I rolled out of bed and decided that I didn't want to cook and looked up a nearby takeout place. China Chopstick Company was close enough so I ordered the general gau chicken lunch special which came with a choice of rice (white or pork fried) and side (egg roll, spring roll, chicken finger, crab Rangoon, or fried wontons) for $7.95 before tax. Came with your typical soy sauce packets, fortune cookie, and a container of their house made duck sauce. Location: Very close by, less than 10 minute walk for me. Location gets 1 star Chicken: In my lunch special, I only had 6 pieces of chicken which was garnished with four broccoli florets. The chicken is made of chicken breast but all the pieces were different sizes resulting in half the pieces being overcooked and dried out. The sauce itself was extremely thick and gloppy. The broccoli was not drained well after being steamed resulting in a pool of water. Side: I chose the chicken fingers and received three as the side. Typical of chicken fingers, it was made of chicken breast. The batter was a bit on the thick side but was well cooked. However, the chicken finger as a whole was pretty bland. Rice: The fried rice had a few pieces of roast pork and no veggies. The rice was dry, seasoning was insufficient, and colored with food coloring to give it the dark color. Out of few pieces of pork included in the rice, about a third of them were fat pieces which were inedible. There was so much rice it might as well be labeled as pork fried rice with a side of general gau chicken. Overall, I was pretty unsatisfied with the food with the location being the only thing to receive the star in this review. I may return but for other items and opt for the white rice instead if I do decide on the combo platters. read more

Very very pleased! When I moved to Boston 6 years ago I was devastated to find that there is NO good Americanized Chinese place anywhere. If we liked a place (like China Wok in Allston), it would quickly lose its taste quality each time we'd go there. So we stopped going to Chinese restaurants and filled our Asian cravings with Thai food. We just moved to Quincy almost a month ago and I am happy to report that this place made our bellies VERY HAPPY. First time in a long time we weren't grossed out by the food we were eating that came out of a Chinese restaurant. I got the Szechuan chicken and Hubs got the orange chicken. Yummy yummy in my tummy. Baby in the Baking liked it too and has requested I go back. I sure hope this lasts. This is essentially a first impression review. read more

While China Chopsticks has been closed, I have tried a few other Chinese restaurants. So far, no other even comes close!!!! They are the best in the Quincy area. Had a delivery. I think i had there food once b4 but remeber if it was bad or good ...typically thats means there where unimpressable. If it was really bad then id certaintly remeber. I also made the decision based on they where only 20-30min wait and everywhere else was. 45-60mins. Well i know why they were only 20-30mins because there food was dry and not well flavored. AND they were over priced. I would only give one star but i dont want to be mean so I gave them a 2.. Awful. I really-really don't know how people say this place is so good. Perhaps it was a bad day, but the food was greasy, no taste whatsoever. The Peking ravioli and scallion pancakes were burnt. Don't even bother, waste of money. We legit threw everything out. read more

Ordered take out from here 2 weeks ago. The ordering process was smooth and the food was hot and tasty. I was excited to have the general gao's chicken and the orange chicken because they make it with breast meat. The chicken was cooked well, but not the most moist. The veggie fried rice was good and the lobster sauce was good as well. We added scallion pancakes at the last minute, which they accommodated nicely. Unfortunately the pancakes were not good :( They were thick and doughy instead of the usual crispiness. Over all this place is good but not great. The portions were large. I would order again for the fact that they use the breast meat for the chicken instead of tiny pieces of dark meat like most places. read more

Got some food delivered from here this week and it wasn't bad at all but I've had better. The food at least came sooner than expected and was still hot when it arrived. We got one of their PuPu Platters and the two things I liked best from that were the chicken fingers and crab rangoons. They gave us a pretty good amount of food. If you go to the restaurant there is a tiny bit of seating but not much (maybe about 4 tables) so I usually see most people doing takeout there. I don't know why this place has these reviews. It was actually so good. My boyfriend and I were hungry at 10pm and a lot of places in Quincy close by now. I'm usually skeptical about ordering Chinese take out but I'm glad I did. We got the spicy pad Thai and crab Rangoon's. I was shocked at how good the pad Thai was due to it being a typical Chinese spot but it was so flavorful and perfectly spicy. China Chopstick is my go-to Chinese food place. I inevitably end up craving it on Mondays (the one day they're closed), of course, but I make up for it on other days. The staff is extremely friendly and orders are ready super quick. I love seeing the kitchen right in front of me and you know everything is always fresh! Of course, it's Chinese food, the fried stuff is greasy but delicious. I'm in love with their pork fried rice and it will forever be my favorite, but it's because the rice is almost solely fried rice. There's some pork, but it's not much, and there's very little onions. If you've got picky eaters or kids, they will love this fried rice because it's so easy to pick out the pork! If you like your fried rice with peas, carrots, egg, onions, and tons of pork, you're not going to be pleased. But this is perfect fried rice otherwise. The flavor and cooking is spot-on. You can't go wrong with their all-day specials (check out the back of their menu), which are some of the cheapest I've seen in Quincy and offer HUGE portions. You can easily get two meals out of them. Or if you're super hungry, you could at least have leftover fried rice because they give you tons! Phone orders are ready in ten minutes almost always, but I love ordering inside because they have free hot tea. Plus I'm a regular, so I like to say hi. I have recently moved to Quincy and I am glad I did my yelp homework on this one... They are very friendly, and I have orderd take out from them several times now. My only issue so far is they are not open Mondays! I like the fact that they take their time on the phone to make sure nothing gets lost in translation, this is not a dig on them at all, they just like to get it right, and as the customer I like the security I get with their attention to detail on that front. It also suggests to me they have a high level of attention to detail in the kitchen and food preperation as well, and the quality of the food bears that out. Most importantly, all the other yelpers are very accurate when they talk about how (amazingly) ungreasy the food is, even the deep fried food. Normally if I eat anything fried, I must wash my hands and face a dozen times of the course of the night, but not with them. And if there is such a thing as "fat free" boneless spareribs, they are serving them up. A few reviewers have remarked that they thought the boneless spareribs in themselves were cut into small pieces (the portion is still huge) I think that is because at some point they are trimming all the fat off. That is a great trade off to me! I love the sweet and sour it has pine apple and marachino cherries in it... I don't think it comes out of a can like it does in other places. Not that I am complaining, but I would not mind seeing a little green pepper, carrot, and onion in the sauce. My room mate ordered the peppersteak and meatless lo mien last time we ordered in. I think we are going to be ordering in again real soon because I think I need to try some pepper steak and lo mien now. Again, my only real issue is that they are closed on Monday and maybe close a little earlier in general. read more

My order: General Gau's w/pork strips & pork fried rice, Peking ravioli and Hot & sour soup. Chicken was cut in larger strips, but was good. A nice balance of chicken and batter w/sauce, not overwhelming of sweetness/sauce or doughy batter. Fried rice is your typical fare, not amazing, but yummy. No complaints on the Peking ravioli's or hot & sour soup, they were good too. The pork strips (slabs) were uneventful, not a lot of flavor other than pork, moist though. Their egg rolls and chicken fingers are sooooo good as well ! Only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because the crab ragoon were not filled fully yet they were great ! I ordered the combo with chicken broccoli and pork fried rice and it was great . They were fast and I like how before they handed me my food , they made me confirm my identity ! Had a passionate lust for Chinese food the other night, usually I try and stay away but figured once in a great while it's okay. Since living in Quincy I've always wanted to try this place out so I finally did and it really wasn't that bad at all! You know how you grub down some Chinese food you regret every bit of it? I didn't. The order consisted of the usual fixings..boneless spareribs, beef teriyaki, chicken wings, crab Rangoon, and lo mein..mostly all smalls. Other than the chicken wings being some what over cooked and dry without much meat everything tasted pretty good and wasn't really greasy! Beef Lo mein - smaller noodles were used which was good as I hate big mooshy ones, plenty of beef also. Beef teriyaki - these were different then what I'm used to..some what gingery and tasted very good! Chicken wings - over cooked, dried out, not very much meat..did not like these. Boness spare ribs - even for a small portions were big, they had a jerky kind of texture which I sort of like..wish the pieces were cut larger. Crab Rangoon - light, crisp, not greasy with a sweet tasting cheesy filling which I enjoyed a lot..definitely order a large order of these! Word to the wise --- When placing your order over the phone, ensure you check and double check the person who is taking it that they got it right. I placed an order here and ended up not getting what I wanted. I should have checked back w/ the person taking the order, so that's completely on me. This place is great! We just ordered here two days ago. They said delivery would be 30 minutes, but they came in 20. The food was hot and fresh. The spring rolls and crab rangoons were hot and crispy as well! My husband got the General Gao's chicken and I got the beef with broccoli. I've had better beef, but was ok for Quincy. I've had horrible experiences at other asian food take-out places, but this place did not disappoint! I will eat here again. The crab rangoons are REALLY good. The batter almost tastes like a sopapilla and the filling isn't really too crabby at all. I hate seafood, but I like these. They're mostly cream cheese! read more

Cheap American Chinese Food - you know it's not good, but we can't stay away, our usual place was closed so we panicked and picked CCC because it was close and had decent reviews. It's ok. Anything with a breading was doughy and weird & the dumplings were fatty. Not bad just not great. The person on the phone and the delivery guy were very nice. Nothing stood out that will convert us from the regular place but it did the trick. read more
