So happy there's a China Mama next to us up here in Summerlin!! It's like having one of the best restaurants in Chinatown up here. The food is a great deal with how expensive everything seems to be lately.. This is a take out spot- there's not real seating for you to sit and eat at - more so a location where you can phone in orders for pick up (takes me usually ~25 minutes). I think 2 entrees would be enough food for 3 people (if picking up an extra side of rice) Things I'd recommend: 1) Crispy beef- Like orange chicken but with crispy pieces of beef! 2) Stir fry green beans- so good! I usually don't like veggies but this one does not taste like a vegetable at all in regards to the seasoning (in the best possible way) 3) Cucumber salad w/ minced garlic - refreshing! 4) Spicy wontons- similar to Din Tai Fung (though not as good-) but definitely a lot cheaper. 5) Sizzling beef- very tender; really good with their chili oil added on too. read more

Going back here this time was CRAZY!!! I was the only one there when I went to order. It took me at least 5 minutes to order. So by the time I ordered, a few people came in about a few minutes later. In about 10 minutes after I ordered the kitchen started pushing orders every 3-5 minutes. After about the 8th order mines finally came out. So 20 minutes later I FINALLY got my food. This time around I ordered chicken chow fun and wonton with Szechuan sauce. They both tasted great BUT I don't think I would order the wontons here again. By the time I got home,5 minutes later, I started eating and the wontons soaked the sauce way too much that they broke apart. While I was eating the wontons I had to try to pick the white part too. Didn't like that. Maybe if I were to eat in a restaurant I would order that but not for takeout anymore. It did taste delicious tho. The chicken chow fun to me is better than the beef chow fun. Don't get me wrong, the beef chow fun is delicious, but I think the chicken chow fun is a little less oily. Do I recommend this place? Hell yah!!! I just think you should order before going in. Feeling grateful to have this in my neighborhood. This location on Lake Mead and Rampart is strictly take out. No seating what-so-ever. Well, a few seats if you wandered in and needed to wait for your order, but no place to sit and dine. The food is great. Everything you'd expect from China Mama but on a slightly smaller scale. Everything I've tried has been good: Crispy Beef, Hot and Sour Soup, Wontons in Red Oil. All good. My one hiccup is that, while everything is good, the menu isn't super extensive and is missing a lot of what I'd love to have from such a quality take-away location. I have favorites that just aren't available here and that makes this sort of a niche spot for me...only when I want something specific that they offer...not my go-to place for Chinese. read more

We did a bunch of take out for a family dinner. My hubby got the beef and broccoli which he liked! The salt and pepper wings were good but nothing special for me. I really wanted to try the beef roll. They were good but they were missing the sauce that is supposed to come with them. My orange chicken was good, but a little too sticky. We've been going to 2 other China Mama's in town for years and never been disappointed, always seasoned perfectly and delicious! Unfortunately, we've ordered take out at this location and it was a miss. Sorry to say, everything was over seasoned, mostly too salty, and all was overcooked except the Shrimp fried rice (but was very skimpy with the shrimps (5). The Crispy Beef was the only item that resembled the other restaurants, but again over cooked. We barely could finish what we had on our plate because most of it was inedible, too chewy. Threw the rest away. Service at the counter was as expected, not exactly welcoming but ok. When you walk in, there's the counter to order on the right, chairs on the left to wait, so no ambience to talk about. Overall, we're not sure if we'd give this take out another go because of all the negative feedback on the entrees we ordered. Not recommended, for now. read more

We love China Mama, and we visited this Express location after conveniently coming from a movie at AMC Rainbow! It has all of the menu essentials - all without the wait that you would normally have at the usual dining locations. Wow, I didn't expect to see China Mama in this area! Although this is their Express concept--meaning take-out only--they still deliver the same great quality. They've been expanding across Las Vegas, and now they've opened a new location at Lake Mead & Rampart! We tried the Salt & Pepper Ribs and the Stir-Fried Green Beans--both were absolutely delicious. It's definitely not your typical fast-food Chinese takeout like Panda Express; it actually tastes like dishes straight from their full-service restaurant. So happy to see them open here.
