Would you like to be transported back in time to ancient china?…read more How about just testing your spice tolerance to see if you can hang with the best? Well, if you want all of that, PLUS hot pot, look no further - this is the place to be! There is a reason this is one of the highest recommend spots to visit when you're in Flushing. First off, entrance? SO UNASSUMING. It's like, the tiniest door, with no real obvious signage. Once you go through, you basically feel like you're in one of the ancient alleys of China - decor is 1000% great. We had a larger party of 7, and they were luckily able to accommodate us since we lined up a few minutes before opening on a Friday. We actually got IMO the best seats in the house - towards the back, elevated up on some steps, a mini pavilion essentially. But enough about the decor.. how was the food? Well.. GREAT! And honestly, for NYC prices, not too expensive (but a bit pricy for flushing I guess). The quality was top notch (highly recommend trying the mala quail eggs) and the spice of the broth was GREAT! We went with medium since our server (amazing btw, thank you Sean / Shawn / Shaun??) said that he can't even go near hot, it burns his eyes. Medium was just perfect - felt great eating it with some sweats, regretted it the day after, which means I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Meats were good quality, veggies were yummy. I wish the shrimp paste had more in terms of quantity, we barely had seven bites for each of us, but it was really good. Also, pro tip, probably don't order Napa Cabbage, a lot of their other dishes will sit on top of a whole leaf, so you'll probably get enough from that unless you want to consume half a head. Sauce bar is $2 a person - which might be shocking for some to know they charge it, but it's pretty much the norm at a higher end hot pot place in big cities. At least they don't charge $6-$8 like some places and only throw in a few apps/desserts to try to justify it. Overall, really loved this place, and would definitely go back.

From the moment we walked…read morein, it never felt rushed or transactional--everything was intentional, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. They kept surprising us with little extras throughout the meal, which didn't feel gimmicky, just generous and attentive in a way that's rare. What really stood out, though, was something that happened before we even sat down. My family and I were outside juggling a bunch of stuff, and one of the workers noticed. She wasn't even actively assigned to us, but she came over, held the door open, and insisted on helping carry everything in. She didn't just drop it off either--she walked with us all the way until we were seated. That kind of effort, especially when it's not "required," says a lot about the culture there. Beyond the service, the value is just strong. The quality, portions, and overall experience easily justify the price. It's one of those places where you leave feeling taken care of, not just fed.

Seated very quickly and got the lay of the land. Ordered on the iPad. It is not all you can eat so items can add up quickly. Items are usually delivered with the robot. The soup base came by a server. Staff is very nice and checks in occasionally without rushing. Pork stomach and chicken broth was very flavorful. This can double as a soup dish. Ordered wagyu which was buy one get one free. It's a good deal since a decent amount came. The Angus short rib wasn't bad either. Lobster isn't usually what I order at hotpot but added a touch. Taro was flavorful. Even though it's a la carte, one can get filled fast. There is ice cream, fruit and jelly to seal the deal. Got some cute toys for saying the magic words to the wait staff. Big clean open space. Enjoyed for lunch since it wasn't overly busy.

However, this means if you don't finish any of the ingredients they pack it up for you. There were certain misses such as the staff not providing any serving utensils (tongs, ladles, etc.), but there is a call button on the iPad, to which they respond quickly. The volume is medium in the space, and their hot pot tables are quite large that we felt really far away from our friends on the opposite side lol. While this meant that we had ample room for the food we ordered, it wasn't the easiest to have a conversation, so keep that in mind. They offer an AYCE option but only after 9pm, from what I understand.

We came on a Saturday at opening time and they were open but some things were not ready yet. The service was fast and efficient, just like how we like it, and the restaurant is nice and spacious, lots of table and can accomondate lots of people. This restaurant is very close to the style of restaurants in China, lots of free stuff that comes with the hot pot buffet package like free fruits, drinks, snacks, side dishes etc. which was really nice, really enjoyed their free jasmine milk tea. The menu was slightly confusing but nothing you can't navigate, the initial course of the wagyu meat was very very good, and the rest of the meat were very good as well, all thinly cut and fresh. We got the gold package and the seafood platter was impressive too. My husband doesn't eat seafood and I wanted to try their seafood so we both got the gold package but couldn't finish most. The side dishes like wagyu sushi and bone marrow were really delicious as well. Some issues I had was that it took forever and ever for the food to come out when it's ordered from the kitchen, when there isn't that many filled tables, and when you have a 90 min time limit to dine, I would expect things to come out quickly. Also, we would order stuff from the menu and some of them would just never come... until the waiter tells us that we can grab them ourselves from the side dish section, then why have it on the menu at all to be ordered...? These new restaurants are fun and this one was good enough I probably would come back, but some of these small details make me prefer the older/more traditional restaurants in flushing.

I saw there was a whole wait at the front while we were eating! There is a one-time price depending on which soup base you order, and it may cost a bit more if you order a half/half, followed by the set AYCE price per person for hot pot. Soft drinks are free, and it is BYOB! Be careful with ordering the spicy soup base though - the medium spice was wayyyy too hot I recommend having only one person be in charge of ordering with one phone on everyone's behalf, because we ended up accidentally ordering a bit more than we expected since we each used the QR code in our individual phones all at the same time, and we ended up having to cancel the last round when everything came to our table, (which they were super nice about and did not charge us extra!) The portions were not too large, but definitely order in rounds so you don't overwhelm yourself! As dessert, I recommend the fried buns with condensed milk. They also offer free hotpot +/- a week from your birthday if you show your ID!

There's often a long wait on weekends, especially during the peak lunch and dinner hours. Lucky for us, we usually eat early dinner around senior hours of 4pm-5pm and less waits. Our kids go to Goldfish swim school which is literally across from the restaurant. This is the most convenient choice for us to sit down and have a quick hotpot meal. The food quality is one of the best around the area in my opinion. The broth is comparable to the other ones around Flushing. You order via a tablet and the food comes out fairly quick. The service has been great every time we been here. The sauce station carries some snacks as well, such as pigs ear, seaweed salad, peanuts. I think this may change from time to time. I also recall them charging everyone $2 to access the sauce station when they first opened, but I didn't see that on my bill last week.
