Don't judge this restaurant by what you see outside. It might not look like much but the food for a buffet style selection is good.. All dishes were fresh and hot. It's definitely a must try. The waitresses were friendly and very attentive to service

I felt Like the main buffet was offering food that was entirely too greasy. But the sushi was delicious. Despite the oils pooling up in the hotel pans , I tried to skim the food and enjoy myself. I did consider the food to have a good flavor. But I just couldn't get past all that oil.

They sell food by the pound. It's fairly inexpensive and reasonably good food. If you are into Chinese buffets you'll be into this.

I most love China Flag for one of their fried shrimp choices, the lightly battered smaller shrimp that is peeled except for the tip of the tail. Their snow crab legs are also very popular and I must admit that I have eaten plate-fulls of them. They have the best fried frog legs around. Their sesame chicken is also very good. My son and I have contests on who can peel and eat the most of their boiled shrimp in a given amount of time. I sometimes let him win. China Flag has a decent hibachi too. The employees are professional and efficient at refilling your drinks and removing the plates you are finished with. Their very limited sushi selections have increased in quality from downright scary to very mediocre. I would highly recommend skipping their sushi if that is what you are in the mood for and going to Sumo's Supreme Buffet on Youree Dr. beside Red Mango or going to a real dedicated sushi restaurant.

Yummy yum yum! I loooove China Flag!

The employees here are very nice and their food is quite good. I just wished they sold spirits or alcoholic beverages.

My party and I had a wonderful experience at Chen's Garden in Shreveport. We started with the crab…read morerangoons, which were fried perfectly with a rich, flavorful crab filling. We also tried the soft-shell crab--it was beautifully presented and tasted incredibly fresh. One guest ordered the seafood combination dinner and said everything was well-cooked, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The fried rice that came with the seafood dinner was cooked very nicely with egg and great texture. Another had the orange chicken, and although there were several chili peppers in the sauce, it wasn't too spicy--just right. The orange flavor really came through, and everything was fried crisp, not soggy. I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix dinner (General Tso's chicken and shrimp with onion and ginger slices), and it was hands down the best General Tso's I've ever had. The shrimp were beautifully cooked, and I opted for lo mein instead of rice--it was fresh, lightly sauced, and not oily at all. This is not a buffet, and honestly, it felt like stepping back 40 years to when Chinese restaurants were more intimate, authentic, and personal. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the time from ordering to receiving our food was impressively quick. I highly recommend this hidden gem. They also offer sushi and a variety of lunch specials (we visited outside of lunch hours), and everything looked so good that I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

After 5 years, I guess I'm overdue for a upgrade on that 3 star review. It had been COVID. Things…read morewere not great. But not so bad that I haven't continued to frequent the business. Usually through the convenient drive through window. Just call in your order and it'll probably be ready when you get there. This review will be focused on my last dine in visit. June 6th 6:20 PM- party of 2. We were sat around the corner in a secluded table. Simma was pretty okay with it. Taste China has a somewhat limited "full" bar offering liquor, beer and wine. Our ML arrived at 6:26 ($4) Appetizers at 8:30 and 8:33 (eggrolls and pot stickers) the food wasn't overly greasy. The Eggrolls were crispy and flaky, while the potstickers were a combination of crispy and chewy. Jason usually orders the LSU roll- a battered and fried sushi roll. He gives it 5 stars. I would prefer to chuck it the garbage. No star. He likes it because it does not have avocado. I hate it because it's hot and fried. (Picture included) Last time we were there I ordered the Happy Family ($16) a deliciously saucy blend of several meat- chicken , beef, shrimp, crawfish and scallops. On this visit we agreed to share and I ordered the same dang thing. (Imma have to expand my menu) Everything was delicious. The service was Amazing.dinner for 2 was $36.
