The menu here is VERY LARGE. It's available for both lunch and dinner. It has Starters, Soups, Noodles, Rice, Seafood, Poultry, Fish, Pork and Beef. It is very authentic in it's delicious food offerings. The service is fast and friendly. When you walk in you read the menu, the Team takes your order and your name. Once prepared your name is called and you receive your food and you take it to your table. The inside eating area is large for the size of the restaurant and the outside eating area offers a view of the Rockies. Great food, awesome service in a very comfortable environment. When you are in Boulder and looking for some tasty food come to China Gourmet you'll be glad you did.

Delicious with a wide variety of options! The only Chinese restaurant my very picky Asian parents will go to in Boulder. My favorites are the mapo tofu and the spicy beef with veggies. And noodles!

The difficulties with are in my previous reviews. Now much of the facility has been torn down and the ongoing construction of the space to be city staff offices and the bigger space to be affordable housing had become impractical to use or eat at the restaurant. The noise was deafening. In January they moved to a food court on the Hill. This is a lower level of a building with other tenants. There are about 6 food kitchens and each time I have been here this summer and fall, this is the busiest at lunch. Since the seating is communal there is always space and it is clean. The staff here have been really nice. If I'm preparing a meal at home or supplementing leftovers, I have stopped by to get a fave vegetable, baby bok choy, steamed and seasoned and at an affordable side dish price. Today my husband and I walked down for lunch and ordered the Tuesday special street crepes some of the owners have continued from the long gone first owners from Beijing. As with other succeeding owners, they too have continued to use lettuce rather than the bok choy in the crepe. It also has some ham, scallions and crispy wonton bits and a nice spread of hoisin. It is topped with a sprinkle of black sesame seeds that I love. Another difference from the original is that the ingredients of the crepe itself are not well mixed together so many large patches of separate egg white and yolk makes it harder to hold together and not as pretty. But it tastes just fine but original years ago was addicting. I will continue to come here try more of the food from the current owner. I love beef noodles and have 2 other places I can get a good version but this is the most walkable for me. They do very nice prep for takeout which is good too. At lunch it is busy with CU affiliated students, staff and faculty alike. Every item I have had at Flower Pepper is hand made and prepared for the customer.

They had dried sauce splatters on the floor near the sauce counter that have been there for days. There were flies galore flying and landing everywhere! I was thinking if it is so gross at the entryway... how clean is the kitchen! We walked right out. We don't want to pay premium prices just to get sick. They used to be pretty clean and well supervised at their old location on 9th and Pearl st. Look like they've gone downhill , so sad, ....the food was pretty good. I hope they do a deep cleaning for the safety of their customers.

Their original kitchen, Zoe Ma Ma is now a half block further west on Pearl. They cover much in the way of Asian specialties for West Pearl. At Dragonfly, they make their own noodles and they are very good. I had some last night in my pho and am looking forward to getting the Yuki Udon next time. My husband wanted a selection of Bao so chose the roasted duck, the pork belly and the Dragonfly. He really liked them all. I love duck Bao so I had one too. Because it was chilly out I got the smoked brisket Pho too and had to bring some home since it was a lot to eat on top of the Bao. I lived the fresh basil leaves and the crunchy crisp bean sprouts. I opted out of the spicy peppers an onion as I find them harsh everywhere. I totally forgot to add a few other options as I live bok choy too. You can get a full menu of options online to order at your table by phone but we prefer and they offer a full sized menu at the counter. Note, that a nominal tip is included which is thoughtful and fair to customers and workers alike. They share duties but noted the owner who makes the noodles in the adjacent space was leaving as we were eating. You can see some of the equipment through the glass partition. They were out of oolong tea and I was hoping for some on a chilly day so I hope it is there next time as a long winter ahead of us. My husband had the iced Thai tea with his Bao. That tea is too sweet for me with condensed milk in it. We will definitely be back later. If I have pho again or my husband has it with rare steak as he plans , I hope the broth will be hotter to cook it some. If we could rate with half stars I'd go 4.5 though it was not quite perfect enough for a 5. But we will be back and pretty soon.

I was choosing between Shrimp with Vegetables on the Chinese menu and a Vietnamese Noodle Bowl with Chicken and Eggroll. I went with the Vietnamese Bowl. My friend got the same only with shrimp. Both were delicious! There is a mild spice on the grilled chicken and it seemed like it might be the same one on the shrimp. I tasted hers. Delectable. And both were tender. The eggroll was nice and crunchy. The noodles were good. I would have liked more vegetables, and we both asked for more sauce. Not sure why they don't give more to start with. At other restaurants, I've always been served with enough sauce from the beginning. But he brought more of it promptly when we asked. I could only eat about half of mine. Because it was room temperature to begin with, hopefully the leftovers are OK having sat in my car for hours! The decor was nice. Tile on both the floor and walls.
