Cup of soup included with the lunch special, great wish it came with crispy noodles though.

Two of us ordered lunch specials: I got the Beef with Mushrooms and my partner got the General Tso's. Both were a great deal for the price, good sized portions, and they come with a cup of soup too. My beef with mushrooms had insane flavor and I will be back asap for more. The fried rice was pretty good for a lunch special and the white rice is so fluffy! General Tso's has a decent kick, so be careful if you're more of a mild General Tso's person. Only downsides: the takeout bag had stuff leaking everywhere, and the egg rolls got soggy from steaming in the container. Also would've loved the crispy noodles for the soup. Dine-in is super limited (one table), but they do have chairs if you're waiting on a pickup. Parking was surprisingly easy: instead of pulling straight off the busy main road, you turn onto the side street and enter the lot from there, so you don't have to panic trying to cut into traffic. There's also a decent amount of parking around the area. Staff was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed.

I was impressed with my dine-in visit at this new restaurant. My chicken with mixed vegetables lunch included egg roll or crab rangoon with choice of soup, and was reasonably priced at $6.25. The portions were generous, there was a good amount of tasty white chicken, a good variety of vegetables, a brown sauce that was flavorful without being overpowering or salty, and especially delicious fried rice, which was flavorful and very moist, with bits of fried egg - mmm! The service at the counter was welcoming, efficient, and fast (soup served in two minutes and entrée served four minutes later) with a genuine interest in making sure everything was satisfactory. The dining area was small (two booths), spartan, and clean. Background music would have been a nice addition, but this is primarily a take-out place. Overall, very nice!

The food is delicious. In my opinion it's the best Chinese takeout can be. The prices are reasonable as well and the service is timely.

You do have…read moreto pull off of a busy road straight into the lot, but it's easy to find in the strip of stores and there were plenty of spaces. By the time I grabbed our food and headed back out, the front spots had already opened up again. We did two lunch specials for around $20 total, which feels like a steal for how much food you get and how good it was. We ordered the Chicken with Cashew and the General Tso's lunch specials, both came with soup and a side. The cashew chicken was seriously incredible. A lot of places overload this dish with veggies until it turns into chaos, but this one was balanced with the right mix of ingredients and is easily one of my new favorites in KC. Only bummer: hardly any cashews. Still delicious, but I wanted a little more cashew love. Crab rangoons were hot and crispy with a solid filling even after a bit of a drive home. The fried rice had great flavor, and the steamed white rice was bouncy and soft, not that kind with crispy dry edges. Both soups were spot on, and THANK YOU for including wonton strips. A lot of places skip them and it really can make or break egg drop soup for me. General Tso's had great flavor, but the chicken pieces were a little big and it wasn't very spicy, even though we didn't order it no spicy. Not a dealbreaker, just something to know if you want that classic kick. Inside is clean and cute with tables for about 8 to 10 small groups, the front desk is toward the back, and everyone was kind and helpful. As an Elite, I also loved seeing their Yelp pride around the restaurant. Overall, super solid lunch specials and I'll absolutely be back!!

I usually come here for dim sum, and it is upsetting for me to say that my husband and I should've chose somewhere else to eat for dinner. For dinner, we ordered fried rice and chow fun. Those two main entrées were okay. You can't really mess up those two fillers at an Asian restaurant. We ordered scallion pancakes- they came out soggy and soft. Not even crispy like how they usually are. The flavor wasn't there either. If I wanted microwaved scallion pancakes, then I would've bought them from the store and made them myself. My husband ordered the short ribs- they were bland and tough like rubber. It had a funky taste to it that he couldn't describe and he had to force himself to swallow it because he didn't want food to go to waste. I ordered the chicken feet- this is one of dim sum's signature dishes and I am so upset I didn't even get to enjoy one of the dishes I always order. It was dry and the flavor wasn't there. The service was fantastic. They checked in on us and made sure our water was filled. The timing of the food coming in and out was fine. The ambiance was inviting. There was a sense of urgency and I appreciated that.

Their menu consists of a lot of dishes, and some are quite unique .. you don't usually see items like bird's nest dishes at most Chinese restaurants around here except for maybe Bolings. Me and my husband visited on a Saturday night around 8 pm and really devoured our meal. The menu can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but you honestly can't go wrong with stir fries at any Chinese restaurant. For appetizers, we ordered chicken egg rolls, which were hefty and filling. For the main course, I ordered the chicken in black bean stir fry, and my husband got the shrimp Kung Pao chicken stir fry. We paired both with steamed rice. The black bean chicken was rich and earthy, with that deep, slightly funky flavor from the fermented black beans. It was very umami, salty and complimented nicely with the fresh, crisp vegetables and well-cooked chicken. I really liked it. The shrimp Kung Pao was spicy and tangy, with perfectly cooked shrimp (the fried shrimp covering was chefs kiss) and crispy veggies. Overall, we really enjoyed the food. The egg rolls were about $4 for two pieces, and the stir fries were around $17+ each. The portions are quite large compared to other places in the area, so the pricing seemed reasonable. For 2 main course dishes your bill could easily reach up to $40. Otherwise, The restaurant was clean, the staff was kind, and service was quick. It also wasn't too crowded when we visited. I would rate the service 4/5, mainly because we had to ask for silverware, condiments, and tissues separately. The food, though, is definitely a 5/5. Highly recommended! I will definitely return to have more dishes like beef chow fun, the soups and last, but not least BIRDS NEST!!
