spot in close proximity. Starting with cons: the parking is absolutely terrible. Parking spots are cramped and there's simple not enough spaces, especially during peak times. Pros: now as a long time ayce bbq lover, I understand that red castle quality is not top tier and I don't expect it to be when I go. I view red castle as an affordable joint to get my brisket and beef belly fix, which are the only two items that I basically get. It's odd reading about others experience with service, because every time I go, the service is always fast. I don't need to ask for the grill change because they are fully staffed and consistently checking in. Sure, the hospitality could improve a little but realize what you're going in there for. To stuff ya face! If you're coming here and comparing this place to other kbbq joints, you'll surely be let down. But to enjoy ayce protein for ~25 bucks without having to clean and prep a solid meal, many would realize the true gem that is Red Castle. I remember when their ayce was 13-15 bucks when they opened. Those were the days. I'm also glad that they allow single dining during the week. Not something that I'm able to take advantage of most of the time bc of work but I'm glad it's offered. To all the kbbq snobs (I'm one of them still). Go pay 40 for ayce somewhere else and be happy. Red castle is my go to for a quick fix that is close to home and affordable.
