I am still in disbelief about my order today. I mean who would actually go as far as even packing anything of this quality, even the smell confirmed how burnt it was. Had the nerve to charge $8.50. Definitely not taking anymore L's with this place. Good luck to anyone who decides to try China Wok.

House special low mein(small)

I order the low mein special and it was perfect. Service was extremely quick and the restaurant is always being maintained by staff at the front.

The food was quick. But the taste was awful. I ordered the honey wings and chicken fry rice. I will not be returning.

Ordered to go fried rolls (chicken) and they were cold, soggy, and not at all fresh tasting. Hot & Sour soup tasted completely different than previous orders and the Thai Red Curry with chicken was watery and underwhelming. They forgot our rices that we ordered to accompany the entrees. Maybe they were just having a bad night but lately it has been a trend.

Let me back…read moreup and say the portion size was decent but that's where the stars end on because I can't give half a star. We arrived just a few minutes after it opened and there only two people who arrived to pick up food. It was otherwise empty until one couple came in about 20 minutes later. I am not sure why, but it took forever for our food to get to our table. We asked for two different levels of hot and neither one of them had any level of hot, and I think that's because of the language barrier between us and the server. Beyond the hotness level, the pad Thai had a very faint tomato taste, and other than that had no flavor of spices of any kind. We also found little pieces of scrambled egg in the bottom that also was just there, but didn't add to the flavor of the dish as it normally does. I don't know that I've been disappointed with a pad Thai dish in this way in such a long time. I'll keep looking at my travels and when I let you know if I find another great spot for pad Thai in this area I will definitely post.

She clarified whether…read morewe wanted egg or spring rolls and I appreciate that as well as her promptness with letting us know the wait. (we ordered about 15 min before we arrived so we knew there would likely be a slight wait). While the service was pleasant, there was a slight smell in the restaurant even tho employees were cleaning right before closing. Most importantly the two stars are because the food quality was poor. Chicken was not cooked well (but thankfully not raw), there was not enough seasoning or marinade for chicken (ex: no garlic taste) and very minimal vegetable included in hunan chicken dish which comes with carrots broccolli among other vegetables normally depending on the restaurant. Food was hot when served but half of the portion was brown rice listed as "fried rice" but had no veggies or eggs and also seemed bland. Besides soy it lacked a lot of flavor, and this was disappointing. I hope cuisine improves in future hopefully this was related to ordering near closing time (45 min before) but unfortunately I would not return due to this experience. I wish them the best and service seems like it would be decent, but food quality is priority for me.

After moving to the area, I was hoping to find a great local spot for Chinese takeout, and The…read moreOrient absolutely delivered. I ordered the lo mein with a side of yum yum sauce, and from the first bite, I knew I'd be ordering from here again. The food arrived surprisingly hot, which says a lot about both the restaurant and the delivery service. Everything tasted fresh, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the flavor was exactly what I was hoping for. The yum yum sauce was a great addition and paired really well with the meal. The portion size was generous--honestly more than I would normally eat in one sitting. But it was one of those meals where I kept telling myself, "Just one more bite," until I realized I'd eaten almost all of it. That's always a good sign. If the lo mein is any indication of the quality of the rest of their menu, I'm excited to come back and try more dishes. Finding a dependable takeout restaurant can be tough, but I think I found one. If you're looking for fresh, flavorful Chinese food with generous portions, The Orient is definitely worth a try.

5/5 stars I was in town for a business trip and decided to…read morestop by The Orient on a Wednesday evening after a long day of meetings. Since I wasn't in the mood to sit down and eat, I went ahead and placed a call-ahead order for their House Lo Mein along with an order of fried chicken wings. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious with a nice, welcoming atmosphere once you step inside. The décor gives off a classic Chinese restaurant vibe that feels comfortable and relaxing. Parking, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. The spots right in front of the building are limited, so I ended up using the extended parking lot, which was a little dark and had that slightly eerie feeling at night -- nothing too wild or dangerous, but definitely not the most well-lit area I've seen. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was pleasantly greeted right at the door by the staff, who provided genuinely friendly and efficient customer service. That warm welcome made the whole pickup process smooth and quick. Once I got back to my hotel room and finally dug into the food, I have to say the House Lo Mein was prepared with fresh ingredients and good quality noodles and vegetables. It wasn't the most outstanding lo mein I've ever tasted in my life -- I've had versions that were more flavorful and better seasoned -- but it certainly wasn't the worst either. I'd honestly describe it as pretty mid-tier: solid, reliable, and worth what I paid for it on that particular evening. The fried chicken wings, on the other hand, really stood out to me. They were extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and actually had some noticeable flavor and seasoning, which made them quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a decent and satisfying meal that hit the spot after a tiring day. The portions were generous enough, and the value felt reasonable. I could definitely see myself returning to The Orient sometime in the future if I find myself back in the area and in need of a quick Chinese takeout option. That said, with plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer more affordable prices and bolder flavors, it probably wouldn't be my absolute first choice the next time I'm craving something similar. Still, if you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss spot with friendly service and consistently okay-to-good food, The Orient is worth considering.
