The skewers were sort of dry and chewy...and I don't know that they tasted like bolgogi. The tuna tartar app tasted heavily of lime and nothing else and the cuts on the tuna were pretty messy and made it a bit difficult to eat. The grouper entree was okay, but the piece of fish I got looked like a baseball in that it was thick and sort of round? It made it just kind of tough and overcooked on the outside and a little undercooked on the inside. The chicken fried rice was good, but nothing to write home about.

She was attentive and used her talents to help recommend entrees from the menu. Our starter was the bulgogi skewers which were perfectly balanced with sweet and Korean spice. The edamame was our least favorite dish. I did discuss this with kalby and the manager. The idea was there but poor execution. The gochujang sea salt...the gochujang just wasn't there and once you ate that top layer all you got was oily edamame, so much oil...you wouldn't need chapstick for the rest of the day. Then wins though came from the cocktails. Ours were delicious and my old fashion was spot on. Also in the win was the sunset sushi, beautiful and fantastic, along with Korean crispy chicken. The peanut sauce was the perfect balance to that meal. Now...what we also loved that should be permanently on the menu was the mochi. We had 4 of them and they were wonderful! Everyone should be able to experience these. But ocean hai on your list as a must try place for sure.

My dates lobster Brie Bennie was delicious as well, their only complaint was the water crest they added as a garnish atop the sandwich which she easily picked off. Great prices and solid food…read more I recently read a book about how most grouper isn't actually grouper. The book called out that Frenchy's grouper is the real deal because they fish for it themselves. That was enough to make me want to try this restaurant. I'm glad they have this location, because it was two minutes from Opal sol where we were staying. We were here at about 1130 on a Saturday and there was tons of seats available. It doesn't seem that big, but being that it's pretty far south from a lot of other places I think the size fits the demand. You can sit outside on the first floor or upstairs. Upstairs, there were only about eight tables, but it was air-conditioned and we had a nice view of the beach. All the drinks are so inexpensive. We are talking less than $10 each. I got a butter, pecan old-fashioned and my husband got a margarita and we both enjoyed our drinks. For our entrées, I got a super grouper grilled sandwich with coleslaw, my younger son got a pretzel that was in the shape of Fish, my older son got a chicken tender basket, and the two of them shared, and my husband got a peel and eat shrimp. This was the perfect amount of food for all of us, we ate it all. The pretzel was a huge hit, it comes with queso, and the kids demolished it. The grouper sandwich tasted a little dry, but again I love the fact that it is real grouper so I would definitely try again. Service was pretty quick and music was old school (think Price). As for dessert, my one bday request was key lime pie and this place delivered that request! Titled the 'margarita key lime pie,' it's infused with with reposado infused lime. An absolute delight! I made it back to my hotel 2 minutes walk just before the thunder and lightening opened the Downpour. It was my last night in Clearwater. I would have gone back. The service was amazing, big smiles friendly and the food was fresh. Highly recommend
