Yukga Korean BBQ straight up means "6th Street" Korean BBQ. Makes me wonder if the owners rolled out of L.A., because 6th Street in K-Town used to run the game. Now? California keeps letting all the good spots die. Classics dropping left and right. Even Hamji Park on 6th Street is gone. R.I.P. But Yukga off Sahara Avenue hidden behind the El Pollo Loco is not going anywhere. This is the locals' all-you-can-eat joint, and we usually roll with the Silver AYCE menu which has a little bit of everything. Best meats are the jumulleok, which is thinly sliced beef, usually short rib or chuck, kneaded or massaged with seasonings into a freaking happy ending, the hanger steak which they call hanging tender with their Morning Glory EngRish is hella legit, and the pork jowls slap like Jay Leno's chins. Yukga also has all the intestines, but skip the small intestines called gob chang, because they cook those in the back and they come out dry. LA Galbi is okay, but the Soy Top-Blade is the real deal. Parking is easy, but expect long ass waits on weekends. Props to Yukga for letting solo diners in. Not sure if they make money off those single eaters.

It was our first time here on a Saturday. Surprisingly no line we got seated in two minutes. We chose the bronze menu which was $26.95. I really like the beef belly, and the creamy shrimp. The creamy shrimp is breaded and deep fried with a creamy sauce on the side that reminds me of honey walnut shrimp and the seafood tofu soup was bomb 10/10 it's a kimchee tofu soup with clams and shrimp. The service were very fast you constantly have servers checking up on you. The ventilation wasn't that great it was smoky at sometime. It was a a big spacious open floor plan. The restrooms were kept cleaned for the most par time. Definitely don't mind coming back here.

Simon and Seth was our server and he did an excellent job. Good food choices. Different marinated meats for example jumuluck (soy sauce marinated short ribs) It's a one time order. I recommend ordering all of the 1 time order meat choices. They have bronze, silver , and gold Ayce. The pricing is 26.95-46.95 Sides- kimchi, fish cake, tofu with side of chili sauce Second time here will be back. Ambiance- pretty loud for the dinner time

We had a party of 6 adults and 4 children with us and they were able to accommodate us in a fairly quick time as a walk in. We had 2 grills to cook between our party. We chose the silver AYCE. Keep in mind we've gone to plenty of kbbq and was surprised there isn't any sides that typically comes out but they did have small handful that can be ordered as sides on the menu but they are tiny so you would have to order a couple times. I did not like them suggesting where the party member sits at the table as we understood we like to keep the kids in the booth between the grills for a reason and the adults on the ends and we were comfortable and wasn't even feel squished to begin with? Then make a comment about my phone being too close to the grill (it was not..) I'm a yelper so I had it out to snap a few pictures. Just little comments that was not welcomed or asked. The menu included names of meats but there isn't no descriptions about it and there's no way we would of known what type of cut of meat it is!? Then of course we asks the servers what they are each time we attempt to order and they just seem annoyed and maybe it's just an off day and no one wants to work but still. We also had to ask for grilled changes. We placed a tray stand with our meats on it on the walk way and honestly they plop it there and being sat with my back directly against it.. I didn't even see the meats was delivered! Corn cheese was watery when cooked like as if they used canned corn. Soy fried chicken was over fried and dry. Ok, what I did like that got me to give the stars was the kimchi pancakes as our party ordered about 3-4 because it's a small sized pancake size but it was good. Jumuluck marinated beef had great flavor along with bi bim bap. Price point isn't bad but the quality I think just isn't there. Definitely get what you paid for.

The service is good. Your typical Korean BBQ restaurant. Some are friendlier the others but still good. The meat quality is top notch. Food is good, well made, and quick. I wish they had rice paper but that's fine. The restaurant is clean and open with great air ventilation. Definitely a good place.

What a fun experience! Our boys kept requesting this restaurant for the longest time. We arrived late on a Saturday night. Party of five. Didn't wait very long. We were provided great experience through out our meal. Our multiple servers provided great recommendations and tips as Korean Barbecue first timers. The meat was high quality. Chicken was flavorful. Each and every side was delicious. Will definitely return to try new items!

My family and I come here all the time. There's never been a wait anytime I've visited. We love the food. I think the bibimbap rice makes everything especially worth it. It's spacious and has a good vibe!

In town visiting friends and they take us for some Korean BBQ a fan favorite for our group. This AYCE place had an extensive menu tiered in three levels. We went for the middle tier which allowed us to pick anything in that tier and below. We tried a plethora of different meats and BAM this place is legit. Excellent service and top notch chow. I'll be back!

I give a 2 star bc usually it's been great with this location. I have been here with friends and family many times. I love the cold noodle here, therefore I drive a long way to eat here. I ordered the cold noodle, but there barely any soup in it. So I asked the server (guy with glasses) to either switch with another noodle or give me more soup. He said, "sorry I can't change it bc kitchen made it, if you want more soup I have to charge you $2.50" WTH, this is all you can eat bbq! You charge to give out more soup when you barely put any? This is so disappointing. Please get someone who can provide a better service!!

Came here for lunch on a Tuesday. We arrived around 11:45 and a few tables were there already. We chose the lowest tier lunch AYCE for $25.95. Service was quick and attentive. The meat was good and I really liked the kimchi they served. I am sad intestines wasn't included in their lunch AYCE and that didn't offer radish or rice paper wraps. But you're able to order bibimbap and cold noodle! Overall, great experience and I love it was away from Chinatown and on the west side of town! We would definitely come back again to try the other tiers!

Not for the meat, but you can ask for refills on side dishes. The meat portions are large.

The taste and value is really great, actually. If you are looking for your "halmoni's" (grandma in Korean) authentic, homemade, caring, handmade flavors and can ignore the no-frills, don't -care, terrible location and zero curbside appeal, this is your place. Imagine going to an old neighborhood Korean home where the kimchee to the broths and banchan are made with love. The scissors are sharp so you can easily cut the perfectly fermented, primly pickled kimchee and the cucumbers (oi kimchee) are fresh and the beef broth deeply steeped and rich with flavor. Plus it's an absolute bargain for what you get. I think we ordered almost one of everything (for just the three of us) just to taste it. The naengmyun (cold noodles) were fine. Not exceptional, but decent. The saam and chive pancake was very good. Value is high, taste is high; authenticity very high. Huge portions in today's world of cutting back. But I feel fortunate to find a "go-to" for my korean cravings. Like walking into my auntie's house for some warm, deeply comforting, home-cooked k-meal. Craving the dogani bone broth soup now!! (Would have taken photos but it would have hard to judge based on photos alone. This is a place you have to go to just to taste it, not look at it).
