This buffet was pretty good. Did a great job with COVID guidelines. We were a very large group and everyone was very pleased.

For the money, this is a great value. My mother and I found it by accident, and now it's one of our regular lunch spots. For what they charge, I don't know how they stay in business! Great selection. My husband and I went here on Sunday 8/7/22, it was packed, but they were constantly putting food out. It was okay....the steak in the pepper steak was tough. Our waiter didn't really check on us, my husband asked for more water. The waiter took my husband's cup as well as another guy's cup sitting next to us, he brought them back. Our concern was how did he know or remember who's cup was for who?? Therefore, my husband didn't drink his water. I didn't really feel like he deserved a tip, but I decided to leave him atleast $2.00. My bill was $34.62 plus the $2.00 total $36.62. Which I wrote out on the ticket. Once my bill cleared through my credit union I was charged $42.62. They took it upon themselves to charge me an $8.00 tip. When I called them asking to speak to a manager the person that assisted me said that she could help. I told her the situation she said that it was her and it looked like I wrote $8.00 but, I told her that the total was written out $36.62 and it did not look like an 8. They did give me my money back because I will not be returning to this establishment. That definitely was a lesson learned, so be aware of what you are being charged in the end! read more

The staff was helpful and nice but that could not make up for just how bad the food was. It was lukewarm, soggy, poorly seasoned, and unappetizing. It is a buffet but a lot of the food was not Chinese food. The cleanliness of the place was not up to par, but I won't downvote a place for that, in fact, it takes a lot to make me write a poor review, and it pains me to write this one. The food is average Chinese buffet food. Although I didn't have it, the Mongolian grill option was nice. I would consider going back if not for the horrible service. I told the hostess I'd like a booth instead of a table and she yelled, "No booth! Only tables!" She always walked at least 10 steps as she seated people and rudely directed people to their tables. The waiter never checked on me and I had to go get my own refill of tea. When I paid there was no smile and the cashier didn't ask any questions about my experience. Bottom line, they don't care. food was so disgusting i felt sick after eating the sushi. fish was old and discolored, the avocado was also dark and old. the rice on the sushi was hard. i tried the garlic bread and it was stale and dry. i was too scared to try anything else because it looked so unappealing. the ice cream area gave me shivers the flavors look like they have been there for over a month. Tried out the "new" Chinese buffet in Round Rock. It's located where YeStar used to be. There were homemade signs posted that said "Grand Opening" and "Under New Management". The layout of the restaurant is the same as YeStar. It looks like the furniture in the main dining area has been upgraded and new flooring installed. The room looked bright and clean. The food really hasn't change, either. That's not a bad thing as it was standard fare buffet food, not great and not bad. The bars were stocked with fresh hot food. The Mongolian Grill is my favorite and it hasn't changed either. The food I had was fresh and hot. Service was good. My drink was never empty. They have raised their prices. I came for a weekday lunch. It was $8.99. Sodas/teas are now $1.99. It's still not bad for what you get, though a little pricey for typical Chinese fare. read more

First, a warning: Go to the bathroom at home first, then when finished eating there, go to the bathroom at home. The men's restroom is disgusting, with customers apparently too lazy to aim at the urinal, but rather just aim at the floor. Now the food: for the money the food is decent, and some dishes are actually good. The food trays are always replenished and the variety is pretty impressive. There is something for every taste. The price is reasonable, the food is reasonably good with some misses. Don't go there on a date, go there if you are really hungry and you just want to eat a lot of food. And stay away from the restroom. read more

This is just Ye Star under a different name. No Nigiri Sushi, no decent crab (crappy soft shell crab instead of snow crab). Definitely won't be back. Service was OK except they mixed up our drink order and forgot to give my mother in law her senior citizen discount even though she told them when we were seated, so they had to reprint the check. Most food was either mediocre or just OK, but some things like the Jalapeno, honey and Tso's chicken were good. Food was hot and constantly restocked, but lots of empty desert plates and just crumbs left in the peanut brittle container. I love this place! It's a Buffett people...it's just like any other Buffett...you get what you pay for, and I mean literally. This place has so much to choose from that I always leave knowing that I more than got my money's worth. The people have always been very friendly, as well. The cashier, Nina, is what she said her name was, called me a liar, saying that my daughter was 4 and not 3 years old as she actually is, i clearly told the waitress she was 3 years old and on the ticket they wrote she was 4 and tried to over charge me since there is a price difference, i have been there several times when it was Ye Star as it WAS one of my favorite places to eat but i will never return to be treated so rudely and with NO RESPECT, very unprofessional and i am very disappointed. read more

It's good but not the best, as the majority of buffets are. The reason why I'm writing a review is because I want to mention a few things that could be fixed. This buffet is really good at keeping the food area clean and replenishing the food when its low or completely out...BUT, they suck doing so with the sushi. The sushi is alright accept I wish they had a better selection and I wish that they could keep the sushi area more clean. The crab legs and other sea food are my boyfriends favorite...it tastes so good he eats the shell too. Other than the issues I listed I would recommend this place. read more

Me and my husband went today and the food was so gross that I spit it out on my plate the broccoli was horrible, the French fries where white , white people they weren't even cooked all the way. The chicken sauce was watery. It wasn't even a glaze the waitress sat us down asked for our drinks and then after didn't come back to see if we needed anything. Ughh never again read more
